Shopping at YC/BC question...

When we went for our sons birthday in 2001, we stayed at Wilderness Lodge, the "Store" there was wonderful - we shopped for his Birthday without having to leave the Lodge (bought nice Disney toys and clothes)...what was greaat is that they wrapped them and had them in the room when we got back from his birthday dinner!

Fast forward...we are going to stay at Beach Club next week for Daughters B-Day...

Question - Does either the BC or YC have the same type of store as WL? I mean not just clothes, but toys/dolls/etc?

Both BC and YC have in-resort stores with lots of resort and WDW themed merchandise. Never been to WL store, but I would guess the selection would be comparable.

another thing...

we just returned from the YC....there are stores on site...but if you take a quick strole over to the BW there are some other great stores! Just another idea!

I second Surfingoofy's suggestion. Take a stroll over to the shops on the Boardwalk and take a look at what they have. I do know that the store in the Beach Club had some Disney-themed dolls and other merchandise besides clothes, but you might find more of a selection on the Boardwalk.

You'll love it there. It is one of the quieter resorts I think. Getting to SAB is a bit of a hike, but nothing too awful bad. The only complaint I had was that we ended up with a room by the auxiliary elevator which lets out by the quiet pool. You could hear the elevator going until very late into the night. If you are a light sleeper it might be an annoyance.

If you are in a 1BR or 2BR, put all the dishes, glasses, and silverware through a wash cycle in the dishwasher. The cleaning crew is supposed to that, but I'd recommend doing it just to be sure. If you need extras like laundry detergent, towels, garbage bags, etc., leave a tip and note for the cleaning crew. The left us three extra boxes of laundry detergent, a bunch of garbage bags, and extra towels.

Moreso just sit back and enjoy. You'll love that area of WDW. Walking to both Epcot and MGM, or boating over to MGM. I don't think there's a better area to stay in my opinion.
