Okay so I have the idea of shopping around the world at Epcot. I have never been their so I would like some ideas on what to get at each country. Nothing to expensive just something from each country as a souvenier. I would like to get something that represents each country.

Ideas?

In Morocco my family always buys the woven trivets. They're only like $5 or something like that.

Also, we have always gotten those little fold-up change purses, but I don't know if they still have those.

Those are what we get in Morocco...I'll have to think about the other countries.

Not sure exactly what inexpensive means to you, but here's a few relatively inexpensive ideas:

Shot glasses
Pins
Candy
Mugs
Keychains

Or you could do something unique from each country. For example the Japan pavilion has bamboo table place mats for a few bucks. England has pub coasters. Canada has cool bottles of pure Canadian maple syrup. You could easily find something similar in each country.

China, I purchase pretty silk bedroom slippers for my aunts $10 each!
Japan, they had a "sale" table with great china bowls and spoon rest $1-$5.

I did a "chocolates/candy bar around the world" tour a couple years ago. I bought a "signature" chocolate/candy from each country, it was only a couple dollars at each place.

You can get a small troll in Norway. You can get inexpensive things in Mexico ... pinatas are only around $5. A small silk scarf or fan from China. Pick-a-pearl from Japan. Glass stein from Germany. Eiffel Tower figurine from France. Italy has unique kitchen items. Brass finger bells from Morocco. Etc., etc. Good luck ... sounds fun!

I liked the small cosmetic purse/bags in China. And I have bought many tea towels in France. They are an everyday reminder of our trip. Germany has nice Christmas ornaments, or candy. I never find anything I want in Italy. There is a great tea shop in UK. It has a variety of items. In Morocco, we bought a small aladdin type lamp.

ooooo ... I saw those small aladdin lamps in Morocco! Those were cute but I did not get. This trip in Epcot, we really slowed down and looked around more.

I enjoyed picking a pearl in Japan. You can get get it set in an inexpensive setting ... (mine was set in a rather expensive white gold w/diamond chips setting so it was NOT inexpensive) but picking the pearl itself is under $15! Whoops I see someone did mention picking a pearl but it is fun and unique!

I love all the ideas others have shared so far! :thumbsup2

I've bought personalized (your name) fans at Japan and China. Small waving kitten in Japan.

Earrings from Norway.

Small decorated flower vase in Mexico.

Aladdin lamp from Morocco.

Earrings from Italy.

All above reasonably inexpensive. In addition to drinking beverages from each country.

Great Idea! I do it almost everyyear we go. Here are some great Souvenirs that represent each country at an affordable price!

Norway: In the little gift shop after getting off the maelstrom they have tons of little traditional Norwegian Troll figurines. They are adorable, (well most of them) and pretty cheap.

Japan: You can buy little Japanese fans with pretty oriental designs on them. I recall seing some for $5 last trip.

Morrocco: GENIE LAMPS. haha yah you can get little miniature authentic looking Genie Lamps in the little shops.

France: They have the most adorable little parasols (SP?) they're all frilly and pretty! I think they have two sizes, a normal full size, and a mini one. Also they have miniature Eiffel Tower figurines.

Italy: I've never really bought any souvenirs from Italy, but trust me the delicious pastries are good enough. :teeth:

Canada: Ooh I just love the faux racoon hats you can purchase here. They also have a bout 74983750984 types of maple syrup if that's what you're into... :p haha, not to mention the little moose stuffed animals are adorable.

That's all I can think of now. Hope these were some good souvenir ideas. And I hope you have a wonderfully magical vacation!

We love to shop the countries but we mostly buy the candy ha ha

My girlfriend loves to wear chopsticks in her hair so I bought her some from China.

My other friend loves tea so I went to England.

There are so many nice, inexpensive things I am sure you will have no trouble.

We just got back from Epcot and found that most of the stuff in the counties was over priced junk. We decided to start a smashed penny collection instead of buying things. We had a lot of fun trying to find the machines at each country.

Chocolates or candies sounds like a good idea. Just fattening. :rotfl2: maybe we should stick with the pennies.

A keychain or something else maybe a doll, representing the nations flag or culture (the doll would do that). :thumbsup2

I really wish that I had bought a Christmas ornament from each country, but by the time I had the idea my feet were too tired to go back and get them. lol I got a beautiful tea set in Japan, picked a few pearls (nothing special though <sigh>), did get an ornament from Japan also. DS bought cats in China and Japan (he loves cats), Curly Wurly candy bars in UK (same as the old Marathon bars. Was sooo excited to see these!), a hand woven blanket in Mexico..... can't remember what else. I had lots of fun shopping in the countries. I would love to go back (without dh and ds waiting on me) and do more! ;)

I thought of another one...

I bought a pickle ornament in Germany. The small ones are inexpensive and you get a little card that tells the story of the pickle. Now it's on my Christmas tree (although for those who don't celebrate Christmas, it's still a neat keepsake!).

Okay, so that's trivets in Morocco and the pickle in Germany. I'll let you know if I think of anything else!!

I guess I'm going through World Showcase vicariously through you. I hate the feeling of not having a trip planned.

Oh well, have fun!
