Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

I believe this will be my last official PTR update. As much as I've been aching to start a real Pre-Trip Report, this is a very bitter-sweet moment for me. I've had such a blast planning with all of you and have made a few friends that I am sure I will stay in touch with long after I type 'the end' onto my trip report.

It's finally here! I'm manicured, pedicured, highlighted, spray-tanned and packed. Speaking of packing, it was truly an all-day affair. I had to steal 'G' away from his guitar this morning to approve of the clothes I have planned for him. He did not like the England track jacket that I wanted him to wear while touring the World Showcase. (I was trying to be festive for Pete's Sake!) Other than that, he gave me the thumbs up. Oh, and he's decided to ONLY wear gray socks from now on, so I had to search the house for ONLY gray socks.

Belle helped me check off my packing list. (Notice the nice pen marks, that could only be done my a meddling toddler. What a helpful girl she is!)

Here they are! Ready to go!

Tonight my mom is making a fabulous New Years dinner. My best friend Katie is coming over to join us. Then it's off to bed.

Tommorow I have to work and I plan on watching Disney movies on YouTube while I do it! Then I'm going to come home and try my hardest to sleep for a few hours before waking up and heading to Orlando.

Tina is still picking us up from the airport. She and her boyfriend broke up last night on New Years Eve. I wish I could re-hash the juicy details, but I love her and that's not what friends do. (I will tell you this much.... it involved Sponge Bob Squarepants. Not kidding! ) She's much better off without him and I'm glad that I won't have to deal with the akwardness of entertaining a stranger. (That's very selfish. Sorry!) I am certain that a few days at the happiest place on earth is a great way to mend a broken heart. What do you think?

So it's back to the original plan. Me, T and G!

Great update and a nice final farewell before your trip. Do your best to get some rest, cause you have lots of things to do in the next week!! So sorry to hear that Tina's heart is broken, but I think you're right, some TLC at the happiest place on earth will do her some good!! Spongebob squarepants? Hmm...

Looking forward to your TR, it's been a blast reading about your plans and getting to know you through your PTR. I can't believe your trip is FINALLY here!!! Enjoy every minute of your second honeymoon!!

I can't believe its almost here, you must be bouncing off the walls. It sounds like you have a lovely night planned, and I hope you manage to get some sleep tomorrow night too.

I am sure that T will be very thankful to have you there to have fun with and take her mind off things. I cant think of anywhere I would rather be to get over a broken heart.

Have a magical time!! I just read through the whole thread, what a great report. You have a gorgeous family. I can't wait to read about your trip. Your title is what pulled me in, I'm a hugh fan of the Shopaholic book series. It was so fun reading about your plans and shopping. BTW, I too love my UGGS!!

Have a wonderful trip!!!! I love your VB carry on bag!! I think I am just going to get the VB backpack---each kid will have a backpack, (for the plane) so I won't have to carry that much---I don't know if dh will carry a backpack at the world this time or not. if so, I really need the big VB. I hate dragging all that stuff----but what do you do with 5 people?!?!?! I know you are just bouncing off the walls!!! Ya'll are gonna have sooo much fun!
