Would slippers be okay, or does it have to be shoes? And I have PJs that cover way more than shorts and t-shirts, so way would those type of pjs not be acceptable? I'm really curious, not try to stir up trouble. I'm just trying to understand the issue.

But if I want my cup of tea before I have my shower, why should I get dressed if I feel comfortable in people seeing me in my jammies. Sure, it's a "public place" but if I don't care if you see me, why should you care what I choose to be seen in public wearing? I agree that "shirts and shoes" should be required ... heck, throw on yesterday's shirt if you don't want to dirty todays clothes before you shower. And yes, "things" that shouldn't be visible in public shouldn't be visible in the lounge either ... there's a great line of inventions called "undergarments" that go quite nicely under those robes !![]()
Same goes for those who get upset with people in the lounge in their bathing suits. I personally throw a t-shirt on over mine 'cause that's what I'm comfortable with when I head to the pool, but I don't find it offensive to see people in the halls/elevators etc that are just wearing their bathing suits. That's their choice, not mine. Now if they weren't wearing a suit at all ...And I certainly don't think someone with a WET bathing suit should have a seat in the lounge, but if they're grabbing a drink or a cookie after their swim, what's the big deal?
