my kids usually wear their crocs, or teva's in the warm weather. When it is cooler I usually do socks and sneakers. I prefer the former because they have a tendency to get wet in the sprinklers and such and their sneakers don't handle the wet very well.
Hi there. I still always worry about someone's feet ruining a trip. I usually prefer socks and sneakers with an extra pair of socks and flip flops for everyone in my backpack that I share with the waters. This way if the shoes get wet we've usually already drank enough waters so there is room in the backpack for the sneakers once I pull out the extra lightweight flip flops. Also, I always carry some mole skin already cut out into 1" squares for easy application and have had to use it occasionally in years past... a dot of hand cream over the blister keeps the moleskin from adhering to the blister itself.
