Shoe shopping at WDW marathon Expo

As anybody from Canada can attest, despite the Can/US dollars being approximately equal, running shoe prices here are outrageous. A $100 pair in the US would cost about $170 here. Anyways… that is another rant for another place/time.

Suffice to say, I want to pick up a couple pairs when I go down to the WDW Marathon Expo.

Do they sell all major brands there? Specifically, wondering about Asics and Nike

Also, do they have lots of inventory there? I take a wide fitting shoe and it is a bit harder to find my specific size at sports shops so thinking my chances are better if they have lots of shoes in stock

Finally, what are the prices like? More/less/the same as major US sporting goods stores?

If you don't see what you like, there are a number of close Nike stores to the parks. I believe there is one in celebration and one in Kissimee. Also a couple other huge ones in the Orlando market.

They sell all the brands during Marathon weekend at the Expo. Track Shack is usually the vendor and they have a few stores in the Orlando area. I witnessed one guest asking for something and they didn't have it at the Expo, but someone from one of the stores was coming to help and they called them and had them bring whatever this guy needed. I had never witnessed such great customer service. I can't remember what it was, it could have been shoes, but just know that they will go out of their way to help you.

I find the prices to be a little lower for some things and MSRP for others. They usually have all sorts of Expo specials. It couldn't hurt to e-mail them before the Expo to ask about the sizes. I know some sizes and widths (particularly with Nike) are all special order so you may want to have them order them for you beforehand.

There are usually several different vendors there selling shoes, so finding the ones you want shouldn't be a problem. I've stocked up on Asics there before. The latest & greatest model was usually at the regular retail price, and the previous model was about $100 or so.
