An update on my shipping....
The package was delivered on the day I expected. I picked it up from bell services - no problem.
My plan was to use the same box to ship some stuff home (costumes for the Halloween Party). I had a pre-printed return label and when I arrived I confirmed with the front desk that I would just need to drop off the box with bell services and they would ship the package for me.
We got back late from the party on Friday night and were due to leave on Saturday. I woke up Saturday morning at 6AM and realized that housekeeping had thrown away my box and packaging material!!! Oh, and the roll of packing tape that was in the box was tossed too. The problem was that the packaging material was not easily replaced - it was anti-static bubble wrap and some anti-static bags for the electronics that were part of the costume. I'm not going to lie, I was pissed that I had to deal with the loss of packaging material on the morning we were due to check out. I really could have used the sleep and done without the stress.
We managed to find one of the 3 anti-static bags left in our room and were able to cram the electronics into it. We could survive without the anti-static bubble wrap. Bell services came up with a box for me and loaned me their tape gun to tape it up. Luckily the return label was no where near any of the packaging that was tossed so I was good there.
I should have known better, this isn't the first time this happened to me. Last Fall my companion had a couple of pre-paid priority mail boxes folded up and set aside out of the way. Housekeeping tossed them. Once something is tossed, there is no getting it back.
So, a word warning.... If you have anything in your room that you want to save that may look like something that could be tossed, put a sign on it saying SAVE DO NOT THROW AWAY.
On the plus side, the return box showed up today, right on schedule.
