Ok I know it has been done and asked before....but now when I'm ready to do the shipping to my resort I can't find the old thread! So I want to order a few things from Disney Shopping and send it to my resort (Port Orleans). I know you need to put Port Orleans Riverside, Future Guest: my name, reservation # and the address of the resort. Where I'm getting confused is #1 Disney Shopping said USPS didn't recognize the address! I used 1251 Riverside Drive (Lake Beuna Vista....) Is that wrong? #2 I've read in other forums not to use USPS to ship to the resorts. What am I supposed to choose under shipping options? :confused3

When I stayed at POFQ in May, the address I used was:

Port Orleans French Quarters Resort
2201 Orleans Dr. Lake Buena Vista,
FL 32830-1000
407-934-5000

The address was accepted by UPS and when I looked at the tracking number online it said everything was delivered. When I checked in and asked about my packages, the front desk said the boxes were actually at Riverside. I forget the reason but all packages for French Quarters are delivered and held there. So you could give that address a try if the other one doesn't work for you.

I think the reason you're not suppose to use USPS is because your package gets sent to a sorting facility in WDW and not to the resort itself. The package then has to be delivered again to the resort. With courier services like FedEx, UPS etc, the packages will go directly to the resort...

When I choose shipping options is says (drop down menu to choose from) U.S.standard delivery, U.S. 2 day express, U.S. 3 day express and International. Do I have to use one of the express options to stay away from regular US mail delivery? Thanks for the help!

I *think* Disney Shopping uses DHL or UPS but you'll probably want to give them a call or send them an e-mail to confirm. As long as they're using a courier service and not USPS, you should be fine with whichever service you choose.

Sorry I wasn't able to be of more help.

Yes, when they say to avoid USPS, it's only because of the added delay of the mail sorting in another facility. Your package will get there, just a bit slower. Depending on when you check-in, it might be a problem or not. Last year, I placed orders 2 weeks before getting there, some of it was shipped UPS, some USPS, and everything was safely delivered to my room. I'm doing it again this year...

Well I had a lightbulb moment in that I remembered that last year I ordered stuff and sent it to my sister (in the states) and she had mentioned UPS. So I found my old order on Disney shopping and it listed the UPS tracking numbers (from that old order).....so it must be UPS! Thanks for replying though!
