Shipping things to the ship

Sorry for all the questions DD has started asking me to find out alot of new info with the change.....Can you ship things ahead of time to have there when you board the ship?? Since the guestlist will be smaller now she is thinking of welcome bags for people going on the cruise for the wedding. Has anyone shipped things ahead of time, or is this something that has to be pre arranged with her planner??
