I purchased the Ghluwein (hot spiced wine) from Germany. If you are a red wine drinker I highly suggest you try it. I loved lovvvvved it.

However I'm curious and wanted to ask if anyone has taken bottles home in their luggage or have shipped them home? I will not be having carry on.

Thank you

When I was in Portugal last year I went to the Port Wine Institute and bought a bottle of port that they don't sell in the states. I actually brought it home in my checked baggage with no issue, it was packed in a sealed bubble-wrap bag specifically for wine bottles..shipping can get expensive especially if it's only one bottle and depending on what state you live in you can't ship alcohol home

We have done both, shipping and carrying in luggage.

Bringing a bottle from Mexico in luggage was a winner financially. Shipping from WDW cost almost as much as the items we bought!

I generally bring a bottle of wine with me for vacation and wrap it in bubble wrap and a heavy plastic bag just in case it breaks. Never has tho...then I put it in the middle of the luggage surrounded by clothes.

Never brought any home, I tend to drink it there. :thumbsup2
