On our upcoming cruise (2 weeks from Sunday!! :hyper: ) I will be getting a LOT of stuff that I need to get home some how ... I don't really want to lug it in the luggage, and I was wondering if there was some way to ship it home.

Do they offer the service to ship packages from the ship? Can I ship packages from CC (without it taking 6 weeks to arrive at home and without it costing an arm & a leg)?

Or, is there a post office (or UPS or Fedex) inside of Orlando airport????

If memory serves me correctly there is a US Post Office at MCO , it is located in the mall area between the North and South terminals.

There is a Mail Boxes Etc, located in Coco on A1A, soryy I don't remember their address, not that far from the Port.

I have made the suggestion to DCL several times that they should have a shipping desk set up in the terminal when you debark from the ship that would allow folks to ship stuff home. I know I limit what I buy onboard because I also do not want to lug it home in suitcases.

3 weeks ago I purchased a big boxed item onboard and had to carry it off the ship. We had a rental car so I stopped at the Post Office (right next to McDonalds) in Cocoa Beach and shipped it from there. I had to purchase a box, bubble wrap and packing tape but it was better than carrying it home.

I called DCL merchandising before we cruised and asked them if we could direct ship from the Magic, just as you do at the Disney Parks. I was told yes by the CM on the phone...............NOT TRUE. We tried from the ship and they do not do that when shopping on board. If you call and are given the wrong information take this as your warning.

Good luck........we took an extra suitcase full of libations and bottled water this time and had planned on using it for packing our goods on the way home............the zipper broke and we carried a lot on the plane!

Have fun,

We bought a very breakable figurine while on our cruise, and we also were told that they DO NOT ship anything from the ship's stores. So.....I packed my carry-on with everything that was breakable or wrinkle-able (all the photos from Shutters), and hand-carried them for the entire trip home, including on the plane. Fortunately I got everything home in perfect condition, but it wasn't fun worrying about it during the trip home.

It'd be great if there was some kind of shipping service either from the ship, or like mmouse said, right at the DCL terminal. I bet a lot of people would take advantage of that!
