Shipping Souvenirs Home

I was wondering how you go about shipping all your souvenirs home from a disney hotel. We are going to flying home on a smaller plane this year and won't be able to carry all of our stuff back on the plane. If anyone has done this, please let me know how I would go about it.

Deluxe resorts with convention centers have a shipping area. They can do UPS and FedEx. Contemporary, Beach Club and Dolphin can all ship items.
I am not sure about Conronado Springs resort.

If you buy items at the World of Disney - they will ship any item you buy there (not sure about food) to your home.

We have only sent items home from the World of Disney. My DH has used FedEx (he has his own FedEx # & envelopes) at the deluxes. My DH brings work with him to WDW
But I am sure the Contemporary, Beach Club and Dolphin could also provide shipping boxes for UPS or FedEx.

When you purchase your item(s), tell them you want them shipped to you. You will fill out a short shipping form and pay for your item, no sales tax, plus shipping cost. The store will have it shipped according to your directions. We shipped a large train home for only about an extra $5. Took about 2 weeks as we choose ordinary UPS shipping and not express.

I shipped a box from the AKL gift shop last year. I told the CM I wanted to ship my purchases home. Since they were going out of state, I wasn't charged sales tax;therefore, the shipping charges were a wash. I received my package about a week after I returned home.

we just shipped some stuff from Zawadi at AKL. my son wanted the tree of life, but it's huge! the CM said they can ship anything we bought from disney for $10 if it's under $100 total - even if purchased prior. so i ran up to my room and got our wind chimes and gave them to her along with the tree and had them shipped- she said it would take a week to ten days. a great deal i think, but i wasn't told of the tax savings!!

We shipped home nearly everything that we bought while in the World. A few cautions: You must have your sales receipt. They will only ship what they can replace(it has to be Disney) such as they would not ship pictures. They would also not ship food(even Lolly-Pops). It cost $30.00 for us to ship it. Yes, we had A LOT of souvies!!!


Just like Christmas when we got it to open it. Got to re-live the vacation all over again

Oops, forgot to tell you we shipped it from AKL. Also it takes them a while because they have to write every item down, the UPC and the cost. OK, it took a while for us becuase, did I mention we bought A LOT

I shipped stuff home from the Contempary. Bought a Christmas gift for my son. The girl told me it would cost me $20.00 to ship for anything up to $1,000.00. So I shipped most of my souvenirs that whole trip. I was told you would have to ship your whole order for them to ship it. But at Pop a parent went through her bags ( from Downtown diz) and took the stuff she wanted then and had the rest shipped home. The CM at the register was not happy about that though.

I'm so glad I read this thread!!! When we go back to WDW {2006} I would like to get somethings for the kids for b-day presents and Christmas. But was trying to figure out how we were going to get it back home without them seeing since we drive.

Question....Can you also do this {shipping to your home} if you charge on your room key? Next time I want to take advantage of this service instead of standing in line and having to get into my wallet for cash.

Yes, you can ship home using your room key.

Thanks for all the information. I was also wondering if you can ship home from the Pop and if they would let you take all you souveniers to them at the end of your trip and ship them at one time.
