I'm debating if it's best to have We Go Shop deliver stuff to our room (Poly) or ship a box from home and have Costco deliver the water. I have no clue how much the box would weigh so I guessed 10lbs and plugged the zip code info into USPS website. Around $12 or so.

So I'm wondering what other's have paid to ship boxes of snacks to Disney. Problem is that we'll have some heavier items such as juice boxes. Other stuff would just be snacky things like granola bars, fruit chews, cereal...snacky things. We also like to eat fruit. But then I was thinking I cuold just take fruit with us in our carryon (some bananas, apples, grapes perhaps????)

So what does an average box with snackies for a week cost to send to Disney, in your experience? THANKS!

Is there a special water you need shipped? We pack empties in the luggage and fill them up at resorts, restaurants, and fountains around WDW. No weight and no worry:thumbsup2 We split our snacky items amongst all the luggage and incur no additional charges. Try powdered juice packets in your water, rather than juice boxes. If you do want to ship, purchase the lot, take it to your shipping store and have them give you the ranges for each delivery option. No matter the cost, you are still saving from purchasing all at the resorts or parks.

Hey now THAT's a great idea!! Never occured to me (DUH!!) to take empty bottles down. I assume that the soda machines at the resorts would have filtered water, right? How about water within the parks - is that normally filtered? (Not picky about brand at all but I'm NOT a fan of tap water....)

I'll have to try the powdered packets in the water and see how they go. I don't like the idea of the Crystal Light stuff b/c of the fake sweetner in there. But I'll have to check out what options there are that don't have artificial sweetners!

Thanks for the great tips!

Just a warning about Crystal Light flavor packs....my daughter had a really bad reaction to them - stomach aches, gas, diarrhea....from the artificial sweetener. My son had the same reaction - both are lactose intolerant. I guess they go hand-in-hand (lactose, sucrose...anything ending in 'ose'). My other daughter had no problem with them, and she can tolerate milk just fine.

I'll be looking for ones with real sugar, and just keep them to a minimum!

I was wondering which ones didnt have artificial sweetener in them???

Last year we just carried a zip lock bag with the powdered mix in it in my backpack - we just asked for cups of icewater at any place in the park and it was easy to just put some mix in, stir it up and wallah!!

Do you have little kids that are checking a bag? Maybe you could wrap up some juice boxes in zip top bags and tuck them in there? Which airline are you flyling?

I ordered drinks and snacks through Office Depot. They do free shipping on pretty small orders or charge a flat rate of something like $5. It was great to get cases of water for around $6 delivered! They also have tons of snacks on their website.
