I would like to ship a package ahead of time to CBR. My question is Do they charge handling at the resort?

Last time I shipped a package at CSR, and was charged over $20.00. I had called and they said no charge, but SUPRISE!:(

Also do they bring the package to your room, or do you pick it up. Last time we checked in late, and had to wait till the next morning. We recieved a phone call in our room the next AM, and they asked us if we would be there to accept it for the next few minutes. They brought it right over. I don't know if that is why we were charged? I did tip the guy. It was a pretty heavy box. I inquired when I checked out, and was told that was policy, and that I was told wrong. I didn't have the name of the person I spoke with. I don't know if that would have helped or not.

Anyway I just don't want to be shocked again. Paying the $22.00 blew any savings of packing the thing in the first place.

Thanks.

CSR is a union hotel. We were just there for business. You shouldn't have a problem at CBR with this. I do think you have to pick up the package at the Customs House though.

I had 2 work shirts shipped to CSR. It cost me $5.30 to pick them up at the business center.

for such a quick reply. I thought you would be able to answer that for me. I also saw your post on the resort board, about all resorts possibly starting to charge. I agree with you. but hopefully after October.:)

Thanks again:D :D

I think charging to receive packages is probably further down the road than the preferred bldg. charges but I think it will happen.

More and more people are trying all types of ways to not have to carry this stuff with them. I can imagine that the resorts run out of room sometimes with this. Most hotels have a decent size area to hold onto suitcases but I don't know about all these boxes people ship. That also must take some time to organize all of them.

If anyone can think of a way to charge you a few dollars more it is Disney at the same time they are showing you some of the wonderful Disney magic.

My DD got sick on our trip to the Poly last month. I had a doctor come to the room and check her out. He prescribed some meds and had them delivered to the resort. The Polynesian charged me $5 delivery charge just for the meds to be dropped off at the front desk. Of course I didn't mind as it saved me a trip from running to a pharmacy but I still thought it strange.
