Shipping from WDW, is it like from DL?

Up until January I'd never shipped from inside the parks. I always figured it was crazy expensive.

In Jan I bought a lifesize Yoda from DL Launch Bay after they told me shipping was a flat $39.99 up to $99,999.99 AND no taxes since it was being shipped out of state. I got that Yoda for $3,400 after 20% discount plus the $39.99 shipping . Booyah!

Anyway I'm flying into Orlando at the end of the month for a conference (we usually drive but since it's just me, I'm flying) so I want to know if shipping is the same deal, I'll have a couple hours in the parks on two different days.

Before leaving DL I took a bunch of our souvenirs, combined the receipts and mailed it out form inside the park for about $20. No muss, no fuss, it was great. In fact, they refunded my taxes on the purchases and that meant it actually cost me about 25 cents to mail out it out.

Does WDW handle things the same way?

When i had things shipped i had to do it at time of purchase and it was based off the price i beleive. I've only ever had large/breakable items shipped though like jim shore items and i dont remember it being expensive.

Shipping rates (at DL anyway) changed around the first of the year. It went to a more "flat rate" type of thing based on price, which apparently most people like, especially for bulky or heavy things. I thought the shipping charges at DL were good.

If it's the same at WDW, I'll be happy.

my last trip i shipped was last halloween party i attended on 10/2 and i think they told me it was still bracketed by price. Hopefully someone whos been there recently can chip in and let ya know their expereince with it.

Edit : had months wrong for when i last shipped an item, it was before the first of the year.

No worries, I'm sure someone around has been there recently. If not I'll be answering my own question in about 2 weeks. I'm basically wondering if I should be flying down with a second suitcase "just in case". I'm going S.W. and the second bag flies free anyway.

The good ol' souvenir luggage bag, I have a duffle bag i keep in my suitcase for that reason in case we buy too many souveniers.

That's one of the links I came across in my searches. Unfortunately it's from 2013, so while most info is generally accurate, pricing/tiered is out of date :/
