We are having a family reunion. Most of us are staying at SSR and would like to decorate the room with some homemade items which need to be shipped (too much/heavy for flight). Will bell services hold the box until our arrival? How many days will they hold it? Been DVC since 1998 but have never tried to put together such a complicated trip! Thanks for any help.

Shipping is so crazy and undependable, mail it about 10days before ci.
Resort has room to hold it

I don't now how heavy the box will be. I don't know how far your room might be from the front desk. I don't know what kind of help you get at SSR for getting packages from the front desk to your room. Unless you know that you will be able to carry the box for a long distance, I think you might want a little bit more information from people who are familiar with SSR. Obviously I'm not LOL.

Also, are you planning to ship these items back home? If yes, do you have a plan for that?

Mainly just wondering if bell services will hold the box if it arrives a couple of days early. It shouldn’t be too heavy (I can lift it and I’m no Incredible Hulk). I just want them to accept it and not return to sender.

Yes, Bell Services will hold your package, and when you get into your room on arrival you can call them and they’ll bring it to you. If they bring just your package, they’ll probably charge you $6, but if you arrive before your room is ready and drop off your luggage with them, then later call from your room for both luggage plus package, they won’t charge $6. Tips are expected in either case, of course.

Address your package to [Lead Guest’s Name], Guest at the address for SSR that’s in MDE. If you have more questions about this, ask in the Disney Resorts board https://www.disboards.com/forums/disney-resorts.12/ - lots of experience there!
