I have read that you can have packages sent home. After our WDW stay we are going on the cruise (!) and we don't want to drag bulky items along. How much does it cost to do this (on average) and where/how do you ask for the service?
We are thinking that the Mr. Potato Heads will be a great gift to bring home for some special little friends, so we probably will be getting 3-4 of them, in addition to the usual t-shirts and magnets!

Thanks!:D

We just did this on our trip last week. The prices vary and I am not sure how they calculated it, but it seemed on average to be 2-4 dollars more than the tax would have been and it was great to not carry stuff around. We are addicted to this now.

They only wont ship any food or edible items including candy, mints, lollipops, etc....

Just tell them when you check out that you want to have the stuff shipped home and they will have you fill out the paper slip- like the slip you fill out for package pickup and then you pay, take your receipt and off you go!! Nothing special to say and all the cast members seemed more than familiar with this procedure....only once did one of them try to charge me too much for shipping, but they soon found their error and all was good again.

Now, I am just waiting for all my loot to arrive.....

Have a great trip.

I always ship home stuff. This way, we don't have to max out our suitcases! I just go to World of Disney, do my shopping, and let them know at the register that I want to ship. There are options about how fast you want it to get there. I think that the standard is something like 20 business days. Last year I was there in December and wanted the stuff ASAP. I forgot how much it was, but I can remember it wasn't that bad.

It's great for shipping larger things. I added to my monorial set. I had all of that stuff shipped home over the years. I've never had a problem.

Plus, I don't think they charge you tax on the items you ship out of state. I could be wrong on that, tho.

If you buy everything in one place, it's worth the shipping charges. If you buy items in different places, it could really add up. One thing to consider if you have a car is to go to a shipping store. I was at WDW in February with some TDS CM friends and they bought some big stuff at property control (cm store). They took it to a mailbox etc next to the Publix at Premium Outlets. They provided the packing materials (some of it was fraigle) and shipped it all in one box.

We stayed at AK last year. Close to the end of our stay we realized we didn't have enough room to get our "goodies" home. DH went to front desk and asked for nearest shipping place, instead they gave us a box, tape. They said they have UPS come daily for them and that we could ship our stuff that way (for there regular fee - nothing extra was added on). It was so nice and our box came within a few days of us getting home.

I think we will plan on using this service!!! We always try to bring a spare bag for overflow, but this sounds so much more convenient!!!!
