Shipping bottles of wine/alcohol purchased at WDW home

Does any of the stores that sell bottles of alcohol capable of packaging and sending the bottles for me?

Each state has different rules about shipping in alcohol. Wineries with shipping programs and the big online wine merchants have figured out the legalities. The states of the United States have a maze of convoluted wine distribution laws.

During the Food & Wine Festival, the wine store in the Festival Center was unable to ship wine (except back to a guest's WDW resort hotel).

If you find a wine you like at WDW, it may be possible to order it from the winery or from an online wine merchant, but only if your state allows wine to be shipped from out-of-state to residential addresses.

You can ask, but don't be surprised to be told no. And you cannot ship it yourself, either, because if any of the shipping companies find out its wine, you'll be in trouble.

Best to plan to check it on the plane. I highly recommend "wine diapers", though I doubled up by also putting my wine and beer into a Wine Check container as well.

USPS will not take wine so far as I know

FEDEX CAN and WILL ship wine, but special conditions apply

how do I know? I belong to a wine club and get quarterly shipments of wine. FEDEX can only deliver IN PERSON, sig required and the sig must be from someone 21 or older. I live n FL ... rules may differ by state. But wine CAN be shipped . . . will Disney go the extra mile to make it happen? I don't think so . . .

Only properly licensed businesses may ship wine via FedEx, and then only if they follow all applicable laws and regulations.

Exactly.

That wine club is lucky to be able to ship into FL. An Oregon winery that my aunt absolutely loves cannot ship to FL. Which is how I got to buy the WineCheck to bring wine to my aunt. :)

A normal consumer cannot use any of those methods to ship. Well, they can, but they would be lying about what's in their package, and if found out it wouldn't be fun.

It depends on if the state that is shipping the wine has a permit to ship to the state its being sent to.

Why not buy a hardside luggage and check that luggage. I do this all the time when I visit TN and fly SWA home to Ohio. I just pack a lot of bubble wrap and shipping tape to secure the bubble wrap to the bottle. My last visit I brought home 8 bottles of wine and it was fine. The time before that I managed 10 bottles.
