Shhhh, don't tell the family, but I'm planning a birthday get-away for ME!

I'm hooked. I'm landed. I'm flopping around like a codfish. Yes, I want to go back to DLR by myself to celebrate my 50th!

Well, not so much by MYSELF, as I'd like to go with some other girl friends who can go with me. I'm a social type of person and need to go with at least one other person to really enjoy myself.

To that end, I've been hunting around the best deals, etc. And as I'm planning on going back again with the family in 2017 (DH doesn't know that either, heh), if I get my AP in October, we'd save tons when we go back again in June of 2017.

So there I am, poking around Alaska Vacations, Westjet Vacations, Orbitz, when I remember I have 2700AM and I'm an onyx collector!! I mosey on over to AM and guess what?! I can fly for FREE on Delta!!

And if I can't save the 4550 AM needed for a hotel room that is up on Orangethorpe, 15 minutes away by car (not gonna happen), then I can get a hotel room for under $500 for the dates I'm looking at MUCH closer!

I think I'm going again if I can swing the money in time.

Good for you! I just got back on Wednesday from my girl's only birthday trip! I really enjoy family trips, but there is something so wonderful about being able to ignore all the "mom... mom... mom..." being said in the parks!

Oh yeah! And getting to ride the rides I want WHEN I want... heaven...

Because I want to get an AP in order to save money on our 2017 trip, it'll cost me $2500CAD (dang exchange rate!) all in, and my friends would only pay $1900 all in. I have 11 months to save up!
