Hi fellow DIS CON members :D I have been surfing the other boards and there's a pretty hot topic over at the Park Stratagies board. Here is the link.

http://www.disboards.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87825&perpage=15&pagenumber=2

It asks the question, If you could be anything and have any job @ WDW, what would it be? You guys are so creative, I thought we might join along with that thread, or start one of our own. Only rules are that the sky's the limit. (Or should I say, the World's the limit?! :))

Before the convention (which is on topic), I'll be looking into employment opportunities at WDW. I'm trained in a lot of areas (most computer and administrative work), but it really doesn't matter to me what I do. I just wanna work at Disney! I may draw the line at the clean-up crew, however. I look horrible in white.

Hmmmmmmmm...
What about a PR position???? What about 'communications representative' in Latin America, with a job description that includes plenty of trips to WDW and all the resorts:D

I would love to be responsible for some of the backstage tours too, getting in touch daily with other Disney nuts...

But I would still be overjoyed if I had the chance of doing some storytelling in a south-american themed new resort... Well, but I refuse to wear turbans, plataform sandals and Carmen Miranda's clothes!

Steve, good luck with your job hunting!!! But aren't you a musician too??? I believe they will easily fit in a computer literate, high accomplished musician with administrative skills!

Thanks for the well-wishes, Livia. We'll just have to see what's open when I get down there in October. I'm having a professional re-do my resume for me even as we speak.

Great thread idea.....I've answered this a couple of times on the CB! :)

I want to live in an apartment above Main Street USA and I want to be the person who escorts Mickey Mouse to the front gates each morning. :sunny: I just want to stand there for the first hour or so and say "Good Morning Everybody And Welcome To The Happiest Place On Earth!" :) :) :)

Tia, I like your way of thinking!!

Good luck to your Employment venture Disneycub!!

Since I started this thread, I guess it would only be nice to tell you what I would like to do:)

I would love to be part of the Parade, or live show, but since you have to have some kind of talent in those areas I guess I would'nt have a chance there. I use to be a telephone operator, I would like to maybe one of the operatorsthat answer the in park phones when you have questions and so on. I also worked in Customer Service before becoming a foster parent and I like that. (Even the grumpy customers )

Then I would enjoy reading stories too. In case you didn't know, I LOVE kids. Plain crazy I know :)

Gerri

So What would your dream job be?

I think I would love to work with the large cats at Animal Kingdom.

of course I would probably just end up cleaning up after the elephants:D :D

I didn't realize we were answering this here. I thought we were following the link to the CB. That's what I get for not paying attention. I would like to work behind the scenes. I would such a kick out of cleaning the rides, after hours. You know, going into Peter Pan or Pirates and cleaning up the animatronics. Can you imagine the thrill of standing right there where the "characters" are? Of course, I have no clue that anyone really does that. So, I'll make up a new position. Why not, we're just making believe anyhow. :D :D
Much luck with your job search, Steve! :) :)
