I found out from reliable sources that Jet Blue is coming to ISP which is Macarthur Airport here on LI...Don't know when but they are coming...PLUTO DO YOU HEAR ME...:earsgirl:

Oh wow I hope this is true!!! I've emailed them many times about coming to Islip. This would be so great especially after Delta's loss. And I can never get a good fare/time on Southwest. Where did you here this? And I wonder if it will still apply after the hit the industry will take?

This will be wonderful if it happens! I thought my days of isp convenience were over when Delta stopped its direct flights to MCO.

Oh, that would be very very good news. Our flight in Feb. goes thru Atlanta since Delta stopped its non-stop service and I really don't want to go to Atlanta. My brother flew to MCO last year on Jet Blue and raved about the service!

Marianne - are youi playing with me? Just as I started racking up rapird rewards! After my Nov. trip, I'll have a free flight for, say, January???

That would be great though. I don't have a problem with SW but I would like a little more variation in the non-stop schedule besides 1 per day!

Keep me posted

I would give my my Delta skymiles for Jet Blue if they came to ISP. I hate Delta and I feel like I'm tied to them because of the miles. I sure hope that's true. I wonder when.

I'd also love to see an additional airline in ISP. Islip is not one of the original 44 cities that JetBlue had approved for service (over the first 3 or so years). I'm not sure how long it'll take to add Islip.
I found it easier to fly to Tampa out of ISP (schedule or available fares) than to fly out of JFK or LGA to Orlando.

That would be awesome!!! I have heard so many good things about Jet Blue!! I hope it's true!

flying to tampa isn't much different than driving to lga or jfk. An extra hours ride in my eyes.

That would be great. I love Jetblue, but I hate driving to JFK and paying for parking, when I'm so close to ISP plus parking is free.

Pluto--you've must have better luck than me. It's taken me over 45 minutes to get from the LT parking to the terminal (just missed a shuttle bus plus all the stops). Although I agree an hour to JFK is doable (from the approximate location of ISP) between the traffic for a morning flight and construction I figure I have to allow at least 2 1/2 hours (including the time to get back from LT parking).

I just usually suck it up and park near the terminal. It's still less than taking in a limo. Don't get me wrong, last time I did it was 1½ years ago to go to Vegas. I'd rather pay a little extra and stay here.

Wow, I hope this is true!! We love flying out of Islip and were so disappointed when Delta changed it's flight schedule.

I just found out from my TA that it is true. They should be here soon, maybe even within a few months. We'll see...

well unless you want lay overs out of ISP anyway . SWA is now only booking thu 4/05/02.

Jetblue out of ISP would be great. With Southwest's only direct flight at 6:45am, it would be nice to have another choice. We're using Southwest in Nov. ISP never has any delays in or outbound.
