I have a great time when I visit this place. Little family owned amusement park with lots of rides.

Most rides cost about $1.00. The food is great. We had pizza that was a lot better than any we can get where I live. You can actually win prizes at most of the games. And you can even bring your dogs! And it has a small water park, too.

We went for 2 days... 2 adults and 4 kids. One day was the whole day and one night for 4 hours... We did everything, had a great time..... about $100 total!

And the longest line we waited in was LESS than 10 minutes, usually less than 5.

EDIT. This post was TOO FUNNY. I had to try and post it 4x before it would actually post... Like DISNEY was actually blocking it! :teeth:

Okay, I've liked most everything you've ever posted but today, I call it quits. YOU BLASPHEMER YOU!!!!!!! off with his head :rotfl:

I like Hershey Park more than Disney, so please don't tell anyone that either. :teeth:

We have two small amusement parks very close to our home:

For a few hundred dollars a year (we have 4 in our family), we can go everyday of the summer if we want. One park sells cotton candy for $1.50 a bag. Both have water parks, miniature golf (big courses) and go-carts. We have a blast at both of them and it's nice not having to stay the entire day. You can pop in for a few hours, burn some energy off and head home for a nap. :rotfl:

I don't consider Disney to really be an amusement park though. Everything at Disney seems more like an attraction than a ride. Two completely different concepts.

I am with ya on that. I don't consider it a really amusement park either. I'm just saying that I have more fun at Knoebel's than Disney... no long lines, great food, pretty good rides, and an awesome time for not a lot of money.

I think as kids get older, they're looking for the more "Thrill" type rides. As I get older, I am looking for less thrill seeking. LOL Nahh, I'm not that old yet! That Wildcat at Hershey isn't really my thing though. It's a major headache afterward for me. It's the only coaster that I just can't take though.

Would you like to borrow my wooden spoon? :rotfl2:

No sweet tea for you!! :p

I respectfully disagree, I was just at Knoebel's 2 weeks ago with my family and I was soooooooooooo bored. I don't ride rides and they don't have shows like Disney does. Hershey well thats ok, but my husband didn't care for it.

I have been to Knoebels with my family for a few short weekends and we enjoyed it....but it defintiely isn't Disney! But like someone else said, I don't really consider disney an amusement park, more of an attraction park. Knoebels is good for the rides, especially with the little ones! But more than 2 days at Knoebels would be too much.

I loved Knoebel's when I was a kid. My grandparents lived in PA, and we went there all the time. :) Can still remember things from there. Hmmmmmmmm...should take DS at some point. :teeth:

Once a year by the church here they have a carnival. I spend about $20. The lines are about 2 minutes. I can slide down a big hill on a sack of some kind. Sometimes the saying you get what you pay for is true.

I like a certain place better than Disney too but I won't mention what it is. ;)

You guys are VERY brave.

Another vote for Knoebel's though maynot more than Disney but they are in different leagues for me. Knoebel's also has a great campground and is just an all around good old fashioned family park.

If I had a choice it would always be Disney. Hersheys problem is the park is all hills and almost no shade. Spent a day there when it was almost 100 degrees and the next day I could not walk. Perfers the flatness of Disney. And before anyone says you must be out of shape your wrong for I am a fitness tech. And don't get me wrong Hershey is my choice out of the few parks around here that are within a few hours drive!

I love Hershey Park!!! Can't say that i love it more than WDW.....but I do love it. Sure beats Six Flags any day IMHO! My favorite coaster in the whole world is The Comet! I love those old wooden coasters.

I've never been to Knoebel's but have thought about going. Do they have any rollercoasters?
