Yeah....my little one turns 6 next month!!!!! :scared1:

I'll be the mom of an 8 and 6 year old.....how??!??!? Why?!?!? :faint:

How do you think I feel.....mom of 19, 9 and 7 year olds!!!! I FEEL OLD!!! And I have no idea where the time has gone ;)

I know...it really is quite shocking when I think of myself as a mother sometimes! Still! DD8 helped me make thanksgiving dinner today....we had to eat it early so my twin brother and my niece could be here too. But she did a great job helping...getting so big. They all are. :faint:

Side note...DH put together an amazing little video to the song "Good Life" of our trip, and I was showing all my family. My parents loved it, but I felt really badly showing it to my siblings, who have never taken their kids or even been themselves. We weren't trying to show off but it is just hard, I don't know.

I really wish I could share it with you ladies though! You all would get it...I am sure!::yes::

So glad you got to have an early Thanksgiving with your brother! When is your actual Thanksgiving this year? I know it usually falls well before ours. I would love to see the video DH made, we need to figure out how to make that happen. You can't feel too bad about sharing your life experiences, I understand why, but you have worked hard and deserve those memories.

New dilemma for the day....

I am contemplating booking the Terrace Fireworks dessert party for December. The problem is we could only do it the first night we are there and we will have been up since between 4-5am! Fireworks are at 10pm that night and I just think it will be disastrous if I try to keep them up. But I really love seeing the castle lit up and think it would be fun. Tell me to wait until another trip and that it is not worth paying all that money just to sit with tired cranky kids ;)

19, 9 and 7 - that's quite the age difference!!!! That's like my sister who currently has a 10 year old and a 4 month old!!! :scared1:
DH has said he'd like another but I already feel like the age gap between our girls and the "would be" new baby is too big, but maybe not :scratchin

About the dessert party...have you done it before??? I was thinking about booking it but can't really gauge whether its worth it or not....

I would say wait until your next trip, I never plan anything on my travel day...you just never know what's going to happen. :goodvibes

I thought we would take a break from family trips next year too but I am not sure we will there is so much new stuff that will be open!

We loved the walk to EPCOT but I think I would have preferred park hoppers!
I am missing Test Track by weeks....reason to go back of course :rotfl:

So we went from no split stays (DH not a fan), to maybe a split stay, to a definite maybe split stay...I knew we could shake him down :). We are now thinking moderate 3 nts. (still between CSR & POR RGR) & 6 nts. deluxe (between WL & AKL). Everyone liked the new rooms @ WL too but then my oldest DD had to mention AKL so now we are going back & forth again...the saga continues!
:rotfl: That's what it's all about :rotfl:

So DH and I have pushed our trip back again to May! I think I need a Date changers thread too!:rotfl2: So this is what it is looking like for is for 2013

May 16-19 SWW Pop Century (ADULTS ONLY!!!)

Oh yeah made some changes to the cruise too....:rolleyes2

Nov 16 - 21 POR
Nov 21 - 24 3 night dream cruise

Ah, it just feels better now. Yes that's it...better....:sail:

Did I mention I am obsessed!!!???!?!??:crazy2:

Soon I can change my siggie....little DD 3 will be turning 4 on Halloween!!! My baby...how could this happen???:)
Yay for May :thumbsup2

My baby just turned 4 too......:confused3.....

Ya, my oldest will be 21 :crazy2:

The sugar will keep them up :p Book it, I'll give ya a full report next month :goodvibes

Another baby :flower3: the age gap is fine...the girls are in school, and would be quite the helpers...IMHO

It's rough going back to baby mode...but it all comes back to ya

Hi.:wave2: I just wanted to give you some feedback on our trip. We got back Tuesday, but I had to go right back to work. I ended up making a last minute change in the car on the way from mco to WDW.:drive: I changed our one night at AKL to to 2 nights at CSR. We left a day earlier than we planned. Anyway CSR was great. My kids loved the pool. The rooms were nice similar to what you get at Wl or Akl. The gym great. The breakfast buffet very good. I loved the resort, but I don't think I could spend more than 2 nights at a mod. I'm spoiled.

WL Cl- To start with I requested a courtyard view, and I didn't get it. We got a view of the service road room 7042. To be honest I hated the room, and should have asked to be moved, but I didn't. The rooms at wl are so dark. This room really got no light. I have 20/15 vision so I know its not my eyesight, but it was very hard to see in this room.

The club level was great. Not as great as the Poly, but very close. The cm's were super friendly, and the food was very good. The only complaint I had was that it closed down too early. The Poly Cl stays open 24 hours.

The pool area was fun. Hot tub was great. You always meet the funnest(is that a word) people in the hot tubs.:smokin: Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Wl. I would have would have given it a better review if I would have gotten a good room, but such is life. I wouldn't hestiate to book this resort again for a few nights, but again this is not a resort I would want to stay at for a extended stay. There are not enough places to eat, and the the boat ride to CR is such a time suck. The HDDR was great as always. If you haven't seen this show I woud highly recommend it. I thought the MNSSHP was a complete waste of money. I know a lot of people like it, but it just wasn't my thing.

THE CRUISE- There are not enough positive adjectives to describe how fantastic a Disney cruise is. If given a choice between WDW or DCL I would choose the cruise a hundred times over. This was absolutely the best 4 night vacation ever. We had perfect weather, perfect room and exceptional service. I can't say enough good things about DCL. We had a great day at castaway. I ran the 5k. We rented bikes, swam in the warm water, and ate tons of good BBQ.:beach: We dressed up as pirates on pirate night and had a blast.pirate:

BC CL- The first time we stayed at BC was after a cruise, and I thought the resort looked really dirty and worn down. The second time we stayed there I thought it was fine. The third time after a DCL cruise I thought it looked worn and dirty. The DREAM is so spotless it makes the wdw resorts look like motel 6's. I had booked a SV Cl room and that was exactly what I got a view of the parking lot. No pixie dust on this trip.pixiedust: Our last 2 trips we were upgraded to LV at each resort.

The Club level food was really good, but the lounge is way too small. The resort was packed last weekend for the tower of terror 10 mile run, and the first weekend of food and wine. It's was the most crowded I have seen the Epcot area. We had a great time at the F&W. We saw Nightranger and Sugar Ray. Both were great. I used to see Sugar Ray play in local bars in Newport Beach in the mid 90's before he had his hit album in 99 so it was like going back in a time machine. The pool and location of BC makes up for it's shortcomings, but I definetely prefer the quieter YC.

The two things I learned this trip is I definetely prefer the Epcot area. I don't know if I'll ever spend more than a couple of nights at an MK resort, and if I have to choose between LV and CL I might go with a LV.:scratchin I really missed having a good view this trip. I did upgrade our tickets to Ap's on this trip, not completely sure when we will be going back yet. I think May. I booked another cruise while on board to get the discount, but not sure when will do that either 2014 probably.:faint: I am getting a little burned out on WDW.:crazy2: I want to do more cruising, and I also want to go to Aulani.:cheer2: I noticed they are offfering 40% off to passholders at Aulani until Dec 17. If they continue this offer in January I may have to jump on it.:hyper: I would have to push my May trip back to September, but thats ok.

I forgot the best thing about the cruise. The oceaneer's lab. I barely saw my kids for 4 days. I couldn't drag them out of there. Lots of downtime for mommy and daddy. Loved it.

Thanks for your great review!! I am hoping we love the Dream too!!:thumbsup2

That is sooooo funny! I can't believe you got OUR. EXACT. ROOM. Which we loved!!! What about seeing the castle???? I loved our view... yes, the smokehouse was down below, but we didn't look down...we looked straight out to the castle. Just goes to show how two people can see the exact same thing so differently. :lmao:

Glad you had a great trip - welcome back!!!! :goodvibes

I had to go back to my pics to be sure we were talking about the same room...

yup...:lmao:

Yes that was our room. I could care less about the castle. I wanted a view of the lake and pool.:furious: I couldn't help but look down and see the ugly service road. The room was very clean. Housekeeping was great. We had a great time there. I just really wanted the lake view. I cant afford a LV Cl at Poly so I was really hoping to get one at Wl. My pity party only lasted a few hours before I got over it, and got on with enjoying my stay. My kids loved the Bunk beds. So far the MK resorts win for Cl. I do want to try BW and Akl one day.

Padawans: What kind of stateroom did you have on the dream? We are in 7632. Any tips for us?? :goodvibes

We (currently) have a YC CL (SV) room booked for April....I know we are going to get a parking lot view but do you know if there are any that face towards IllumiNations fireworks??? :confused3

Padawans: What kind of stateroom did you have on the dream? We are in 7632. Any tips for us?? :goodvibes

We were in 7024. It was forward on the opposite side of your stateroom. I loved the location. It was close to forward elevators and laundry room. My biggest tip would be do the 4 night and not the 3. 3 is just way to short. I know you want more days at WDW, but trust me the cruise is better, and it's something you have never done.

We did not spend any time at the pools. Way to small and crowded and the kids preferred the oceaneers club. They also liked deck 13 with the minature golf and the basketball courts. We did spend time at the adult pool while the kids were in the lab. That was nice. The running track is on the deck 4. That is also a great deck to relax on. They have some padded lounge chairs to curl up on, and it's very quiet.

Cabanas is the best place for breakfast and lunch. The lunch buffet is amazing.

The best time to ride the aquaduck is between 6-8 when the early diners are eating or the late diners are at the shows. No line at all. We rode it like 20 times in a row. I can't comment on the shows we didn't go to any. We saw two of them last time and they were good. I prefer to watch the sunset over the ocean with a cocktail in hand over a loud show.

Eat at Palos. Wonderful food. The outdoor bar at Palos is open to anyone. No dress code. It's an amazing place to relax at night.

Expect to feel the boat move between Florida and the Bahamas. If you get motion sickness I recommend packing some dramamine. Once you get to the Bahamas it's smooth sailing. I have cruised to the Bahamas 4 times and this is how it has been everytime. Expect the same coming back to Florida.

If you go to the Beach at Atlantis. Be careful of the strong undertows. The cab ride is $4 per person. Take cash.

Castaway is the best part of the cruise. Enjoy it. There is lots to do there. The next time we go we are definetely renting the Jet skis.

I kind of wish I didn't buy those non-expire tickets. I really had no choice, but to upgrade them to Ap's. I would love to skip WDW next year, and go on a couple of cruises instead. I booked the Sept 7 Fantasy for next year, but not sure I'll be able to pull it off or not.

Any other questins feel free to ask.

No idea. I booked a GV in May, and got upgraded to a Lv. I would keep checking for a GV view. I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with the GV CL or book a non CL LV. That view was really nice. It's tough when you get upgraded and have to go back to a SV.

Yeah. I would prefer GV, but there were none available. Only SV and LV for the CL rooms....

I may upgrade to LV Cl and do a split with CSR to offset the cost. Disney knows what they're doing when they upgrade people. It's very hard to go back to looking at a parking lot after you have been in a LV. I found that out after this trip.

Well, in that case I hope I'm never upgraded....just like I wish we hadn't tried CL. It's hard for me book without it now, we really enjoyed it. :upsidedow
