I swear that some people are only on these boards to make people feel stupid and inferior. :sad2:

Some people need a different hobby. ::yes::

Awww. Sorry to hear that. What happened?

Oh, nothing to me!! But the way I see people talk down to others like they are the supreme being of all things Disney is crazy!

There was a guy trying to convince people that in no way would you ever be getting a deal with free dining, and basically stating that if you think so, you're pretty dumb. Some people then began asking why it wasnt a deal, so I went I went in there with some math to show how it can be a great deal. :thumbsup2

I just feel bad that people let others get to them.

Oh Geez! :rolleyes2 Mousemommy to the rescue!

Sure, free dining doesn't work for everyone. But to say it's never a good deal is just ridiculous! Some people just loooove to :stir:

Oh, how quickly we forget, dear Jeannette ;)....me thinks I recall a certain Queen being a member of the future (and current) Grannie's Girls Only Trip next December...

Linda, I've been in December so many times (5 or 6) yet because I've been with an event (Mousefest), still have not had time to see even one of the WS Santas! So looking forward to December 2013!!
icotsantabounce.gif

Oh yes we will be doing this for sure! And the grannies do need their own private nurse for sure .... especially with all that dancing going on!

You go girl!!! And your RC family has your back!!! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! I just got back from a quick one night trip for work! I need to get some vacation things done! 11 Days!!! Jenny inspired me so we are making some shirts! We haven't heard from her, did MNSSHP happen in the rain?

Melissa loved the pic of your family. How did you guys like Captains Grill? That is one of our maybes. What did you order and would you get it again? What room view did you have - its gorgeous!

Pas - glad the ankle is getting better!

Sarah and Miss - hope you are having a blast!

Dani - way to go on the weightloss!

MM - please burn the receipts! Ack! That confirms that I don't want to know because you can never "unknow". But in all seriousness, we spent our money on stuff for years. I would have NEVER dropped $5000 on a vacation. I preferred to buy stuff. And then, we did our first major vacation just the 5 of us. We picked Disney. We stayed at a mod and had FD (boo to the guy who says the numbers don't work! I disagree!). Now, I am sorry that we didn't start these vacations sooner. I wouldn't trade them for more stuff! I absolutely love the memories we are making! Oldest dd is already 13 and I know it is just a matter of time before we don't have any more family vacations!

Ok - I think I might be caught up! Big hugs to those I might have missed! I am off to see if I waited too late to preorder photo pass+

Did I hear my name?:goodvibes. Yep, we went to the party, and the rain stopped for it! It was a blast, we had a great curbside spot for the parade and wow those fireworks are amazing! :thumbsup2. They literally gave me chills!

Only not so great thing was DD 3 woke up from 2 am - 5 am vomiting. :crazy2: Poor thing, only thing I can think of was too much candy! There sure was a lot of that laffy taffy....too much!:worried:

Looking forward to an RC meet up tonight at the Beach Club!
Candace I will not tally up our trips! Too depressing! Also not think about leaving tomorrow!

The memories are absolutely worth it for sure - and I am sure we will continue making them for as long as we can! :thumbsup2

Jen

Boo for leaving!!!

I am glad the rain cleared up for your party!!! Sounds like you have had a great trip, other than the kiddos not feeling good from time to time. I would be so excited for the RC meet - take lots of pics!

Yes, DON'T tally it up, :rotfl2:

basketlacey is right, you just can't "unknow" these things...:lmao:

But, its money well spent, IMHO.

One of these years though, I should forgo the Disney trip and just double the amount going into savings on a monthly basis instead.

I'm not ready for that yet.
Me either  Disney is a necessity!!!!! Food, Shelter, WDW, maybe in that order...:lovestruc

We just checked in; staying in the room right next-door to the presidential suite. Our neighbours better be quiet! Hoping the rain eases up enough to go to the pool. We went for a midnight swim last night since Miss M was up for it.

Loved the royal rooms, I'd really recommend giving it a try if it interests you -- it's not overly girly eitherI think the Prince Charmings DSs would approve!
:beach: Hope it clears up  Hope your neighbors kept it down...you know those executive leaders...rowdy bunch :goodvibes

Well I have it booked, let's hope there is a discount!
Yay for a new booking :cool1:

Peeked at the thread and saw Mousemommy's post about adding up trip costs. I gotta get outta here before I'm tempted to join in. Just starting with the four Deluxe CL trips we've done in the past year got my heart rate up a bit.
 Yeah, I won't be adding up any trip totals....no way :faint: Nice to see you stranger

Oh, how quickly we forget, dear Jeannette....me thinks I recall a certain Queen being a member of the future (and current) Grannie's Girls Only Trip next December...

I thought January... 2013 & 2014...can't keep up Christine :rotfl2:

:furious: very very true

Of course, that Rosie & her pole dancing, table dancing :scratchin
And with my luck, I may need a nurse too.....padawans.....or janet can be my stunt double :grouphug:

Pas - glad the ankle is getting better!
Thanks!!!

Almost in SINGLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

I agree ::yes::

basketlacey is right, you just can't "unknow" these things...:lmao:

So, I use quicken to keep tracking of our checking account. One of my categories is "Dance" because both of my daughters dance competitively. One year at tax time, dh asked me what the dance total was for the year. I said, are you sure you want to know? Because once I tell you, you can't "unknow"! He decided he didn't want to know :confused3 :rotfl2:

Oh and by the way - I just did online check in! woooooohooooooo!

I am totally a Dance Mom! :lmao: However, I promise you that I never cuss out the owner of our studio or any of the other parents :scared: We all act a bit more respectable than that:thumbsup2 But I love the show too! Oldest dd and I watch it together every week.

Hi RCers :wave2::

More lurking than posting lately. :surfweb: Some health issues lately are taking precedence. Not much else new here other than a little RCing. For November we were reserved at POFQ (still never been, I always change away from POFQ :guilty:). In August we changed to BWI where we've already stayed and loved. :thumbsup2 Now we are actually considering changing to OKW for the long weekend! :smokin: In my quest to stay at all the Resorts, this may be just the right time for a few day in Key West. :joker: And it is still close to Piano Bob. ;)

It's so nice that Jungle Cruiser, Missoutandabout, JennyJinx, Babyberger, and Padawans are all enjoying WDW right now. And THANKS for the pictures, they are all magical! pixiedust: We are having the same crazy mixed bag of weather over here on the west coast these last couple of weeks. :crazy2:

:wave2: my friends! :goodvibes I had a horrible night last night, and got scared I might end up in The hospital// having to postpone my trip! I had a HORRIBLE gallbladder attack that kept me up in agony until 4:30am ......finally subsiding enough so I could sleep in the early AM! I usually don't have wicked attacks like that, perhaps once every few years or so.....but my DS20 was home and heard me pacing, he was concerned! It finally worked itself out, and all I could attribute it to was that while barbecuing our strip loin steaks last night, I cut off a small piece of DS's to try and it had quite a bit of cooked fat on it......tonight I wanted to make scalloped potatoes from Disneys OHANA recipe (they used to be a customer favourite at OHANA until they where removed from the menu) -- unfortunately they have full fat cream, and lots of cheese.....I am scared. To bring on another attack!!! I was thinking I may skinny it down by using milk and less cheese.....I don't know if it'll affect the end result, we will see what I'm in the mood for cooking later......right now I just want to keep things bland! :rotfl: it scared me though , because I've not bought trip insurance and have invested a lot of money for this trip!

I'm not even sure if TI would have covered it if I did need to cancel due to gallbladder surgery -- as it's been a medical symptom I've suffered from in the past (attacks)
Thankfully I am feeling much better today now that the rock hard stomach has eased up, bloating and intense back/abdomen pain is gone! Those attacks can be a doozy! I've even felt like I was having a heart attack when I've had them before! Thankful I was able to work through this one with DH in England!!! And with only 1 week to go until I depart for my trip, ending up in the hospital would have been devastating! I'm going to have to be careful of my food and what I eat in Disney! I don't want to have an attack like that in Disney! :worried:

Onto happier news......My DS16 is on a hiking trip the next 2 days in the mountains of beautiful Banff Canada. They are hiking 40 kms over the next couple days!!! I hope he comes home sans blisters, as he was very much a procrastinator this summer when it came to wearing in his brand-new hiking shoes! He probably only wore them twice before this adventure!! I'm glad he has this opportunity, it'll be good for him! In 2 days my DH comes home!!!!!! I'm so happy! :cool1: it's been a long 2 weeks for me! Then .......NEXT THURSDAY it's our departure day!!!!! Its sure come fast! I'm cherishing every moment! :lovestruc

That's some hike your son is on. What a great opportunity!:thumbsup2
Glad your dh will soon be home! :goodvibes

Melissa loved the pic of your family. How did you guys like Captains Grill? That is one of our maybes. What did you order and would you get it again? What room view did you have - its gorgeous!

Thank you :goodvibes We jus had breakfast there one morning, went with the buffet to save time and everything was EXCELLENT! As for the room, we had booked a garden view and requested a wedding gazebo view, when I checked in the CM was super nice and upgraded us to a full water view (as you can see from the pics) The view was truly magical pixiedust:

I hope your health issues can stop taking precedence soon! We really do love POR but I seem to be on a deluxe slurge lately. OKW looks so relaxing, it just may be what the dr ordered ::yes::

OH NO!!! I am glad you are doing better today! Depending on the TI it should cover you. I know we always got a policy that we were able to waive the pre-existing condition clauses, you just never know. YAY on DH coming home soon and DS's hiking trip! You are so close, Disney will be at your feet before you know it :cool1:

Jen OH NO :crazy2: Sorry she was so sick, hopefully just the candy and not a bug to pass around! Have a great time tonight at your RC meet up!

Jeanette - hope the ankle is continuing to heal and you are sneaking in a little time to rest!

Candace - I hear you on the rude people posting, it was the same way on the cruise forums. I guess you just have to learn to ignore them and move past thier comments. But I honestly dont get why people feel they have the right to argue/flame/belittle, etc :(

HELLO to everyone else I missed :wave2: MIL is here and the kids seem loaded down with homework this week so I feel like I barely have anytime to myself. Plus last night and tonight are curriculum nights at the kid's school.

I seriously need to get on the phone with WDW tomorrow and start making some changes, MAYBE I will find out when the bday party is so I can actually be done with the craziness.

Melissa

Wanted to post earlier today, but have pulled every which way it seems ... :)

Hey, what's happening with our RCers??? :scared1: Nurse Jeanette where are you?? We need you STAT!!! :goodvibes

Marie: Please be careful what you eat this week (and in Disney). My friend once remarked that a gall bladder attack is worse than childbirth. Yuck. I want to read that you are all having a fabulous time next week!

Jen: Happy that you all had a blast at the Halloween Party! (pictures please :)). Sorry to hear your DD had stomach issues, hope she's doing better.)

Magic: Sorry you have been under the weather, hope WDW and the Halloween party is the perfect cure! :goodvibes Wish I could be with you to hear Piano Bob (I can just see you now in your Ye-haa shirt)!!

Melissa ... love your pic, especially the ones of your kiddos!! And thanks for the explanation on your family of the day pix :goodvibes ... so you dined in the captain quarters, aye? :yay: :thumbsup2

Sarah, Jen, Miss, Padawans.. am I missing anyone for the RC meet?? Enjoy! We are with you in spirit!! :cool1:

Running out of time ... back to school night ... Hi to all I've missed!!! :wave2:

Oh I am so ready to scream, yell, cry :furious:  I called DH's partner today and he PROMISES that he making a final decision tomorrow and will let me know the party date (yeah I have heard that before). So after I got back from curriculum night and finally ate some dinner I told DH I wanted to go back over all our Disney dates so when I finally get the word (that I am not holding my breath for) I can go ahead and make all of our changes. Now I have gone through these dates with DH before and he ok'd all of them. Well tonight he realized that the Feb dates may conflict with his annual financial audit, really he didnt realize this before :confused3 So he promises to call his auditor tomorrow and see if he can find out which week he is scheduled for.

Great, I am waiting for 2 different men to give me dates so I can book Disney, we know I am going to be waiting FOREVER:faint:

Add that to the fact that I am holed up in my room becuase MIL takes over the tv in the family room and I really dont want to be in the same room with her anyway.

Sorry for the vent, just needed to get it out!

Hope everyone is having a great night :goodvibes:goodvibes

Melissa

I hope you had a bottle of wine in your room to keep you company, sounds like you may need it! :upsidedow

Your MIL sounds like a piece of work.

I know how you feel though, about waiting for men. The other RC'ers will probably remember, but last July (2011) I was ready to book our Feb 2011 trip...it was great, because we knew there were no deployments in our future so that was great BUT we knew that DH would be scheduled for a 6 week school in Mississippi...which he was 99% sure would be for Nov 2011....I went over the Feb dates with DH, he said BOOK IT....2 days later, he got his school dates...right during our Feb vacation dates.....:headache:

And this is why we went in July this year, instead of Feb. though, I believe everything happens for a reason, because we were going to stay at POFQ for feb, but then the July trip planning turned out to be a RC'ing extravaganza, which had never happened to me before, so I guess I would have never met the beautiful ladies, never stayed deluxe or CL and realize how much we love it!! :p

It's funny because the other day, I said to DH that we could do our April trip for $2k less by staying at a value....he looked at me and said we.will.spend.the.$2000.... Guess he's sold, lol :rotfl2:
