So it's been awhile since I had a pas story to tell.....

On our way out the door to the wedding..I took a little fall..

felt a lovely pop...goes the ankle..

got up started driving....ouch...went home called my friend, called the Dr.

Sitting in the Dr. I had serious Deja Vu from my chicken foot incident (BTW it is at least the opposite leg)

I broke my ankle

DH said at least it was 2 weeks AFTER our trip this time

Aww, Jeanette.

Hmm, from my mucho experience with fractured ankles and feet (don't ask), thought no weight should be put on that ankle for at least a few days...use those crutches, my friend! (not that I am one to talk...had several fractures in my foot, no walking cast....but...could not get around on those darn crutches fast enough...had to have the cast replaced 3 times. No boots back in the dark ages.)

Glad your darlings are taking such good care of mama.

Take it easy - and don't go back to work too soon!


Welcome home, Janet! Know it was a fun, (and exhausting ) trip - hope you are beginning to feel back to normal...in time for a nice long weekend!

Thanks to the inspiration of sjs314, and the tutorial from Padawans, I decided to keep an eagle eye out today for a Sept-Dec discount on the room that hubster and I really love. That would be a deluxe CL at the Boardwalk. One popped up this morning, by the time I grabbed a calculator and phone...Disappeared. Went back an hour later, its BACK! 30% off! It’s available 4 of the 5 days of our vacation. So, I called CRO, booked it, and then booked a one night at the Yacht on our first night. Yes, RCers, hubster and I will arrive at the Yacht club. The next morning, in the very best Beverly Hillbillies style, we’ll pull our suitcases around the boardwalk to BWI. Hubster doesn’t know yet. I want to keep the surprise.
So, one night at YC, 4 at BWI and then 2 at BC in Nov. It’s an Epcot resort fall, for sure!!

Just back from a trial gymnastics class for DD5. Now, in my opinion, she is the perfect gymnast "type". She is tiny, only 43 inches, all muscle and only weighs 30 lbs. She is a jumper and bouncer, but she is super shy....all of the sporting attempts by this one have gone down in flames....well, the owner of the facility was absolutely enthralled by her, and she said that DD is a natural and has talent and would Love to work with her. DD was her typical shy self but started opening up and trying stuff and she was doing better than the girls that were already in the class!!!

We are going to take the plunge and sign her up! She says she wants to do it...it's $65/month though so if she quits, I'll be sad.

Fingers crossed that she keeps with it!

Wow, that is GREAT! I hope she sticks with it, too. It sounds like she's a natural! My kiddo is kinda awkward like her momma (see references to Elaine-style dancing above) not sure if she'll ever grow out of it. She sticks to her swimming though so I can't complain; it's nice when they enjoy doing something.

Baby, miss and gwynne - no airfare booked yet! I am playing with fire at this point. And really, since I already bought MNSSHP Tix, not so sure I can change to Dec. we could drive. We have plenty of time on the front end but would lose a day on the back. Plus today I heard hurricane Hannah's is closed -ack!!!

Seems they have something set up for food service by the pool now, or at least I thought I read something about it. Also, the bar is now over by the pool store / stand thingie (official term for it)? How long would the drive take? The airfare is absolutely ridiculous now, isn't it?

Hi everybody!!

First....I want to say thanks to everyone who is thinking of those us going through Isaac. It's much appreciated!!

We are still on the west side of the storm thankfully. We've had rain & high winds since yesterday but nothing terrible. Still have power!

But, this storm is SLOW!! The real bad stuff hasn't even gotten to my neck of the woods yet. On the radar, it looks like it will be getting here soon & will continue through tomorrow.

I really feel bad for the people on the MS & LA coast lines. They've really gotten hammered. There are homes in the low-lying areas of LA that are almost completely under water. Praying for all of those people being greatly affected by Isaac.

Well DH finished the shirts...I think he did a great job for a first time T-shirt maker...but he is less then pleased because they did not come out perfect. I keep telling him the DD's will be so excited when we give them out they won't even notice ANYTHING wrong with them!

One more sleep till the DD's are with my parents for the weekend! My mom decided they will spend one night at their house and then the other two here so the girls can have their own beds, and 'stuff', and "their" park. We live right beside one....which is great. Have a great night...and hope the storm affected check in with us soon...

Jeanette A week home to recoup sounds great, think of all the resort changes you can do

So the Dxl CL room at BW is available for my last 3 nights but that would involve changeing rooms plus messes up if we want the DP. Of course We could go crazy and stay 2 nights GF then instead or first 2 nights PBR. Then I keep thinking maybe just hold off and book the Dxl CL Room at BW for F
&W 2013 and not rock the boat on this trip. I know Bob is tired of hearing me talk about changing and is gonna tell me once again to do what I want
