Good morning!

Jeanette, take care of yourself and fee better. Forget about work, it's their problem. Too bad you didn't take a page from Dani's book and cough all over the idoits :lmao: or did you?!!! Your health means more than a night or two of work, geeze, what's wrong with people? In the meantime, as our Minnie & Nana lovingly says "gentle hugs"

jenny, love the idea of you dressing up as Boo for the party. What is everyone else being?

sjs, my DH and I were going through stuff in the basement yesterday, sounds like we both have a case of fall decluttering/cleaning! We have a volunteer fire dept in town and every year, on the last Saturday in September is a huge country auction fundraiser. People in town donate and people come from miles around to buy, old furniture, toys, bikes etc. AND as a bonus we have junk day the following week, so it's an incentive to go through stuff!

babyberger, good luck with the storm!

Hope everyone has a good Sunday! :)

DH is going to be Russell again from UP
me as Boo
the DD"s will be picking out their costumes at DD when we are there. Let's keep our fingers crossed we are not the loudest family there again!!:lmao:

I hope you are right about the 2nd week at WDW in December, that is when we are going next year. Dec 8 - 12 cruise, the 12 - 16 WDW.

Hope everyone is having a good day today and safe from the storm, and Jeanette hope you are feeling better!

Oh I forgot, my Big girl (DD8) just had her ears pierced this morning! It was part of her b-day gift from June, but we had to wait until soccer was over. She looks so grown up....tear!:)

Jenny - Yay for DD's pierced ears! I bet that was a big moment for both of you! :cool1:

DH just found out that he is going to an IT conference at YC in February. The kiddos and I of course want to tag along.:banana::banana:

The only problem is, they are so lax with planning that I probably won't have any details until a month or so out. I hope I can score airfare at a reasonable rate that close :confused3

Just wanted to say that it has been 9 days since my last change!!!!
And I have no changes on the horizon....I am perfectly settled!!!:goodvibes

Jenny YAY on DD getting her ears pieced, how exciting!!! And I love the the idea of Boo, too cute :cutie:

Jeanette how are you feeling? I really, really hope you are not at work!!!!

Well we are surviving the storm so far, it has been raining pretty bad off and on. I think our biggest problem will be with flooding. Schools announced they are open tomorrow even though the county south of us is closed. DS(19) did get a text that his college classes were canceled though. DH has a 6:45am flight tomorrow that is still scheduled, so that will be interesting to say the least. Thanks for all the well/safe wishes :goodvibes Luckily this isn't a horrible storm nor a direct hit. I have been here though a few Cat 3's are THOSE are scary!

Thank you for all the thoughts regarding my Nov/Dec/Jan dilemma. I think I will be okay in Jan for the Osborne and Dream lights, but I really want to see the resort decorations. I keep looking at the crowd predictions and I just cant believe that the weekend FLE opens is going to be less crowded that the previous weekend. I just post on the main boards so we will see what others think as well. I am leaning towards the first weekend in December as that is also a good time for DH to take off a day. But since I will be moving out of value season you know that means a RC as well :rotfl: I am thinking WL is a must for December!

Hope everyone else is having a good Sunday!

So, we have yet to book our airfare, because Southwest hasn't released their fares through our dates yet, and probably won't until early October. I hate not having our airfare booked.

We usually fly out of Manchester Airport, which is a quick 10 minute drive from our house....but if we fly out of Boston, I can get great airfare through Jet Blue...we're talking under $1k for the four of us!!!!

The problem is...we'll need to have someone drive us to Logan, either my dad or we can hire a driver for about $60 round trip.

And....we'd need to add on another night...coming in Friday instead of Saturday. We would get a room at a value that night...mostly AoA LM room and we'd be getting into Orlando at 9 am on Friday so a whole other day at Disney!!!

Basically the cost of one extra night at a value, the airfare, and the transport to Boston would cost less than what I am expecting to pay flying out of Manchester.

I guess I am just trying to figure out if I should wait and see what Southwest comes out with, but I'm afraid of losing the Jet blue rates....augggghhhh! What to do? :confused3

i say jump on the jetblue fare....sounds really good!::yes::

We are actually sitting here running numbers, and considering adding 2 nights to our stay, making it another 10 nighter!!!
2 at AoA - LM room
8 at Poly CL

All for the price of what I was budgeting for airfare. If I wait for Southwest, I could be looking at an extra $1k in airfare!!! :scared1:

We have to wait until tomorrow to make a decision, because DH has to make sure he can get the extra days off.

Candace, while I love the convenience of MHT, being able to add 2 days to your trip at AoA, may be worth the hassle of BOS. I would even say just take a car service, they seem to know the back ways in. I love JetBlue, they have been the only airline I have been flying lately. I don't remember does Southwest have a baggage allowance? Those bags can add up quickly.

Bags fly free on SW...what about on Jet Blue? :confused3

It was (and things always chage) one check in, on carry one and one personal item (purse, laptop bag, backpack). And of course they do weigh the to make sure they are not over the 50lb mark, but it seems like all the airlines are pretty strict with that now.

And I assume that's one bag per person right? We usually check 2 bags. There's four of us, so we should be good right?

MM: I agree! Book Boston! Can't beat 2 extra Disney days, trying out the new AOA, and GREAT airfare! JUMP on that :goodvibes

Sounds perfect :)

It's done, changed Jan to Dec. Made the crazy decision to go the first weekend of Dec. It is parade taping weekend, but we will work around it. I TRIED and BEGGED to stay at WL, but DS wont have it, he wants CR!!!! He is in love the way the rooms look and the whole idea of the monorail through the resort. DH said just keep the CR and we will just tour the other resorts for decorations. I think having such easy access to MK that weekend will be key too. And the CM I spoke to asked if I was a passholder, when I said I was, she said you know to keep watching the rates, everyday, especially early next week  That is the second time I have had a CM ask me if I am a passholder when making or changing resies, so I am guessing they know that is going to be the first round of discounts for the fall.

Oooh this is exciting, someone is posting that they think the 2013 jan / Mar FD dates may come out some time in September. Why do I care you ask? Well DH said to me that we should put the May trip for SWW to bed for now. I agreed, but then he said that maybe we will see an awesome deal that we can't pass up for February or something. :cloud9:

So....we'll see what happens. FD is such a good deal for us being a family of five, it is sooo hard to pass up. Fingers crossed for 2013!!!

So...getting so close now, DH has made 3 of our 5 t-shirts, and has 2 more to make. I will post pic of them when he is done. They are basic but they are our first ever homemade Disney T's!! :goodvibes

Last week I changed from CSR to POR. We have stayed at POR before and love it. Previously my DH has said no to deluxe because he doesn't see spending that kind of money on a room, but yesterday I was telling my sister that he had so no and he walked up and said he did not. He heard me telling her that it was my dream to stay at Wilderness Lodge or Animal Kingdom Lodge, so now he's thinking about it. My question is... Is there a limit as to how many times I can change resorts within a certain amount of time? I'm really hoping he'll say yes but it will surprise me if he does, I'm surprised he's even considering it after saying no before.

No, there is definitely no limit! They CM's are super nice and always willing to help! Definitely price out WL and AKL, they are more reasonable that most of the other deluxes. Just figure out which resort you think he will like more, find all the benefits to it, and SELL SELL SELL him on it :lmao:

Well I have already been on the phone with WDW after seeing the GP discount released for the fall this morning. So I was able to save a little on my Dec stay, not as good as I am hoping for but she said hopefully the AP discount that should be coming next week will be better. I didn't even bother to have the GP discount applied to my Oct trip, because at 1AM this morning the county did in fact decide to cancel school today. Isaac was not nice to us last night :sad2: But what this means is that my kids will not have off Oct 19 like we originally thought, which was not a great day for dh to take off, but was going to make it work. Now I can look at the calendar and pick a day that works better from him and just pull the kids out of school

Hope everyone else is dry on this Monday morning! :goodvibes

Hello RCers!

I was able to change our Nov trip this morning to the Beach Club! :woohoo:
I've been waiting to see if I could get a deal on a standard CL there for our dates, and with the new discount out this am, we're set. I think it's the perfect resort for gs, can't wait to see what he thinks of WDW.:yay:

Jenny-Those family shirts sound so cute!! Looking forward to seeing a photo.:cool1:

Kristi-As mentioned, no limit. A teeny tip, though. If you've made a few changes, log in and make sure the website shows what you think you have and/or check your emailed confirmation. It hasn't happened much, but I've had a time or two when there was a miscommunication I needed to fix.:thumbsup2

Melissa, Glad you were able to work out your dates. You'll have such fun doing a touring the resorts and enjoying the holiday decorations. :goodvibes

Marie, Are you having fun driving your new vehicle? :drive:

Saying hi to the RCers I've missed, hope you have a good day!:flower3:
