Ugh! Sorry! You were actually kind of the inspiration...I was trying to get a bunch of positive stuff to make me want to stay there...no such luck. :confused3

Sorry. :guilty:

That's okay you will save me some money ;) I'll look again tomorrow to figure out what I want to do. I love the look of the rooms (but could get that anywhere) and the idea of walking to the MK but the lack of Disney feel did concern me and that seems to be what people are saying. Okay I have been up for almost 20 hours, need to try and get some sleep.

Melissa

Jen: Phew, glad they've sent him home. Sounds like everything's okay then? Like Jeanette says, "Think Poly." ... with Lapu Lapus on top.

The kiddos shared their germs with you? Awww. Have you been able to get some rest at all? (My ick has culminated in a cold sore the size of Mount Vesuvius. I'm so vain that I've refused to leave the hotel room. How lame is that? )
Do you have Abreva??? Or the old toothpaste to dry it up!!! Must destroy cold sore by tomorrow...first day of Kindergarten

The germies have moved on to poor DH :crazy2:

Speaking of Poly, I am thinking of attempting to mix a brew of the Poly Punch on Friday....:upsidedow

Never be sorry for venting, even though I am a newcomer it seems that this group of ladies if full of love and support :grouphug:
Melissa
Awwww Melissa, it's like you've been here all along

I'm doing my "No Hurricane" dance already. It worked for us last year. Y'all September folks need to join in... :dance3: And if you dance as poorly as I do, all the better. *cue the Elaine-dance moves*
*in my bestest Elaine jive/funk/twitch :dance3:

Tonight we are FINALLY picking up the new Subaru Forester! What a long wait!! Just glad it's finally here....the finance mgr is a bit of a snob, who really has been most unhelpful ever since I declined the extra protection pkg's ....it's almost like she feels I am wasting her time by talking to me.....she will definitely be NOT getting a positive recommendation from me once this deal is done.....I'll be glad to be done the whole negotiating/ dealership process soon!!! I hate it!

Well, class is about to begin again, so I must sign off for now....Miss Y'all!
A very special and belated HAPPY Birthday to our Jeanette! sorry it's late, but it's just as heart felt :flower3:
Marie
Congrats on bringing home the new MarieMobile :cheer2: And I need a birthday doever...so not too late
pas, so sorry you got the "bug" for your birthday  At least you got the ice cream cake :goodvibes. Hopefully everyone is feeling better!

Our friend, Janet rode and survived Tower of Terror today. In fact she was threatening to go on it a second time

KOOK has moved from BLT, which they really liked to her beloved WL. :love:I am sure she and her DH and DD are looking forward to cobbler tonight!

AHHH, the GF smell. Most of you know pas loves the GF, but not sure everyone know that having stayed there, probably 20 times since our first stay in 1988 my love affair with the GF has been going on for many, many years. I love the GF smell, it's the first thing I do when I walk into the lobby off ME is breathe in the smell. I love, love, love it! It is similar to the BC. There have been lots of thread over the years discussing the resort smells, they are piped in and are all distinctive. :goodvibes However, I am sure there are times when a funky smell gets into any lobby...

Thinking of you Sarah

So happy Janet liked ToT:upsidedow

I LOVE the GF smell, I knew you would get it!!! So excited K&a&c'smom will be there soon!!!!

And Kookarific is loving being home at the lodge...just saw her post on her thread!!!!!! :thumbsup2

So sorry everyone, I was so caught up in my own day...I didn't respond to anyone else!!
Stop the insanity!!!! NO APOLOGIES!!! So glad today is a new day for you!!!!!

Candace!!!! I just read your CR thread, ugh!!!! Now you know I am going to end up changing Jan again!!!!! Now I need to watch Poly refurb more closely.
Uh-oh...I saw a CR thread by Candace, I thought she was contemplating a change....:faint:

Sheila, Magic, Kook loves CR... HHEEELLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!! OK time for a CR pic....

DSCI0511.jpg

So this is a sunset view of CR/BLT from the WL boat....just an idea of how amazingly serene Bay Lake is...

Uh-oh...I saw a CR thread by Candace, I thought she was contemplating a change....:faint:

A change to CR would really blow your mind, huh???? :p

I don't see that ever happening. My family is just not into the CR at all.

No changes today...and no twitching or urges...thinking happy Poly CL thoughts....CL because nothing else is available!!!! But, also, because it will be great of course. ::yes::

DH summed it up perfectly when I called him to complain that we couldn't drop CL - "Waaaaaah, the princess is stuck in CL at the Poly....what a horrible life....waaaaah!!!!

I love that guy.

LOL!!! :rotfl2: Too Funny MM! Yes, we have life so bad....POLY CL, whatever is a girl to do??? :p

Miss out and about: My new wheels are a lovely Sage Green.....it's a pretty looking car/suv :)

Once again I am posting from the train on my way into NYC (got to love an iPad). My daughter is getting a furniture delivery this afternoon while she is at work so I am on my way to her apartment to wait for the delivery.

Melissa, I have a sister who lives in Anguilla full time and she emailed me saying they are waiting for Isaac. Hurricane shutters up, fresh batteries, canned food. Hopefully Isaac will loose steam and won't bother either of you!

pas, so sorry DH got the plague making it's way through your family :crazy2: I think once everyone is feeling better a birthday "do over" for you is in order! AND thank you for the beautiful picture, so amazing. Really looking forward to seeing that view in person next month!

Mousemommy, can't even begin to keep up with your thoughts on resorts for next year, my head is spinning :faint:

Pulling into Penn Station. Hope everyone has a good day!

Missoutandabout—Best wishes as your dd starts kindergarten! princess:

Chimo2u-Congrats on the new wheels! Sage green sounds like a fabulous color!:drive:

MM—Stuck in Poly CL doesn’t sound bad at all!:thumbsup2

Pas, Missout—I am also happy to break out the Elaine-esque dance moves to shoo any and all hurricanes away. On second thought, it could shoo away humans, too. :scared:

Melissa
—I’m looking forward to hearing about your Yacht Club stay. I think you are there just a few weeks before we arrive. :cool1:

Jenny—Hope you have a nice peaceful day today.:flower3:

Kook-Love following your travels, goodbye BLuT, hello cobbler! :cheer2:

Sarah—I nearly always visit GF when I’m a WDW, but haven’t stayed there yet. I love their gift shops, particularly the one for men. I can find stuff there hubster will wear. Maybe after all the construction is finished, we’ll give it a try!:cool1:

Janet—Tower of terror? You are brave!!::yes::

And it's 42 days until I hear, Welcome Home!!

Good Afternoon Ladies! Been a hectic morning and finally getting a chance to sit down and look at the boards. Watching TS Isaac closely, looks like it may make landfall in South Florida next Monday, but like every storm we just watch it closely as it can change so quickly.

Candace Yeah it sounds like a “horrible life” for sure :p I am still concerned with the Poly refurbs not being done by early Jan but need to do some more research, really haven’t had a lot of time this morning to do it.

Sarah I hope your sister weathers the storm, thankfully it is not a strong one, but any storm can cause significant damage. Hope you have a great day in NYC, even if it is waiting for furniture.

Ginny I will definitely let you know how we enjoy the YC. It is our first time there, so we are really excited :cheer2:

Happy Wednesday Everyone :goodvibes:goodvibes

I guess it's a good thing that all deluxe resorts are sold out for when we're going (10/22-10/27) or I would have changed again. First I changed us from the Grand (due to construction) to the Beach Club. Now, I'm second guessing the Beach Club since the only time I didn't stay on a monorail resort I hated it as it lost a lot of the Disney magic for me when I was a kid, but can't change us. I refuse to stay at the Grand while they are building DVC (I adhor construction noise) and the Poly since now everyone at the Grand can use the pools and whatnot over at the Poly. Looks like I'll be stalking Disney to see if any openings at the Contemporary appear. If only I could make up my mind and keep it made up. Oh well....maybe one day! I guess this is a good problem to have though at the end of the day :scratchin

I think BC will be wonderful for F&W .... not to mention SAB!!! :beach:

Hi Aimee,
I totally agree with GG. We love Epcot resorts during food and wine. You can walk to Epcot and either walk or boat to DHS. It's so nice having two resorts right there. Add in Stormalongbay, walks around the lagoon on the boardwalk, well, I guess you can see I'm a fan!

I am shamelessly joining this thread! We are visiting the World 2/10-2/15 and were booked at the Poly TPV. We wanted CL but they were all sold out....or so we thought. Turns out that the Hawaii building will be under reno at the time. We don't want to deal with construction noise so we decided to move out to AKL CL. I am not really sold on it though due to the location and exotic CL offerings, but currently, it is where we are booked.

I am looking at changing over to WL CL now since the rooms have just undergone reno, but I really can't decide. Help!:rotfl2:

Thanks for the reassurances! It doesn't take much to sway me unfortunately or is that fortunately? :lmao:

You know my vote! And you'll get alot on this thread that will agree with me. ::yes::

You could just request a rennovated room...there should be a good amount available if they truly do start in November, but I understand the hesitation. It's how we ended up at WL CL last month (instead of just WL...not because we wanted CL -- though it was fabulous -- but because of the schedule, it guaranteed us a new room!) Now, we are suckers for CL though. :sad1:

Hi Aimee! We are staying at BC because of F&W. I really want to try them Poly but this will likely be our last family trip to F&W ( next year will be adults only) so I am saving Poly for a time when I don't want to walk to Epcot daily.

My kids are really looking forward to Stormalong Bay next month, and they are excited to walk into Epcot. I am hoping we all love YC as much as I think we are going to! I really wouldn't want to deal with the construction at the GF either and I didn't even think about all of those guests using the Poly. But you are right deciding which Disney Deluxe resort is a pretty good problem to have a the end of the day ;)

We are booked for WL 2/2-2/6 and am really looking forward to that! I think the time of year will be perfect at the WL! I may end up there in Jan as well :rolleyes2

Candace, I am so tired from lack of sleep the past couple of nights that I just want to cry when it comes to deciding what to do for Jan  I am so happy with all my other trips, I don't know why Jan is giving me such a headache. I guess because we are doing an Epcot resort in the fall, I kind of want a MK resort in Jan especially to see the FLE. But then I remind myself that less than a month later we will be at WL for 4 nts. I just cant see paying the rates for Poly if I am going to have to deal with construction.
