Now that it is August it seems like multiple RC families will be off the WDW. So exciting, even for those of us still at home, we can enjoy your trips through pictures and stories!

I think the 2012 RC family trip list is fairly set. Oh there will be changes but I wouldn't think too much major...so I am starting to take notes on 2013, as people return and plan their next trip. Won't post it for awhile, but it is in the works. So far we have Hannah, MM and me with trips booked for 2013...who's next?! I think there may be some cruises booked, let me know!

Ok, so first a confession. I LOVE YC. I actually prefer it (looks-wise) to BC. Yes, the quieter atmosphere and still the same pool is certainly awesome too, but I love the nautical them and the color scheme of YC. Anyway, EVERYTIME I check prices for YC, they are significantly higher than BC...I realized this is because it was a pool/lagoon view at YC vs. standard or garden view at BC....I have personally NEVER seen a garden view room pop up at YC...until today!!! My jaw hit the floor, because I simply did not know such a thing existed.

I grabbed the phone and called CRO! And lo and behold, there was a room available wit my AAA discount, so I booked and YAAAAAYYY!!!!!

Yay! I managed to find a YC CL GV room back when I booked BC CL SV and ... was > < this close to booking it. I think we're going to stay there next year. This year we're going to make a concerted effort to explore their lobby more.

Can't wait to hear how you like it. From the brief walk-through we made last year, I know we'd be happy there too.

Hahaha, I'm not getting emails anymore! Not sure why. Even checked my spam folder. Perhaps they know how crazy I am about going onto the site to print off all of my reservations. They figured they didn't need to bother...

Miss: As far as swimming with the tubes in, our DD wore silicone earplugs, and then I put a headband ear wrap over top of that (it fastened with velcro at the bottom back of the head). She had swimming lessons at the time, and no water in the ears. You can also get customized earplugs made just for their ears, but we didn't go that route. Hope that helps you some.

Also, I think after an hour or so after the sedation wore off, she was more like her normal self.

I_heart_the_mouse - I have to say that when we visited YC and BC, it was soooooo much louder and busy at BC, which was the ONLY turnoff, and really made us appreciate how quiet and relaxed WL is....I think YC is a good solution!!!

On another note, DH just told me that I need to learn how to make towel animals, because he hasn't liked coming home and not having that to look forward to!

I actually have a book on how to make towel animals!!! I can't even remember where I got it.

He's doing great, thanks! He is a bit sad because he got selected to play for the premier travel soccer team but we had to turn it down because he would have to sit out the first two weeks and that is a big no-no in the league. I'm not so sad though, I prefer the local rec league. Much easier to manage!

I've been sadly behind in posting since returning from the land of cheese (aka Wisconsin). Work and family stuff has certainly got in the way. [My DS is struggling with some issues so we have been helping him, and for right now he is on a better path, so good thoughts will be appreciated ).

And just wanted to tell you how pretty your new hairdo is (and you too!) the short hairstyle suits you, I wear my hair long as I don't have to fuss with it and I don't look good in short hair but you look great!!

I priced out a Christmas week trip just for the sake of doing it, no hope of that happening since DMil will not go just like during Thanksgiving. If my health was better I would just go by myself as I am dreading the Holidays this year.

I wish I could go in the spring again F & G Festival is so beautiful but I am p,anning on F & W in 2013 and WL or CR maybe GF but watch me cave and book BWI again since after all it is so close to Epcot.

Hi RCers: I just got back from a quickie WDW trip with DH and my DB visiting from NJ. We had lotsa fun together, and added a few new tricks to our repertoire: our first times at DisneyQuest and at Fulton's at DtD (mmmm mmmm good, the lobster corn dogs were an amazing appy!).

My comfort level is whatever number DH gives me, and then I just work within that

I guess it's easier not having to set it myself, I'd NEVER make a decision...or limit???? Lol!

On another note....but kind of related...I just realized that tomorrow is BONUS day at work!!! Got my pay stubs in the mail and WOOOOOHOOOOO for quarterly bonuses!!! On top of that, DMIL sent both DH and I $250 WDW gift cards!!!!!

I am getting so excited about the upcoming landing of NASA's Curiosity Mars rover. I am planning to stay up and watch. If all goes well, it should land about 1:30am on August 6th. What an amazing thing to see!

It looks like the military discount has been extended thru 9/28/13!!!!! I am soooo excited!!!! I guess I won't be able to call until tomorrow per lots of CM's who are already taking calls on this.

ETA: I think I will call tomorrow (apparently when you can start booking) and try to secure my current YC GV room under the discount...I will hold onto that for quite some time, since it is apparently hard to come by with a good discount. if we decide to do CL later, we can do that at a later date....if the discount is 40% again, we're talking over $900 savings!!!
