She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

That was an awesome Safari ride!! It was right after a cool front, so the animals were out. That handicapped car is NICE!! They don't squish you in like they do with the main ones.

Dh painted my wheels. He's really good at it. This was the first day out with this new set of wheels. They're good and broken in now!! I get lots of good comments on it!!!

Avery was a trooper on EE!!! She had fun! The wind was cool on my face, being that early LOL

It was great seeing all those animals. Avery amazes me with what she goes on.

You got some really nice safari pictures. But, my favorite pictures are the ones of the girls playing the drums. Those are all really cute!

Sounds like it was a nice start to the day!

It was a perfect start tot he day.

Great update!!! I think "my monkey" had the day off. :rotfl2:

FOLK always puts a smile on my face. :)

Lots of great Safari pictures. I always get more than one backside. :lmao:

Yes, I think "your" monkey was off that day. FOLK is wonderful!

great safari photos love the baby elephants, even the back view :lmao:....nice you got to be in on Christy GAC, she does have some cool wheels :cool1:

fun Cayley got picked to be part of FOTlK, I can just hear her roar! always a favorite show for us to see! Megan loved the "Bird Lady" when she was little!

Thanks, Lisa. Christie's wheels were awesome.

That is just a terrific show.

Love all of the FOTLK pictures! How fun that Cayley got to be the lion for y'alls section!

Thanks, Amanda.

Loving the updates, Ms. Kat and Mary!!

The pictures are amazing, Mary. Thank you for sharing! :thumbsup2

Love that Cayley got to be head lion for her group!! :cool1: I bet she made a great lion sound!! So great the kids got to be apart of the fun.

FOTLK is probably my favorite show in all of WDW! :cloud9:
I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking what an amazing show!! It's so great y'all got to see it up close and personal. :woohoo:

Didn't see Ms. Pat's monkey boy though. :sad2:

Love Christie's wheels! Tigger stripes! :tigger: Very cool. :cool2:

The updates are fast and furious, Ms. Kat. Y'all are doing a great job! :)

Cayley did an awesome job as the lion for our group!

Poor Pat...her money was off.

Sorry I've been slow on the recent updates...too much going on with Markie's big night last night.

Well, you are going to Animal Kingdom. Also acceptable: pony tail, lion tail, giraffe tail, monkey tail, fish tail or dinosaur tail.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Do you ever read the backs of your park tickets? It's actually against the rules - and subject to ejection - if you walk past these drums without playing them. True Story.

I never knew that. ;)

Great pictures Kathy!

Thanks, Barry.

Poor guy. Was there a lot of blood? How did the girls react? Did you explain that they would now take him over to Flame Tree BBQ so he could continue in the great circle of life?

Um....no; he was so quick you had to be just as quick to see him go.

Looks like she did a great job!

Best lion I ever saw.

Great pictures of the show - now I have The Lion King soundtrack stuck in my head. (And no, that's not a bad thing.:thumbsup2)

I love that soundtrack!

Great updates Kathy.:thumbsup2

You got some great shots on the safari.

That is great that Cayley got picked for the show. What a cutie.

She is a cutie, and she had so much fun.

So bummed I can't see pictures right now, but it sounds like you guys had a blast on the safari and in the Lion King show!

I'll be back!

Thanks, MaryEllen. We did have a blast.

Yay for Cayley ! Those girls are just SO cute !

Thank you. They are cute, aren't they?

Looks like a great start to the AK day :) Loved that baby elephant. We had a good view of him too. I looked for those drums and couldn't find them. Are they over by EE? We didn't go over there since no one in our group wanted to go on it. We missed alot at AK :( Have to do better next time.

I love AK; I know you weren't as impressed, but I think once you get the hang of the park, you'll like it much more. The drums are when you leave EE just before you approach the turn to the Safari...so you probably missed them.

What a great update! It's so much fun meeting up with other Disers and new friends at the park. I missed a call from Christie during one of our last trips because my phone was acting up during Star Wars Weekends and I hated that we didn't get to meet.

How cool that Cayley was chosen to be the lion at Festival of the Lion King! That's one of my favorite shows in all of Walt Disney World.

I love meeting new DIS friends, and Christie and her family were great.

She did do an awesome lion roar!! Kathy, don't know if you saw me pointing at Caylee on my lap when the guy was looking for someone. That guy has seen me there before, and always smiles and waves at me!! Mostly cause I always request to be put in the lion section!!

I was SOOOO glad the girls got the opportunity to participate!!! That was my goal!

Anyways, here's some of my pics from AK!

EE with Avery!

AnnualPass2012001.jpg

She screamed and had her hands up almost the whole way!! It was too cute! I'm sure I had a smile on my face the whole time as well. That's what keeps me going to WDW, the kids!! I could watch little kids all day long!

Safari

AnnualPass2012004.jpg

AnnualPass2012005.jpg

The thing that sticks out in my head about the safari was the cheetahs. They were actually MOVING!!! I don't think I've ever seen them moving around their area before!! I got a couple outside and in the lion king show. A couple of them has Heathers kids, and I'm not sure how to blur them, so I won't post them :)

AnnualPass2012023.jpg

My guys!

AnnualPass2012027.jpg

AnnualPass2012031.jpg

We parted ways with them after the Lion King show, and we headed to MK so I could get the parade done for my quest. We had an awesome day with them, and we did see them again!! I won't ruin that day tho :)

Thanks for the comments on my ride. My hubby knows I'm self consious about needing it, and makes it a little better for me by painting it. I have leg braces as well, and those are painted the same way, AND are autographed by Tigger himself!! I'm gonna get the chair autographed as well, as soon as I get a chance to see Tigger again :lmao:

Christie, thanks for sharing your pictures...it was such a great time.

I love the safari and FotLK pictures! I'm glad you got to meet up with a few people on your trip too, seeing friends is always fun! :goodvibes

Thanks; it was fun.

I love the safari & FOTLK photos!! I can't wait to hear about your lunch!

Thanks, April.

what a great update! I love that Avery went on EE and had so much fun, it looks a bit warmer this day as Caley has lost her sweatshirt. Great safari pics and how wonderful that the girls got to participate in FOTLK. Really really fun morning.

And very spiffy wheels, I love it!

Thanks, Cynthia. Avery is definitelly not afraid of anything. And Cayley was an awesome lion. And it had warmed up a little for us.

Caught up again! How fun that Caley got picked to be part of the LK show...

Looks like you are having a great morning so far at AK, looking forward to what is next!

Thanks (I'm so far behind on yours...promise to get back there soon).
Christie - thanks for sharing you wonderful pics! I Love your tiger striped wheels. Very cool!

Mary & Kathy -

More fun pictures. Can't believe Cayley was picked as the lion. She is just SO ferocious looking! :rotfl: Very cool!

Thanks, MaryEllen. My pictures will never compare to yours, but as long as we captured the fun, I'm happy.

Great update! Love the safari pictures, especially the back end one! Aww, glad Cayley got picked to be a lion, that's so cute! :)

Thanks, Jen.

Great update! Love all the pictures, especially the ones at FOTLK...and Cayley being up front and centre....too cute!

Thanks, Queen. Cayley did us proud.

What great pictures you got on the safari!

I never get good seats at FOTLK... looks like yours are awesome. And how cool that Cayley got picked to be the lion!!:thumbsup2

Thank you, Ann. The seats were the best.

Loved all the update, but especially these pictures--Cayley's expression is absolutely precious. :)

Can't wait to hear about the "new" place where you ate!

Thanks, Michelle. I hope to do an update tonight and you'll find out about lunch.

:sad2: Maybe his day off? What day of the week was that so I remember NOT to go on that day? :rotfl2:

Fab wheels Christine.

Awesome pictures and I love the ones with Caley being the lion.

I guess everyone is due a day off.

Great report ... I can't imagine a better way to celebrate!!!

Welcome! Thank you for joining, and I'm glad you are enjoying the report.

:woohoo: Yeah for a Florida trip! AND DTD and maybe WPE ;) :woohoo:

I can't wait...I'm missing my litlte sis.

:woohoo::banana::cool1:
what fun! a little taste of Disney, friends and sunshine!
so want EoS right now!

Thanks, Lisa. Although it involves work, it will be fun.

That sounds like it will be a nice little get-away! :thumbsup2 I'm with you on the values. But, like you said, it's just 1 night.

Thanks, Amanda. Yes, I can suffer for one night. Now that we have an engaged couple, I have some shopping to do at the Christmas store for them.

YAY!!! i already stalked on facebook to find out :rotfl: that is so exciting, what a cute couple they make!! I hope they enjoy this wonderful time, it has been such a wonderful time for us and I just say enjoy every moment of it!! :goodvibes

Ok, this might be the coolest ECV ever! I love it!:thumbsup2

Isn't it great? I wish I had taken a picture of the tail.

Hey, you didn't tell me that Marv joined you on the safari?;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Great updates Kathy! The girls look like they're really enjoying themselves. How fun for Cayley to have been chosen for the show! Love her sweet, excited expressions too.:goodvibes Looks like AK is shaping up to be a fantastic day for you all.

We all had so much fun.

Oooh, back to Florida, yay!:woohoo: How fun, even if it is only the values. I'd take that over not being able to go to Disney though! And like you said, you can head to DTD, shop a little, and get a great meal without even having to go into the parks.:thumbsup2 Are you excited to see Nicki? My guess is YES!:goodvibes

Counting the days....we are down to 35.

ETA: Looking forward to hearing about Markie's proposal! You are going to share it here, right?? You must be so excited Kathy, a new daughter to love!

Proposal update coming soon.

Ha! Got you beat....Bradey and I will be in FL in 7 days :yay: Cape Coral to visit my parents. We are flying into Ft Lauderdale this time, so we are planning on stopping in Naples on the way across for dinner :)

Lucky you. :goodvibes

Kat, what a great trip report!! The girls are adorable and you all seem to get along so well, very sweet!

CONGRATULATIONS on your wonderful health news!! That was so great to read!

Also, so exciting about Markie!! I cannot wait to hear all about the proposal....hopefully you can turn your furture daughter-in-law into a Disney nut, what are the chances? :)

Thank you so much (good to see you back).

I haven't been on in awhile....life issues seem to be never ending but I am here now and look forward to reading more of your report!

Hope things smooth out soon.

someone's :stir::stir::stir::stir:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Molly is my girl!

Who, me?  Kathy can attest to the fact that I am a complete angel, right Kat?

Trust me, Marv had this one coming...he likened me to a similar shot of the safari on Kathy's last TR so really, this is all about payback!

Yes, Molly...you and I are both angels.

Its hard to believe you are only on your second day, you did so much on day 1!

We were able to get a lot done...and most of what we wanted to do.

YAY for mom's who multitask:rotfl:

:thumbsup2

I love the drum stop, we never miss a chance to drum a bit, at AK and in Epcot....if there were drums in DHS and MK we'd do it there, too! Clearly the girls love it!

My "kid" is the same way. ;)

You have some great animal photos Kathy! :cool1:!Thanks.

What a great Lioness you have Mary!!!:cutie::simba:

:woohoo:Maybe you will like it this time :flower3: but either way is a short disney fix and time with your besties!!!

I doubt I'll like the All-Star, but happy I'll be in Florida.

Wow what a great start to day 2! How awesome that Cayley got to be in the FotLK show! She looks like she had a blast!

Great pics on the safari! And I do love Christie's chair!! The tiger stripes ROCK! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Ali. Cayley did have fun. Tigger rules!

I bet you are an . It takes one to know one.  :rolleyes1

Despite what Marv thinks, Molly is an angel. :littleangel:

Great AK update and how cool that Cayley was picked to be a Lion !!I love the Lion King Show and always see it when I go !!Can't wait to go again in October !!I am still gonna ask Carol about Chicago for next year , but now is not the time

Thanks, Rosie. I hope things get better for Carol soon.

Well, all caught up again! Love the updates from AK as it is one of my favorite Disney parks! How cool that the girls got to participate in the FOTLK show, and I love that picture of Cayley with her "paws" up!!! What an expression of sheer joy and delight!!!

I love AK...it is definitely better for us than DHS. Isn't it great the girls got to be part of the show? They had so much fun.

Molly, Molly, Molly! I told you that dream you had of me being a wild animal ravishing you was ONLY A DREAM!!! This obsession you have gotten from it is not healthy at all, and totally inappropriate for a family board like the DIS....... :sad2:

Marv, are you picking on my Molly again? Am I going to have to call Tim to borrow something to whip you into shape?

 ? YOU??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, she is an angel. She's just like me.

And you're basing this on???? :confused3

Watch it fella.

How cool Cayley was picked to be the lion during the show, she looks so excited doing it too :thumbsup2

You were able to get a ton of amazing animal pics during your safari, that is very cool!

Thank you, Shannon; she was excited.

fun updates! I do love the Lion King show. I hope we can catch it in Nov.
It's wonderful to meet so many Dis friends too!:thumbsup2

It's fun meeting new people...although they are often "old friends" after talking on the DIS.

Oh, I just knew we were in sync Pat!:thumbsup2:laughing:

Oh good grief.:headache: There's so much wrong with this paragraph that I don't even know where to start!:headache: Let's just say *I'm* not the one living in a fantasy world!

puckerup: :p

 Yes, me! Where's Kathy? She'll defend me!

My sweet, sincere, non-sarcastic behavior here on the DIS of course! Duh.:teacher:

I'm here, Molly. Sorry...with the engagement things got hectic. MARVIN, STOP PICKING ON MY PERFECT, ANGELIC FRIEND!

Sorry it's taken me a little while to get over here to see the last update.

That is so cool....that Cayley got to demonstrate the "lion" roar for the crowd! :yay: What a great day at Animal Kingdom.

No worries, Glenn. I've been so busy, i've not been here.

Cayley did great!

What did Pat ever do to YOU!!! :sad2:
That is a pretty weak rebuttal there Mols!!! You know what they say, denial.....It's not just a river in Egypt!!!
There's so much wrong with this paragraph that I don't even know where to start!:headache: (hey, I found somewhere this line is appropriate!!!) :rotfl2:

Didn't I warn you before not to mess with my Molly?

LOVING all of the photos ladies as usual ladies, AK looked like a BLAST!!! BUT, I really came by to say....

TODAY is the BIG DAY!!!!!

I am so excited for everyone! :woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::dance3::woohoo::yay: :woohoo: :yay:

Thanks, Judy. Yesterday had to be one of hte longest days in my life.

This is always such a fun thing for the kids to do.
Very cute picture!

I wish I had taken off from work. What a long day.

Good Luck to Markie today :goodvibes:goodvibes soon you will be a MIL :woohoo:

Thanks, Lisa.

I can't believe you actually wanted to miss out on the best ride in AK, Kathy. :sad2:

Those are some great safari and Lion King pictures. I still have never seen that show.

Good luck making it through the day. Shouldn't Markie be the one who's having trouble concentrating today though?

When you are my age, you might not like EE anymore either. ;)

You have got to see the Lion King!

Yes, Markie should have been having the trouble, but he was calm, cool and collected; I was a wreck!

very excited for you today!!!

Thanks, Ann.

Oh Kaaatttthhhhhyyyyyy.........have you exploded yet??? :goodvibes

I came close a couple of times.

Hooray!:woohoo: Like any of us thought she'd say no! Congratulations to you, Mark and the happy couple! They look gorgeous together too, so happy with big ol' smiles on their faces. So you're going to be a mil? You don't look old enough.:goodvibes How did you manage to hold yourself together today?

Don't they look happy? And cute too!

Yay!! So happy for your family!!

Thank you so much.

 so happy for them, they look so happy....ah young love

expect to see a countdown wedding ticker soon MIL!!!

No countdown ticker yet; first they have to settle on a date and there is talk of already moving the original "proposed date" by Markie.

Such a wonderful time in your life! :goodvibes Savor these beautiful moments. :lovestruc

Thanks, Camille. It is so thrilling.

Hey Kathy!

Congratulations to you, Mark, and Markie!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Don't start pestering them about kids... You'll have some grandkids to spoil in due time!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I promise...no pestering about kids. I'll give them two years of marriage and then I'm on them!!!!

Congratulations to all of y'all! So very exciting!!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Amanda.

Congratulations to the happy couple and all the parents! :goodvibes

Thank you, Karin...appreciate it.

Yay! Congrats to everyone!

Let the planning begin!

And let me know if your Florida trip takes you near Melbourne
!

Thanks, Kelly. It doesn't look like Melbourne is on the agenda this year like last year, but I'll let you know if it changes.

Congratulations to the happy couple and their families:banana:

It's such an exciting time, they look so happy:goodvibes

Thank you, Diane. It's going to be fun the next year (or two) with all the wedding plans.

Kathy I need to add you as a friend on Facebook!! PM me your info.

Aren't they cute together? I'll PM you my info later.

Yay! Congrats to everyone!! :yay::yay::yay:

Thanks, Ali....I appreciate it.

Okay, we are about to eat dinner, and then we have to run to Target and Ulta. I promise a "proposal" recap when we get home and the rest of our AK day.

And then I have to go and catch up on everyone else's threads. :scared1:

Here we go.

So I talked to Markie about four times during the day, once on the phone and the other three times via text at different times of the day. I asked him if he was nervous or having second thoughts and he replied, "absolutely not!" I asked if he knew what he was doing yet? He said, "no, still winging it." I asked him what he was wearing for dinner, etc. You get the idea.

So they left Dubuque at around 3:30 and were in the Dells by 6:30 p.m. (Alisha picked him up from work since she had the day off). They checked into the condo that they are staying at with her folks and siblings (they weren't arriving until today). After they unpacked, they got dressed for dinner. Markie purposesly asked Alisha what dress she was wearing so he knew what color scheme he should go with.

They went to Del-Bar, a very nice "fine dining" restaurant in the Wisconsin Dells which is known to have very good steaks (Markie's favorite meal). After they were seated, Markie pretended to go the bathroom and went to ask the hostess if, in five minutes, she could come to the table and take a picture of them with his phone. However, it wouldn't really be a picture, but a video of the proposal. The hostess came over and Markie told Alisha he wanted a picture to remember her "special birthday dinner" by and they stood up and posed for the picture. The hostess pushed the button pretending she was taking a photo and said to my son, "we're rolling." He then turned and kissed Alisha, got down on his knee and asked her to be his wife and told her he loved her. Okay...I'm getting teary-eyed all over again just typing this. Markie posted the video but I'm having a hard time getting it uploaded (if I do in the future, I will post it). In the video, I can hear Alisha saying, "oh my God." She said yes, they kissed a couple more times and everyone in the restaurant clapped. Some of the guys yelled out that Markie made them all look bad.

He said it went perfectly. I talked to Alisha afterwards (and I cried) and told her how happy we were that she was going to be a part of our family.

Markie originally said the wedding would be the summer of 2014, but now the two of them are talking about April or June of 2013. I've already told them it has to be June because we plan on being in Florida in April. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Mark and I could not be more pleased with Markie's choice of a wife. She is truly a gem and we love her with all of our hearts.

Here is a photo of her with the ring on and the "engagement photo" once more for those who may have missed it.

engagementring2.jpg

Aren't they gorgeous together?

Engagementphoto.jpg

It turns out that Markie has no wrestling next weekend and Alisha gets off work at 2 p.m., so we're driving to see them next Saturday. We'll take them to dinner to celebrate and officially welcome her and tell her we love her.

Oh dear, now I am teary-eyed Kat! What a lovely, sweet story. I love it! And I also love how Markie is all "I'm winging it." He did a perfect job and how clever to have it all filmed! (I wish DH and I would've done that so we could look back on our engagement.)

June sounds like a perfect time for a wedding! You must be over the moon excited and little does Alisha know what a wonderful woman she's getting in you as her mil.:goodvibes Any chance they'll have their wedding at Disney? Or is that Andy's gf who loves Disney like you do?

And yes, they are gorgeous together. What beautiful grandbabies they'll make!:goodvibes

ETA: And thanks for sticking up for me in regards to Marvie. It's so hard being misunderstood Kathy but I knew you'd come to my rescue!

oh my Kathy, tears in my eyes too...what a sweet proposal, you and Mark have raise a good man there :goodvibes

can't wait to see the video!
congratulations again to the happy couple and to your family

Yes, Molly...you and I are both angels.

Despite what Marv thinks, Molly is an angel. :littleangel:

Watch it fella.

I'm here, Molly. Sorry...with the engagement things got hectic. MARVIN, STOP PICKING ON MY PERFECT, ANGELIC FRIEND!
Now see Kathy, up until now I had high hopes for you.......... :sad2:

Oh dear, now I am teary-eyed Kat! What a lovely, sweet story. I love it! And I also love how Markie is all "I'm winging it." He did a perfect job and how clever to have it all filmed! (I wish DH and I would've done that so we could look back on our engagement.)
Bitinggggg tongue........ :rolleyes1

ETA: And thanks for sticking up for me in regards to Marvie. It's so hard being misunderstood Kathy but I knew you'd come to my rescue!
Misunderstood????? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kathy that is a great picture of Markie and Alisha. The picture of the ring on her finger looks a little blurry.........was she still shaking??? j/k

Great job by Markie winging it!!! Sometimes things work better when you just let them happen and go with it........... :goodvibes
