She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

First - Congrats on being cancer free for five years. :cool1::cool1:

Second - I agree with you on getting to the airport. Even if I have to wait a while, I know there is not much that can go wrong once I arrive at the gate. Like running out of gas... :rolleyes1

Third and certain;y not least- what a cute picture of the 3 of you girls. I am glad it all went smoothly even if you had to visit 2 Disney Stores and retrieve your checked luggage.

After that happened to me once I debated having an extra ME tag with me to tag the carryon ... just in case.

great updates! Glad you both had safe and uneventful flights! Love that surprise pic! Love the pics of the girls, too - they are so stinkin' cute! :cutie:

Oh my goodness, I adore the look on the girl's faces when they got their surprise. How awesome that you guys were able to pull it off. Girls trip here we come! :lmao:

Kathy, congratulations on being cancer free for five years. That's just such an amazing thing to hear.

Kathy, I am so very happy to celebrate this day with you. Having been an oncology nurse, it is an anniversary I don't take lightly! God bless you and
I Thank Him for letting me know you!:hug:

Now to the pics and those adorable girls!!! What a great start to the trip! :goodvibes

I'm glad the flights went smoothly- looks like the trip is off to a great start. The girls look adorable!:goodvibes

What a great picture! I'm glad everyone's flights went well and that you pulled off the surprise! The girls look thrilled.
Well Mark, it WAS only the first day......... :rolleyes1

Oh hush up troublemaker. If anyone is innocent, well, I think we all know who that is...moi.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, I see, now you AND Tim are ganging up on me. Ok, that's how it's going to be, huh? Good to know you two are in cahoots together. But guess what, so are Kathy and I! We'll keep you boys in line.;)
Like this maybe........ :love1:

Mary your girls are just so cute....want to  those sweet faces!

looks like the girls are pro's at flying, love their suitcases....Megan does really great with it too!

so how do you like the Kindle Fire? is it easy to operate? I'm a tech challenged girl so need to know if I can handle it :)

Ah, thanks. I love my Fire. it is very easy to operate. Just touch what you want!

Mary, I'm impressed that you could stall the girls so well, my guys would have been chomping at the bit!

Kathy, I think I posted on FB but :cool1: on the 5 year milestone, that is SO wonderful!!!!!!!

those are some VERY happy faces :cloud9: so cute!

I'm the same way waiting until a later flight out...much rather get up early and go! happy you had a smooth flight and no issues flying by yourself :goodvibes

Weren't they just so cute?

I was happy with my flights.

So happy that you had such a great plane ride! And the picture of you & the girls is adorable. :goodvibes I bet they were so excited to see you!

They sure seemed excited. :goodvibes

Yay for arrival day! Such a sweet surprise. The girls look so happy to see you!

You can call me Mare. ;) Especially since I'll be stalking this TR for my Disney fix until I leave in a couple weeks!!

Mare, thank you.

What an adorable picture of you and the girls. :goodvibes

Thanks, Lessa.

And then you throw Mols in the mix........ :scared1:
Car Bombs? Really? What are you trying to do, turn your Super Bowl celebration into a European Soccer event??? :rotfl:

Kathy, the picture of the girls reaction at the airport!!! Mary was definitely prepared and did a great job getting the shot! :woohoo:

Are you picking on Molly, Marv? That don't cut it with me. No one picks on Sweet Molly, especially on my TR.

To be young again and drink car bombs. ;)

Too many. :lmao: 25 days! :woohoo:

What an adorable picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad to hear you had a nice flight. :goodvibes

Those 25 days will fly by.

Thank you for the kind words.

Great intros! I think it is SO cool that you surprised the girls. I can't wait to hear more!! :goodvibes

I was hoping the surprise would go off...I was worried Avery would read something when she was by her mom when on the computer.

Sounds like a great start. Easy flight and those precious little faces all lit up:goodvibes

Aren't they precious faces? Such sweet girls.

Hi Kathy and Mary! :goodvibes
Sounds like a nice way to be greeted at MCO! :thumbsup2

The girls looks so happy to see you and be in Disney!! Kathy- that is a great picture too- you look fantastic!!!princess:

Thanks, Nic. How sweet of you to say I look fantastic; still want to lose another 10 pounds if I can.

sounds like a very nice flight. And how you could nap after all of the coffee:confused3 I would be up for days. :rotfl:

Love the picture of you surprising the girls. What a perfect way to start your girls trip.

Dawn, it was a good flight. Mark often wonders how I sleep after all the coffee too. But since I do half caffine, it's not so bad.

It was the perfect beginning.

LOVE the pic of you and the girls too cute :cutie:

Im glad your flight was safe and easy going :thumbsup2 I got used to flying alone in college when I was going home to visit...so much so I help coach my mom through it now :rotfl:

Thanks, Shannon. You are a good daghter to coach your mom. :)

That's not going to happen.

But I'll make sure to keep up, just in case Bambi gets wind of that little proposition.:sad2:

We shall see. ;)

We're the same way. We hate sitting at home doing nothing before a trip. We'd rather sit at the airport and do nothing. It's still nothing, but it's nothing just a little closer to Disney World.

I was going stir crazy sitting at home. I didn't even want to DIS anymore.

At least you didn't have to pay! :thumbsup2

I would have been ticked off if I had to pay.

Madison loves that movie! We got it from Redbox and she had to watch it twice before we returned it.

It was a cute movie.

Hi, my name is Barry. :wave2:

Night night, Barry.

Yay! Sounds like a great start to the trip! I hate it when they run out of overhead space. That's weird though that they checked your bag right through instead of Gate Checked.

Oh, and by the way, the Newlyweds are doing well, thanks for asking :) Geoff has a call with a manager in Florida today about a possible position, so fingers crossed! We found a house that we absolutely love, but we'd need to build it. We're meeting with a Realtor tonight to talk through the process of selling the place here. Send pixie dust please!!

Kelly, I was up to the door of th eplane when they took it from me and they said they were checking it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the job/house in Florida.

I was hoping for the title

GIRLS GONE WILD

:rotfl2:
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Mary your girls are so sweet. Do they pick favorite princesses that reflect their blonde & brunette hair? My sister and I used to do that when we were this age. I always wanted to be the blonde, but "couldn't" because I had brown hair:rotfl: Kids!

However, I went to bed the night before feeling another darn cold coming on. And sure enough, I woke up Thursday morning with a runny nose and feeling run down. I took my shower and drove to Starbucks and got my cappucinos (yes, I got 2) and some orange juice. I brought it home and paid some bills online while drinking my juice, popping pills, gargling with salt water, etc. I was determined I was going to fight this thing and NOT be sick for my trip.
I was so hoping that your head cold was just an allergy or something. I hope the OJ & gargling helped.

I'm with Tim, a little whiskey in that coffee would totally kill any germs ;)

I saw Mary and the girls were talking to her. So as I slowly approached, I bent down a little and said "I hear there is a girls' trip going on and I want to go too." And this is the reaction I got at the airport:

Surprise1.jpg

I think they were a little shocked at first and then they got excited.
How awesome! what a great picture and great hugs you are getting!

Up next, Mary's travel day and our ME experience and check in at the resort.
ooh i forgot this was your first ME experience:thumbsup2

Mary's Travel Day

My sweet Hubby got me a Kindle Fire and I watched "The Devil Wears Prada" and read. Cayley watched 2 movies. Avery watched one movie and played on her DS.

did you download via netflix, or have a digital copy from somewhere else? Just wondering -- my DH surprised me with a Nook Color for Christmas. I have watched netflix on it but haven't actually downloaded one...yet.

love this picture!

After that happened to me once I debated having an extra ME tag with me to tag the carryon ... just in case.
I put our tags on everything if I have enough. Better safe than sorry!!!

But it sounds like you did well under the circumstances. An uneventful flight is a good flight.

Agreed.

A win (especially for a flight that crowded). The fees and declining service levels have turned flying into nothing more then a bus ride. The glamour is long gone and that’s unfortunate.

I agree again. Having to pay for a snack is ridiculous, no pillow or blanket, flight attendants basically ignoring you.

Given your affinity toward Starbucks…
That’s the better of the two to be meeting at in the first place.

You have a point.

That’s a fabulous picture right there.

I think so too...it's now my background on my laptop.

Great start! Looking forward to much more…

Thanks, and glad you are here.

Wow Kathy,
I can't belive how far behind I got. I worked the hardware store on the weekend( I don't know why we were opened, every one stayed at home to watch the Patriots loose!!) and I never checked the DIS boards. I love the photos of you and the girls. I've said it before, there is nothing better than seeing Disney again through the eyes of a child. Can't wait to read the rest.

You worked Super Bowl weekend? That is weird.

It was so fun watching the girls and their reactions to evereything.

Such an adorable pix of you and the girls at the airport !!!:cloud9:
As for Chigago !!It is Halloweeny type trip and the Title of it is " Ghosts ,Gansters and Ghoulsof Chigago"Sounds interesting but the main attraction was CHIGAGO home of KatMark !!!!:banana::banana:I plan to talk to Carol and convince her to go next year , if she isn't interested I have a couple of others in mind !!:banana:

Awwwwww...thanks, Rosie. I would love to meet you and Carol. We'd have a blast talking about Marv.

Girl, I hear ya on the flying thing....hate it!! Actually, I only hate it if there's turbulence, but I do get worked up before getting on!

I love the picture of you and the girls! It really sums up how excited they were doesn't it! I'm guessing Mary was excited to have you there too! I cannot wait to hear all about the rest of the trip!

The turbulence definitely makes it worse.

It was fun doing a girls trip. Love my hubby....but it is nice to do Disney with just girls.

I'm kind of like you when it comes to getting to the airport. It is going to be boring sitting there doing nothing, but I tend to feel a little bit relaxed once I'm finally through security and sitting at the gate waiting to leave. However, if I was looking to calm my nerves, I think I'd be looking for something other than Starbucks. :lmao:

And since you never know what security will be like, it's always best to be there with time to spare. And wouldn't you know it, I was in and out of security in 8 minutes!

I'm glad the flight was uneventful and your bag actually made it, despite lack of carry on space.

The airlines have to do something about the people who carry on too much for a couple...with four bags between them.

The picture of you with the girls is great. It looks like they were definitely pleasantly surprised.

Thanks, Andy.

Great posts ladies!

Thanks, Tim.

You don't say? :lmao:

I never tell a lie.

I would of snuck in some nips. :rotfl::rotfl:

Never thought of that.

Love the pic of you hugging the girls!

I do too.

I'm working on uploading the pics from my camera. ;)

I saw that; I'll try to get there tonight to comment.

Kathy glad your flight went well :goodvibes I will be flying alone for the first time in Oct for my girls weekend

Love that you surprised the girls and they were so happy to see you, wonderful picture

Thanks, Julie. Hey, I'm a pro now flying alone...you'll be fine.

Glad your flight went swimmingly. :goodvibes I'm with on the hating flying thing, as you know. I would have wanted to leave early for the airport, too. I hate waiting around for things like that, day of. Its why I love to fly out early in the morning.

Those girls look so happy to be with you! It must have been a great moment for all involved.

I prefer morning flights myself, but this worked out for the girls and Mary.

It was a great moment.

I know that you were nervous about flying alone so I was very happy to read that the flight went smoothly.

The picture of you and the girls is simply adorable! You can tell from all of your smiles that they were indeed surprised.

Lisa, thank you. They did have big smiles, didn't they?

Yay for a smooth flight! I have never flown alone and will be this time, though I am not really nervous. I might be by the end of the week though. The girls looked thrilled to see you, what a great surprise for them!

Stephanie, if you aren't normally nervous, you'll be fine. A fun surprise for me and the girls.

too funny Kathy! That much coffee (and I'm a coffee fiend as you know) would not calm my nerves, it'd ramp me up. I'm so happy it went so well and I love love love the girls reactions! That is a priceless picture.

Thanks, Cynthia. The half caffeine helps me not get ramped up. It's one of those once in a million pictures.

And to the BBS (blond bomb shell), I am glad you had a great flight but I hated that you felt sick!

I understand the antsy anticipation feeling when leaving for a trip, that is why I drive Todd nuts with "can we go, are you ready, how bout now, ready to go now, THATS IT I'M LEAVING WITH OUT YOU!" mantra that I lay on him every single time! (Picture me stamping my foot as I say it and hop around like an impatient child)

The picture of you suprising the girls is priceless and thanks to Mary for quick picture taking so we could experience the moment!

Thanks, little sis (blond bomb shell--where did that come from?). I can just picture you stomping that foot and Todd just rolling his eyes at you.

Mary did great!

Sorry! Tim started it...:rolleyes1

Tim is a troublemaker. Perhaps we should get that whip out? ;)

I'm in awe of you Kathy. I hate to fly but to do it alone?? Good for you!

Thanks, Molly.

Ack! No sickness allowed!! Did the magical elixir of Starbucks erase that cold for you? Either that or all the pill popping you were doing.

I wish it had, but it didn't.

I'm the opposite...I try to drag out every last possible minute at home and then secretly hope my flight will be cancelled. Yay for another Starbucks though! What's that make, like ten now??

You don't like to fly either? It brought the total number up to 3 for the day.

Yay! A perfect flight, you can't ask for anything better. How was the movie? It looks really cute but we've yet to see it.:goodvibes

I really liked the movie; Mark and I had actually watched it just two weeks before that.

It was a sign...

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh my, too stinking precious! Look how happy they are to see you! What a fun surprise.:goodvibes And you look fabulous Kat, I love your hair cut.

Gee...you are making me teary-eyed remembering it. Thanks...we went a little more layered with the hair and I just had it colored the night before.

Oh please, I'd be a calming influence on them. Um hmm.

You are very calming because you are so sweet.

Sorry, we don't want the DIS police after you again. pirate: :sad2:

Yes, they seem to come after me, don't they?

:laughing:I forgot about that, poor Kathy!! Yup, better keep things on track.

Yes, someone on the DIS does not like me and likes to report when I go off topic.

Well, who else could I blame? Certainly not myself:laughing:. And you did start it with your dig at the Pats.:rolleyes1 I'm just saying...:angel::angel:

The guys have no one to blame but themselves.

Following your track record, you should of blamed MARV! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think she should just blame you both.

well then lets get this party started...

congratulations on your 5 year cancer free anniversary :flower3: enjoy your day :hug::hug:

Thank you, Lisa.

:woohoo: woo-hoo I second the party

Thanks, Julie.

How about a party for Ms kathy!!!

Such a great milestone!!!

Thank you, friend. I had the BEST party with you and the girls. :goodvibes

Mary's Travel Day

Before I start let me say that I had some difficulty witht he picture taking this time around. I felt like the flash washed things out but no flash created blurriness. Maybe MEK can give me some tips...So you get some of each LOL

Unlike Ms Kathy, the girls and I love to fly. And the more bumps the better :) I am not a fan of getting to the airport early but Hubby had to get to work so off we went. First stop was Starbucks-an airport tradition

WDWJan12006.jpg

WDWJan12007.jpg

WDWJan12008.jpg

WDWJan12009.jpg

Avery had hot chocolate, Cayley a smoothie. We then made our way through security and to our gate. Girls pulled out their "electronics"

WDWJan12010.jpg

Right before boarding we went and grabbed some lunch from CPK. The flight was a little delayed and then we had to wait in line to take off. The flight itself was uneventful. My sweet Hubby got me a Kindle Fire and I watched "The Devil Wears Prada" and read. Cayley watched 2 movies. Avery watched one movie and played on her DS.

WDWJan12011.jpg

We landed a little late but still before Ms Kathy. We made our way to the fake monorail

WDWJan12016.jpg

We then had a "photo shoot" while we waited. They still had no clue at that point.

WDWJan12013.jpg

WDWJan12015.jpg

WDWJan12014.jpg

WDWJan12019.jpg

We then waited by the Disney Store-after figuring out there was more than one :rolleyes1

WDWJan12017.jpg

I was talking to the girls trying to keep them occupied while Ms Kathy made her move. They were both really shocked. And happy. I am trying to remember the cute thing Cay said when we were getting Kathy's luggage. Soon we were off to ME :)

Mary, love the pictures of the seasoned travelers. They are just too stinkin' cute.

It was a hoot trying to figure out where you were from where I was. But we finally made it and it was awesome.

I hope you are telling your clients that too.... might explain the slurred speech! ;)

Congratulations on this MAJOR milestone!!!!

We are glad to have you here with us Kat.

Thank you, Tim. I know that you personally know exactly how exciting and thankful I am for this milestone.

You could always blame ME! It wouldn't be the first time you've accused the innocent!!! .........this particular topic even! :rolleyes1

You beat me too it! Definitely proves there's some truth in there since we both came up with it....... :rotfl:

Marv, if the shoe fits....

Truly wonderful day!

And Mary...how unbelievably cute are the girls? You got great shots of them. I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas, too. Haven't watched anything on it yet, but I've been reading a ton. :goodvibes

Thanks, Tina.

Your picture with the girls is simply ADORABLE. :goodvibes

Congratulations on your 5-year milestone!

Glenn, the girls make it adorable.

And thanks for the congrats.

Congrats again, Kat on 5 years!!!! I also have little princesses so I hope that you all enjoyed your girls' trip!!!

Danielle, thank you so much. The girls trip was wonderful.

the surprise was just too cute. I would love to do something like that....but no body to do it with. LOL

I have to say that I've met some really wonderful people on the DIS and this trip was proof of that.

Mary - the girls are just too cute - and the surprise photo is tops! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Kathy - here's some being cancer free dancing! :cool1: :dance3: :cool1:  :cheer2:

Thank you, Karin.

Kathy - You definitely deserve a party today! Congrats! :goodvibes

Thanks, Amanda for the congrats.

Thanks for the link! I'm here late, wow page 9!

Tink, glad you are here.

What a great picture! I'm glad everyone's flights went well and that you pulled off the surprise! The girls look thrilled.

Thanks, Mark. It was a smooth flight, and it was so good to see the girls (can't believe how much they've grown since September).

Subbing! :goodvibes I'll be back to catch up soon.

Tanz, I'm so happy you are here.

Since I never officially introduced myself... My name is Shelby! I absolutely love reading your TRs and you have made me want to start one of my own! I have tons of pictures from my December trip and am thinking about writing one but am a little nervous...

And :yay::woohoo::banana::cool1::cheer2: for 5 years!

Thanks for introducing yourself Shelby. And you should do a TR. I would sign up and read and comment. It is fun seeing and hearing how everyone's trip went.

Well, what are you waiting for? Just Do It! Everyone loves a good Christmas TR with lots of holiday pictures! :thumbsup2

DITTO!

Kathy - congrats on 5 years cancer free. Thats so awesome!

Thank you, friend.

SO glad I found your TR!

The picture of the girls' reactions when they saw Kathy is priceless! :goodvibes I love it!

Michelle, I'm glad you found us.

I love the photo too.

I'm here too!!!! Great arrival day!!! Them girls are too cute!! LOVE the surprise pics!!

Can't wait to read more!!!

Hi, Christie. I'm so happy that you are here. :goodvibes

Congrats on 5 years cancer free Kathy!

Loved reading about both arrival days! The girls looked so thrilled that you were joining them on their trip, Kathy!

Thanks, Jen for the congrats and for reading along.

Yes ma'am.

Oh, Molly, you know I was just giving you grief.

Kathy, this just made my day! Yay for five years of being cancer free sweet friend. Let me guess, you celebrated with a Starbucks, yes? Maybe spiked with a little Bailey's Irish Cream perhaps? Congratulations on this most excellent and important milestone, I'm so happy that you're so well and healthy. And honey, you don't look a day over 35.:thumbsup2

I didn't have a drink, but Mark took me to Red Robin for dinner and it was yummy. I'm not so sure about the "not looking a day over 35" thought.

Oh hush up troublemaker. If anyone is innocent, well, I think we all know who that is...moi.

Guess Molly told you.

Oh, I see, now you AND Tim are ganging up on me. Ok, that's how it's going to be, huh? Good to know you two are in cahoots together. But guess what, so are Kathy and I! We'll keep you boys in line.;)

Molly, they can't keep up with us!

Mary, your girls are beyond precious !!!! And Kathy ..... my name is Susan :)

Hi, Susan. :goodvibes

First - Congrats on being cancer free for five years. :cool1::cool1:

Thanks, Pat.

Second - I agree with you on getting to the airport. Even if I have to wait a while, I know there is not much that can go wrong once I arrive at the gate. Like running out of gas... :rolleyes1

You have a point there.

Third and certain;y not least- what a cute picture of the 3 of you girls. I am glad it all went smoothly even if you had to visit 2 Disney Stores and retrieve your checked luggage.

After that happened to me once I debated having an extra ME tag with me to tag the carryon ... just in case.

It did end up going pretty darn smoothly.

great updates! Glad you both had safe and uneventful flights! Love that surprise pic! Love the pics of the girls, too - they are so stinkin' cute! :cutie:

Thank you, Ali. They are stinkin' cute!

Oh my goodness, I adore the look on the girl's faces when they got their surprise. How awesome that you guys were able to pull it off. Girls trip here we come! :lmao:

Kathy, congratulations on being cancer free for five years. That's just such an amazing thing to hear.

Danielle, I love that look too...just too cute.

Thanks for the congrats. It is amazing and I can't believe it has been five years.

Kathy, I am so very happy to celebrate this day with you. Having been an oncology nurse, it is an anniversary I don't take lightly! God bless you and
I Thank Him for letting me know you!:hug:

Now to the pics and those adorable girls!!! What a great start to the trip! :goodvibes

Thank you, Judy. Your sweetness and kindness overwhelms me.

I'm glad the flights went smoothly- looks like the trip is off to a great start. The girls look adorable!:goodvibes

Kate, good to see you again. I have to get back to your TR (will try to catch up on it tomorrow...I miss those adorable boys of yours).

Well Mark, it WAS only the first day......... :rolleyes1

And you call yourself my friend?:confused:

Kathy, I think I posted on FB but :cool1: on the 5 year milestone, that is SO wonderful!!!!!!!

Thanks, Cynthia.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you, MaryEllen...I so appreciate it.

I was so hoping that your head cold was just an allergy or something. I hope the OJ & gargling helped.

I'm with Tim, a little whiskey in that coffee would totally kill any germs ;)

Nope, a full fledged cold developed. I should have gone with the whiskey.

How awesome! what a great picture and great hugs you are getting!

They are great huggers.

ooh i forgot this was your first ME experience:thumbsup2

Yes, my first ME experience.

Great pix of Mary's Girls !! OKay Kathy's too !!!!:rotfl2:

Thanks, Rosie.

I wanted to do an update tonight, but I'm exhausted after the responses. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I will do an update on ME and arrival at the resort and our evening tomorrow or Friday a.m. because Friday night and all day Saturday I'll be at the boys' former high school working the IHSA Individual Wrestling tournament. They just won't let me go away...they keep pulling me back.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Holy cow! :scared1::scared1: I have been busy/sick the last few days so I haven't been on dis much... and WOW! look at all these pages. :rotfl:

Kathy, I am glad your flight was a good one. I imagine flying alone could either be great or really not...

Mary, the girls are so darn cute. I know everyone mentions that... but seriously?!? They are soooo adorable and I love the picture of them with Kathy. oh... and Avery's carryon  I am starting to really love all things Minnie...
