She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

Hey!:headache: There are Pats fans here Tim:rolleyes1. And the Giants only won because the stupid Patriots cut a receiver 24 hours before the freaking Superbowl. Well that and Mannningham catching that 38 yard pass and landing his flipping feet in bounds! Ugh. When we saw that last night, we knew it was the turning point and the Pats would lose (despite Brady's Hail Mary pass with like 2 seconds left in the game)

It was a great game.... I'm just coming back to being normal now. I was a little fuzzy all morning. :rolleyes1

Wasn't it? I love when it's that close. I still think the Patriots should've won though:mad:. Hmm, can't imagine why you'd be fuzzy headed this morning...too many buffalo wings? Couldn't have been the booze, right?

Well, one of my friend brought a case of Guinness, a bottle of Jameson, and bottle of Bailey's. In between my budlights, there were many car bombs being consumed. I lost count after 5.

:lmao: Man, with all that alcohol, I'm surprised you even remembered there WAS a game last night. Everyone here was drinking these speciality beers, made with rye instead of wheat? They were pretty popular though since there's not one left!

Looks like you guys had a good night too! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Heck ya! Despite the tears shed over seeing the Patriots lose:sad1:. It was a fun party...lots of BBQ wings, hot wings, homemade salsa, chips, pies and drinks and yelling. Good times.:thumbsup2 Too bad there's not a Superbowl every week.;)

Molly and Tim, have you two ever noticed that you are ALWAYS hijacking my thread by going :offtopic: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thank you for joining; I signed up for yours too.

I was hoping for the title

GIRLS GONE WILD

:rotfl2:

Who me? I'm such a calm and quiet person. ;)

:laughing:Honey, I think that would only be the title if it was just YOU and KATHY at Disney!;) Thelma and Louise style. Right Kat?

Now that would make more sense. :thumbsup2

I am here and following along! I can't wait to see all about your trip!:goodvibes

Hi, hon. Thanks for coming over.

Good grief, Page 5 of my own joint TR...... And Ms kathy has not even done her replies yet....Lots of football talk :) I was also at a Super Bowl Party when this was started.

Amanda, we are so happy to have you here. How is your adorable son?

Thank you! :goodvibes He is growing up so fast! I can hardly believe it but he'll be turning 4 in March! :sad2: I really must find out a way to freeze him before he gets too much older.

My plan had been to get up really early this morning so that I would be tired when I was on the plane and could nap. As most of you know, I hate flying with a passion. And this was the FIRST time I was flying alone in over 32 years. :scared1:

However, I went to bed the night before feeling another darn cold coming on. And sure enough, I woke up Thursday morning with a runny nose and feeling run down. I took my shower and drove to Starbucks and got my cappucinos (yes, I got 2) and some orange juice. I brought it home and paid some bills online while drinking my juice, popping pills, gargling with salt water, etc. I was determined I was going to fight this thing and NOT be sick for my trip.

Andy came home around 9:30 from work-outs with the baseball team and caught up on some shows we had DVRed while I did some DIS time and started getting antsy to go to the airport.

Although my flight was not until 2:25, at 11:45 I told him I needed to go to the airport even though it would only take 35 minutes or so because I was going crazy sitting at home getting nervous about the flight. I figured this way I could stop at Starbucks for another coffee, get something to nibble on the plane and try to calm my nerves.

My chariot awaits:

Finally boarding started. Of course, I was in Seating 4 so was going to be one of the last ones on the plane (I hate when that happens). And, as luck would have it, the plane was full witih carryon luggage and there was NO room for my carryon. I purposely squeezed everything in so I wouldn't have to pay a luggage fee. But I did not pay the luggage fee because they took the luggage at the entrance of the plane and checked it for free.

We took off about 2:35. And I have to say I was very calm on the plane. I had an aisle seat and watched A Dolphin's Tale and took a short nap. There was no turbulence, no one got up to use the restroom. It was as perfect a flight as I've ever had.

I landed actually a few minutes early and texted Mary that I had landed. They had just landed too (they were a few minutes late). I asked if we were still meeting in the food court. She told me she was by the Disney Store and I said I would walk over there. Well, we forgot there were TWO Disney Stores at the airport and Mary was by the one by the Starbucks. So I walked over there to meet her and the girls.

I saw Mary and the girls were talking to her. So as I slowly approached, I bent down a little and said "I hear there is a girls' trip going on and I want to go too." And this is the reaction I got at the airport:

I think they were a little shocked at first and then they got excited.

We proceeded to chatter and headed down to baggage pick-up to get my luggage which ended up being checked and headed to the ME.

Up next, Mary's travel day and our ME experience and check in at the resort.

And, to those of you that I replied to and did not address personally, I apologize. I do not know all of the names and if there isn't one in the signature, I didn't post a name. Please introduce yourself IF you choose.

those are some VERY happy faces :cloud9: so cute!

I'm the same way waiting until a later flight out...much rather get up early and go! happy you had a smooth flight and no issues flying by yourself :goodvibes

So happy that you had such a great plane ride! And the picture of you & the girls is adorable. :goodvibes I bet they were so excited to see you!

Yay for arrival day! Such a sweet surprise. The girls look so happy to see you!

You can call me Mare. ;) Especially since I'll be stalking this TR for my Disney fix until I leave in a couple weeks!!

:laughing:Honey, I think that would only be the title if it was just YOU and KATHY at Disney!;) Thelma and Louise style. Right Kat?
And then you throw Mols in the mix........ :scared1:
Well, one of my friend brought a case of Guinness, a bottle of Jameson, and bottle of Bailey's. In between my budlights, there were many car bombs being consumed. I lost count after 5.
Car Bombs? Really? What are you trying to do, turn your Super Bowl celebration into a European Soccer event??? :rotfl:

Kathy, the picture of the girls reaction at the airport!!! Mary was definitely prepared and did a great job getting the shot! :woohoo:

Great intros! I think it is SO cool that you surprised the girls. I can't wait to hear more!! :goodvibes

Sounds like a great start. Easy flight and those precious little faces all lit up:goodvibes

Hi Kathy and Mary! :goodvibes
Sounds like a nice way to be greeted at MCO! :thumbsup2

The girls looks so happy to see you and be in Disney!! Kathy- that is a great picture too- you look fantastic!!!princess:

sounds like a very nice flight. And how you could nap after all of the coffee:confused3 I would be up for days. :rotfl:

Love the picture of you surprising the girls. What a perfect way to start your girls trip.

LOVE the pic of you and the girls too cute :cutie:

Im glad your flight was safe and easy going :thumbsup2 I got used to flying alone in college when I was going home to visit...so much so I help coach my mom through it now :rotfl:

Can we bet on that? I'll bet you don't and Ryder has to wear a Bears hat for his first football game. :lmao::lmao::lmao:
That's not going to happen.

But I'll make sure to keep up, just in case Bambi gets wind of that little proposition.:sad2:

Although my flight was not until 2:25, at 11:45 I told him I needed to go to the airport even though it would only take 35 minutes or so because I was going crazy sitting at home getting nervous about the flight.
We're the same way. We hate sitting at home doing nothing before a trip. We'd rather sit at the airport and do nothing. It's still nothing, but it's nothing just a little closer to Disney World.

And, as luck would have it, the plane was full witih carryon luggage and there was NO room for my carryon. I purposely squeezed everything in so I wouldn't have to pay a luggage fee. But I did not pay the luggage fee because they took the luggage at the entrance of the plane and checked it for free.
At least you didn't have to pay! :thumbsup2

I had an aisle seat and watched A Dolphin's Tale and took a short nap.
Madison loves that movie! We got it from Redbox and she had to watch it twice before we returned it.

I think they were a little shocked at first and then they got excited.
:yay:

And, to those of you that I replied to and did not address personally, I apologize. I do not know all of the names and if there isn't one in the signature, I didn't post a name. Please introduce yourself IF you choose.
Hi, my name is Barry. :wave2:

Yay! Sounds like a great start to the trip! I hate it when they run out of overhead space. That's weird though that they checked your bag right through instead of Gate Checked.

Oh, and by the way, the Newlyweds are doing well, thanks for asking :) Geoff has a call with a manager in Florida today about a possible position, so fingers crossed! We found a house that we absolutely love, but we'd need to build it. We're meeting with a Realtor tonight to talk through the process of selling the place here. Send pixie dust please!!

I hate flying with a passion. And this was the FIRST time I was flying alone in over 32 years. :scared1:

But it sounds like you did well under the circumstances. An uneventful flight is a good flight.

the plane was full witih carryon luggage and there was NO room for my carryon…

…But I did not pay the luggage fee because they took the luggage at the entrance…

A win (especially for a flight that crowded). The fees and declining service levels have turned flying into nothing more then a bus ride. The glamour is long gone and that’s unfortunate.

I asked if we were still meeting in the food court. She told me she was by the Disney Store and I said I would walk over there. Well, we forgot there were TWO Disney Stores at the airport and Mary was by the one by the Starbucks.

Given your affinity toward Starbucks…
That’s the better of the two to be meeting at in the first place.

That’s a fabulous picture right there.

Great start! Looking forward to much more…

Wow Kathy,
I can't belive how far behind I got. I worked the hardware store on the weekend( I don't know why we were opened, every one stayed at home to watch the Patriots loose!!) and I never checked the DIS boards. I love the photos of you and the girls. I've said it before, there is nothing better than seeing Disney again through the eyes of a child. Can't wait to read the rest.

Such an adorable pix of you and the girls at the airport !!!:cloud9:
As for Chigago !!It is Halloweeny type trip and the Title of it is " Ghosts ,Gansters and Ghoulsof Chigago"Sounds interesting but the main attraction was CHIGAGO home of KatMark !!!!:banana::banana:I plan to talk to Carol and convince her to go next year , if she isn't interested I have a couple of others in mind !!:banana:
