She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

So, what did I miss? A lot, I know. Sorry... :guilty:

Now, as many of you know, living in Chicago all my life and having Chicago pizza, there is not any other pizza that has ever lived up to it (although Mark has had New york pizza and he says it is close). But in truth we absolutely HATE Disney pizza and to be honest Florida pizza as well. But I was a good girl and said that it was fine with me.

Over Flame Tree? :sad2: Oh well, I know my kids probably would have voted the same way.

I have to admit the pizza was NOT as bad as I remember Disney pizza being. Either that or I was really hungry. ;)

Amazing what you'll be willing to eat when you're hungry. But even bad pizza is usually edible.

We were headed off to the Dinoland area to do a few things. However, on the way, I spotted a place that we HAD to stop. It was one of the few times that I insisted on a stop for photos.

You went to see a bear, a donkey, and a Tigger!

So could any of you guess where I was making our group stop? If you guessed to see a bear, a donkey and a Tigger...then you are correct.

:woohoo::cool1::banana:

Man, I'm amazing!

Actually I was just proving that I wasn't skimming. So there.

Of course, I had to get one with Eeyore for Mr. Mark since he let me go with the girls:

This makes me imagine Mark sitting back in Chicago moping while you were having fun. :rotfl:

While we were doing that, Mary got in line with the other three girls to go on Dinoland's version of Dumbo:

Oh, please. That ride is COMPLETELY different. One has elephants, the other has dinosaurs. You can't get more different than that.

HEY!!! You do know that's my boyfriend you're hugging right?? LOL Just kiddin!! Awesome pictures!! I hate PW, it hurt me the last time I was on it, so no more for me!! LOVED the updates, and the pics with the characters. My favorite spot!!

I know I've already seen this point addressed, but I'm kind of eager to see what you think about Via Napoli if you've tried it. I do enjoy Chicago pizza so I can understand your bias, but I really, really liked the pizza at Via Napoli. The other Disney pizza... well, it is edible.:confused3

It looks like you got to spend some good quality time with your friends from the hundred acre woods. They didn't have to call security because they thought you were going to kidnap Tigger, did they?:lmao::rotfl2:

I like the fact that Pizzafari now gives you a salad with your pizza. Not because of the health benefits of eating rabbit food, but so you have something else in your stomach to help soak up the grease. :rotfl2:

Tigger looked pretty happy to see you.

Funnily enough, we actually LIKE the WDW pizza! We live really close to New Haven which is renowned for it's pizza...but I just really like pizza in general so it would have to be pretty terrible for me to say I don't like it.

I will, however, add in that the last time we went to Pizzafari, I got the Italian Sandwich and it was super good! I wouldn't hesitate to get it again.

As in HOT ITALIAN!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:I started a whole bunch of craziness when I said I had a HOT ITALIAN a few years ago!!! But that's my wonderful Dis Family for ya !!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm all caught up - woo-hoo! Congrats on everything - your health, the engagement, etc. I think I said all that on FB but you can never celebrate good news too many times. Love all of the updates so far!!! I will have to show Jordan (my DD) all of the Stitch photos. She fell in love with him on our last trip in January 2011.

They are going to have HOW MANY guests at their wedding? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Holy cow! Alicia really has a large family!

But they are such a cute couple! I might have missed it, but since they are already looking at a venue, are they planning on a wedding sooner than you thought?

Love the trip report - just wish I would have more time to comment, but I swear ... I AM reading!! Hope to be better in the future! :rolleyes1 :flower3:

Great picture! :thumbsup2

Thank you. :)

Graveyard is about right, because you can die waiting on your kids to get ready to leave! :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I am typically with you when it comes to disney pizza. I was pleasantly surprised though with the pizza at Pop. Maybe I was just starving though.. What about Via Napoli? I hear good things there. Have you tried the pizza there?

I KNEW you would be stopping to see Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore!!! Such cute pictures. I think the ones of you with Tigger are priceless. You can see the kids in you when you are with him. :goodvibes

Boneyard was fun... dd and I went there for the first time on our December trip. Can you believe I didn't realize all the activities they had until December???:confused3

cant wait to read more. :goodvibes

No, we've never eaten at Via Napoli. We had a reservation two years ago, but we cancelled it for some reason. I know Nicki and Todd have eaten there several times with good and bad results.

Yes, that's me...just an overgrown kid.

We NEVER took the kids there. I'm trying to remember if it was even there when the boys were last with us together back in 2000 (although by then they were a little too old for it).

A great trip to visit the kids.

A huge wedding with 500 invited. :scared1::scared1: Sounds like a huge affair.

Love the Minnie bag.

Can not resist Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore. Great shots and I am glad you braved Primevil Hurl. I don't mind it but not many can take the spinning.

Thanks, Pat. Yep, still at that magical 500 number. They met with the Priest yesterday to get started on their questionnaires, classes, etc.

I love my Minnie bag too. I love the name "Primevil Hurl" -- that's about how I felt when I got off of it.

All of the pictures with the characters are so cute! :goodvibes

I love Primevil Whirl! I don't know what it is but that ride just makes me laugh & laugh when I'm on it.

Thank you, Amanda. I do love my Tigger. It's a fun ride...but my age is creeping up on me on some of those rides. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I do need to get Claire to the boneyard too. I haven't been to it since 99. Back then it was all open...no trees covering it up like now.

So it was open in 1999? I still don't think we ever took our boys there. :confused3

We get there every couple of months too! Dubuque is only 20 miles from Bellevue. We're not opposed to driving to Dubuque.... So a DISmeet could happen! Now if we could coordinate when we all will be there..... :goodvibes
Oh and were not far from Chicago either.... :)

Loved your update! Those girls are the cutest things!

We've been to Bellevue a couple of times for wrestling. :)

The girls are adorable, and I miss them already and I won't see them until next January (hopefully I'll see them in January) because they aren't going in September this year.

the hot sandwiches at pizzafari are really good.
:thumbsup2

Mark and I are planning on going agian in September. Maybe I'll try one of those hot sandwiches. Is there one you like better than the others?

I guessed right about you meeting Tigger and Pooh! That's one of the few, okay only, things I've guessed right for your TR. That character meet is one of our favorite spots. :)

You get a :thumbsup2 for guessing right. It is a great spot...the characters spend a lot of time with each group.

While I can't say that the pizza at Disney is superb, I can say that the pizza at Pizzafari is pretty good so I'm betting that your meal was a mix of both being good and you being hungry. ;)

Love all the pictures with Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger!

That would be my guess to on the pizza, Lisa.

Thanks on the pics. :)

Add us as a yes to the wedding :rotfl: Just kidding, but totally teared up reading your post about how he asked her!! Even though I was following on facebook I love hearing a proposal story!!!

I am so excited for you guys and cannot wait to hear all about the wedding, very different than our tiny one but I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing all wedding stuff now :thumbsup2 so I cant wait!!

Love the pictures of you all seeing the Winnie the Pooh characters, so sweet!!

Shannon, you are more than welcome...I'm sure two more can be SQUEEZED in. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I will keep everyone here updated and on Facebook so you'll see something form time to time.

Thanks...we had a great time with the characters.

Haha, Brandon is kind of a pizza snob and doesn't like Disney pizza, but I think it's good! And living 20 minutes outside of New Haven, it's like, a sin to like any other pizza than that really thin crust kind, but...eh...pizza is pizza to me! :rotfl2:

Cute pics with the Pooh characters, I really need to visit them in AK, they seem like they are really fun to interact with there! :thumbsup2

Hi, Jen. Mark is a pizza snob too, so I'm not sure he is going to like Pizzafari, but he is going to give it a whirl.

Yes, they are raally fun in AK...and spend lots of time with everyone.

Glad you guys found a nice place for the reception! That's a LOT of people but it will certainly make for a fun time!

Your pics from AK are great! Love the ones with Tigger! :lovestruc

I LOVE Primevil Whirl (but I'm a big coaster girl!) - I just laugh hysterically the entire ride!

It will be an interestesting reception if nothing else.

Isn't Tigger THE best?

I enjoy Primevil, my stomach just didn't like it so much this time.

I Soooo agree with you about Disney pizza. It is just OK. What I wouldn't give for some Chicago deep dish pizza right now. yummy !!! We do have an ADR for Via Napoli on our trip in a couple of weeks, so I will be able to report on that. Can't wait to read more about your trip.

All this talk about pizza is making me crave one tonight and that's not happening with Mark in Vegas. You will definitely have to let us know about Via Napoli.

It looked like a real hug-fest with Tigger, Pooh, and Eeyore!

It was a hug fest--the kids love those characters (this kid too!).
Where bones go to die?

Maybe I should go look for some of my bones there?

That guy 2 dino's behind Mary looks really excited.

That is a good catch, Glenn. That kind does look excited. ;)

Love all the pics Ms. Kathy!

You know, you shouldn't of been hogging Tigger. I'm sure the girls would of liked to spend some time with him too. :lmao::lmao:

PW? That has to be one of the worst rides in all of Disney. I just don't get it. :confused3 :sad2:

Gee, Tim, can't I have any fun with my boyfriend, Tigger?????

PW is fun (and it's great for those of us who can't do EE anymore). :)

what cute photos of all you girls!!! looks like the characters got their quota of hugs for the day :goodvibes

Thanks, Lisa. The characters got more hugs than they knew what to do with.

Wow, 500 is a lot of people! I bet it will be great. :goodvibes

I love the decor at Pizzafari. I'm neutral on the pizza, but it looks so cool that I like eating there.

Looks like a lot of fun meeting Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger.

I don't think we had been to Pizzafari in over 12 years so I totally forgot what it looked like inside.

Great updates and such cute character pictures!! Those four girls are so very cute together and their smiles are priceless! And the big girl's smiles are priceless as well!

How fun to get to go do that! I'm glad the weather looks a lot more cooperative for you all at AK!!

Can't wait to read more about the rest of your day there! :goodvibes

Thanks, Amy. The girls had so much fun with that set of characters. Our smiles were because we knew where we were going next and what we were getting!

Oh I was so far behind on reading! Finally I got to read how Markie "popped the question" ....how sweet! I can just hear the other guys in the restaurant teasing gently (my hubby would have been there too!)

Your weekend in Dubuque to visit the kids. It looks like you all had so much fun and everyone looks so happy!:lovestruc

If Markie & Alisha are paying for their own wedding, they may rethink the size as it gets closer. I remember paring down our list (we had 200 people there) as our budget got carried away (we paid for our own wedding). :goodvibes But you're right - they are gonna do what they want, its their day. My mom tells me still how challenging it can be from time to time to hold her comments and let us figure it out:hug: That's what mom's are for!

Your pizza comments made me laugh. We in PA think we have some pretty good pizza. My BFF moved to CA for a few years and as soon as she came back to PA we had to go out for real pasta, pizza, cheese steaks and pierogies. that was one fattening weekend!!! With all the great food to pick from, we have never tried pizza at Disney.oops, I have to change that. I had an awesome BBQ Chicken flatbread pizza at the Roaring Forks at WLR. but never pizzafari!

Primeval Whirl spins? I thought it was like a wild mouse. Every time we have been there, the ride has been closed. It is on my list of to do rides this time but the spinning comment has me worried. I don't do spinning. I make Joe ride the teacups with Katie:lmao:.

I love how happy and giggly you are with Tigger! and cute mickey earrings, too!

Great great updates Kathy! thanks!

It was a beautiful proposal, and we had a blast in Dubuque with them. Alisha's parents are actually paying for the wedding. Dubuque has a much lower cost of living than what we are used to (gas was 51 cents cheaper when we were there and it is here at home  ).

Mark and I often do that...get a pizza when we return home from somewhere because there is nothing like Chicago pizza in our minds.

Tigger is a favorite and I always get a huge grin when I see him.

Not sure how I managed to miss this update all day yesterday. :confused3 The pictures of the 4 girls together are wonderful. Very, very cute! I'm glad you also got to spend a little quality time with Tiger & Eeyore! ;)

I love the indoors of Pizzafari. I am sure I will beating there this summer to get out of the heat!

I guess I'm not the only one who misses an update. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

The girls had a lot of fun and got lots of attention from the characters.

Pizzafari is very cute indoors and I definitely want to get more pictures there in September.

Geez, ANOTHER KatMark trip report? You take too many trips ;)

j/k. What did I miss?? I've been AWOL from these boards for a few months now, so I apologize for missing this one. Tons going on in my life right now (see my next TR for details!), so I'm not sure if I'll be able to catch up. I'm feeling bad about all the TRs I promised to read but did not for whatever reason, so hopefully I can dive into at least a few of them. :confused3

Jon, I've missed you. I sent you a PM that I hope you get at some point. Please do not feel bad...we all have things that come up that prevent us from doing what we'd rather be doing.

It was a special girls trip to celebrate my five year cancer free.

I'm glad you had a nice weekend visiting with Markie & Alicia (I know I didn't spell that right...). What a huge wedding... DH & I had a destination wedding in Jamiaca with only 9 guests!

I love all the character pictures with Pooh & friends! We've never gone over to that area before.

It was a great visit with the kids (I just wish we saw them more often). I really wish they'd just elope some days.

You must go to that area...such special attention from the characters.

So, what did I miss? A lot, I know. Sorry... :guilty:

Mark, you've had a lot on your plate...nothing to be sorry for.

Over Flame Tree? :sad2: Oh well, I know my kids probably would have voted the same way.

Yes, it was a hard choice because I do love Flame Tree.

Amazing what you'll be willing to eat when you're hungry. But even bad pizza is usually edible.

You are right...when you are really hungy just about anything tastes good.

You went to see a bear, a donkey, and a Tigger!

:woohoo::cool1::banana:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: You crack me up.

Man, I'm amazing!

Actually I was just proving that I wasn't skimming. So there.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: You crack me up.

This makes me imagine Mark sitting back in Chicago moping while you were having fun. :rotfl:

That could be...he sounded "lost" when I called him every night.

Oh, please. That ride is COMPLETELY different. One has elephants, the other has dinosaurs. You can't get more different than that.

You have a point there. ;)

HEY!!! You do know that's my boyfriend you're hugging right?? LOL Just kiddin!! Awesome pictures!! I hate PW, it hurt me the last time I was on it, so no more for me!! LOVED the updates, and the pics with the characters. My favorite spot!!

I didn't think you'd mind sharing a little. :goodvibes

I remember one of the boys getting pinched on PW one of our visits (either that or smooshed by their father).

We've never done Via Napoli; we had an ADR two years ago and cancelled it. Maybe we'll do pizza at the window in September if they still have that available because I can't fit the restaurant itself for an ADR into the schedule.

No, they didn't have to call security. They felt the love in the air. :)

I like the fact that Pizzafari now gives you a salad with your pizza. Not because of the health benefits of eating rabbit food, but so you have something else in your stomach to help soak up the grease. :rotfl2:

Tigger looked pretty happy to see you.

Yes, it is very greasy, isn't it. The salad was actually very good.

Tigger is always happy to see Miss Kathy.

Seriously? I've never really had good pizza anywhere in Florida. I have to be in the mood for pizza most of the time. The Italian Sandiwch? Maybe I'll give that a whirl in September.

As in HOT ITALIAN!!!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:I started a whole bunch of craziness when I said I had a HOT ITALIAN a few years ago!!! But that's my wonderful Dis Family for ya !!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes, yes you did...you little hussy.

Thank you...and thanks for the congrats on FB too. You have NO idea how much I had to grin and bear it to have my picture taken with Stitch. But glad they will make Jordan happy.

Yes, Alisha has probably over 200 just in her family. :scared1:

I know you are still reading. Trust me, I know the feeling of being overwhelmed with reports.

Those are some seriously adorable photopass pictures!

Thanks, Cynthia. We had a good time in that area.

I'll try to get the rest of our AK portion of Day 2 up tonight (maybe even what we did the rest of the day). My computer was acting funky last night, but Andy is going out to watch the high school where he coaches baseball compete in the State Finals for the Hockey team, so I'll use his if need be.

Did anyone notice I have a new ticker????? I don't have a resort yet. But I have a rental car and ADR's, so I figured a ticker was in order.

:woohoo: .... a new ticker!!!!!! :dance3:

:sad2: and we are going to miss you again, by just a few days! :sad2:

 I did the other day  happy you and Mark are going again....hmm resort maybe CSR :rolleyes1 should we take bets :thumbsup2
jealous you get to go again so soon...our next WDW trip isn't until Nov 2013 :sad2: but we might go to DLR next spring break for Megan's 13th bday

:woohoo: for the new ticker!!! I can tell our dates are close... but we are going to miss each other, aren't we? :confused3
