YUMMY MEAL!!! We ate there 2 weeks ago and my family loved it too! I got the pancakes like your mom and loved them but there are soooo many of them! I felt like it was almost a waste of food and I'm not really a breakfast person besides cereal lol. Can't wait for more!

Mmm I know it's so delicious! And I agree... it's a TON of food! Oh well, it's fantastic! Hopefully I'll be updating soon!

Our server was Erin and she was from New Hampshire! She was so nice and talked to me about the Disney Internship Program.


Do it if you have the chance. I went my senior year before graduating, had a blast, went back and finished off the last semester, graduated and went back to Florida a week later. A semester internship turned into an 8 yr career!!!

That's awesome to hear! That could totally happen to me I can't wait until my internship - it's going to be great!

Mmm, Kona is one of my absolute favorites! I've only been for dinner, but I'd love to go for breakfast at least once! You should definitely make a dinner ressie there one trip... it's FABULOUS!

I don't know if I told you this or not yet, but we just stayed at OKW on our June trip and I fell in love with the place! It's gorgeous! We were in building 19 and RIGHT NEXT to the Miller's Road bus stop.

Can't wait to hear more!

Chapter 15 - Animal Kingdom Adventures
February 22nd, 2011

We caught the bus at the Polynesian...

and headed over to our park of the day - Animal Kingdom!

Once we got there we grabbed Fastpasses for Kilimanjaro Safaris. The cast member actually just gave them to my Dad because there were issues with the machines, so we got more since our tickets weren't technically in use! We got some for Expedition Everest.

Dad went over to get those Fastpasses while Mother, Jonathan and I went to Flights of Wonder. I don't know what the heck it is with this show, but for some reason, whenever I go to Disney with my family, we always end up seeing it! It's really nothing spectacular, but they really seem to enjoy it haha.

You know at the end of the show when the bird is supposed to give the Tour Guide back his flag? It was so funny because the bird just wouldn't do it! He literally flew out and back to his window 7 times! It was really funny!

After Flights of Wonder, we met back up with Dad. And then Mother and I headed to DinoLand and went on Dinosaur!

That ride is REALLY scary! I sincerely wish I could go on it for the first time again so I could experience it without knowing what was going to happen. It's just crazy! I love it.

Then we took the long way to Kilimanjaro Safaris. (Yes, I've been to Disney over 20 times and I still have direction issues) We got there right at our fastpass time, which was 1:06 pm.

Our tour guide was an old guy from Brooklyn, NY. And we sat in the 2nd last row.

The safari was really good that day!! We saw tons of animals!

Like Rhinos...

Hippos

Crocodiles

Gazelles

Giraffes

Elephants

Flamingos (Mother's Favorites)

And Warthogs! (PUMBA!!)

After our safari, we just decided to head out. I got a Mickey Ice Cream Bar!

I also got a Conservation Hero Pin for Kristen for her Birthday Present (because she lost her pin when we went in January), and we got some Pizzafari Pizza to go. (because I can't go to Animal Kingdom without getting Pizzafari haha)

Then we got back to the room and... I fell asleep.

Great update! Lucky you that the FP machines at Kilimanjaro Safaris was broken. Now, you get double the FPs That's funny how in the Flights of Wonder show you saw a bird wasn't exactly obeying commands LOL It sounds like a cool show, I might check that out next time I go Love the picture of the Gazelle, looks like it was a good safari then Thumbs up to the Mickey Ice Cream bar! Loved the top you were wearing for your animal kingdom pictures, it fits with the theme so well! I agree about dinosaur being super scary. Even though my family goes on it every disney visit it still scares me every time. the ride photo is always hillarious because i am usually am hiding my face. i still love the ride despite of that.

Thank you! Yes, that was nice! I never wrote down when I went on Everest. I can't remember if I even used those FP's or not. I feel like I went on once. Eh whatever haha.

Hahaha thank you very much! It's actually Vickie's old shirt... she gave it to me because she didn't want it anymore! However, it definitely came in handy in Disney!

And you should keep a notebook! I just get a little one and keep it in my bag. Then I write down what happened at meals and on the busses so i keep up with little bits at a time. It helps you remember everything!
And you should read my other TR too - the one with Vick and Kristen. That one will make you REALLY excited for your trip And there's videos on there - i think you would enjoy them! The link for that one is in my signature.

Chapter 16 - Wolfgang Puck Express
February 22nd, 2011

After my mid-afternoon nap, I woke up and realized everyone was at the pool! I took a nice short walk and met up with the rest of my family!

Jon and I went in the pool, and then the hot tub, and back and forth multiple times. One time I missed a step getting into the hot tub, so I fell in. Frump.

While we were at the pool, we discussed what to do for dinner. And I was like "Well.... we have Pizzafari, Pizza Hut, Pizza.... Peanut Butter..?" So many options.

So then Mother suggested trying Wolfgang Puck, because I mentioned that I wanted to try it there. That sounded like a good idea to everyone!

We stayed at the pool for an hour or two, then we left and got ready to go.

We went to the bus stop and... the Downtown Disney bus was pulling away. WHY does this always happen? I don't know.

After about 15 minutes, another bus showed up and we had the whole thing to ourselves!

We arrived at the Market Place!

Mother wanted to take the classic picture of us and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

Soon enough, we arrived at Wolfgang Puck Express!

The line was pretty long and Mom and Dad talked to this woman in front of us. She was from West Virginia. And she had A LOT to say, aka there was no escaping conversation with her!

We finally got to the front of the line and we ordered. The guy who took our order made me feel very rushed. I suppose it was intended to be the most efficient way to get things done, but he would point at us, we'd say one thing, and he'd move on. It annoyed me because my parents are the type of people who need time to think. They like to get their extra this and extra that. So it was just not my favorite ordering experience.

So we sat outside and waited for our #62 to be called! Our waiter came and introduced himself - he was very nice! It's cool that it's a quick service but you have waiters too!

We got our food shortly. I got the Vegetable Pizza. (yes... I got pizza.. even though we had some in the fridge. ) It was good... but there were too many vegetables!! It made the Pizza soggy which was sort of sad. It was good but I probably wouldn't get it again.

Mother got the Butternut Squash Soup. I had a taste - and it was good!

And I think this is Mother's Entree. Unfortunately.. I'm not positive on what it is. I'm going to guess that it's a Beet Salad?

My Dad got these... and once again I'm not sure what they are. They look like Chicken Caesar Pockets? But I'm not seeing anything like that on the menu. I really just don't know. But hey, it's a nice picture!

Jonathan got Pepperoni Pizza (easy enough! LOL):

And my parents got a Creme Brulee for dessert!

Everyone really enjoyed their meals though! So yay!

Order: Vegetable Pizza
Rating: 3/5
Service: Okay. 3/5. Our waiter was good but the people taking our orders were annoying.
Overall Experience: We really enjoyed it here! My parents were very pleased with the food. I would probably get the pepperoni pizza next time, though, instead of vegetable.
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
1st Visit?: Yes
Revisit?: Yes! I would just order something different.
Complaints?: The CM taking our order and my soggy vegetable pizza.

For dessert, Jon and I went to Ghiradelli's to get dessert!

We got a Banana Split which was SO good!

I love how the tables are candy wrappers! How cute is that?!

Mom and Dad met us there after paying the bill, and Dad got a Strawberry Milkshake!

While we were there, Mom realized that she left a brand new bottle of Apple Juice on the table that we bought for Jonathan.

We went back and got it, and the waiter said "I knew you'd be back for this!" He was so nice. I love when waiters remember things like that!

After all of that, we headed back to the room. On the way home I called Kristen on the phone. Then the bus driver started zooming really fast around Old Key West! Like.... really really fast!! It felt like he was going 3 or 4 times faster than the speed limit! It was a bit scary... I don't know what came over him! We were not having good luck with bus drivers on this trip!

Once we arrived back at the room (thank God we were alive after that!) I worked on my Math Study Guide and got 2 sections done. The topics were Lines and Symmetry. Woo.

Then I went to bed. Yay.
