Sherton Vistana Resort Villas or HIFS?

Hi All, can't choose between Sherton Vistana Resorts or HIFS. It will be Me, DH, DD (14), & DS(12). I like the free breakfast idea at HIFS....not to happy about the construction and littler kids at that hotel. Vistana is about $300 more and no free breakfast and looks beautiful on the website.

What would you do? Need opinions quick!

3boysmommy was booked at HIFS but she won an auction and now is saving $299 over HIFS.

We are going Oct 31 - Nov 5th. From what I understand, since we are not staying the whole week (heading over to RPR at Universal for 3 nights), bidding on a resort "per night rate" wouldn't be that great of a deal. Mousesavers.com is advertising a 1 bedroom villa at Vistana at $99.00 a night. That is only a few dollars more than at HIFS. Is Vistana resort a better place to stay?

I know that there are 2 Vistanas in Orlando. I'm wondering if this great rate is for The Sherton Vistana resort villas?

We have stayed at both and loved the Sheraton Vistana Resort. Yes, the breakfast buffet saves you money but as you did mention the HIFS is under construction and I personally would not like to be there during that time. See if the Vistana can offer you a AAA rate, that is how we booked.

I have never stayed at the HIFS. I have stayed at the Vistana Resort. IMHO you kids would LOVE Vistana Resort. I commented to my DH during our July 2004 trip that this resort would be a great place for teenagers. LOTS of kids their age there. And it's very safe for your kids to wander around without parents. They also organize activities for teens. Plus, you will really like the space of the units at the Vistana Resort - and have a full kitchen and washer/dryer in your room.
