Sheraton Vistana Resort/Villages - NON SMOKING ROOMS AVAILABLE?

I called directly to the Vistana Villages because I like what I read about this hotel... but they do not offer non-smoking rooms. The reservationist said that all rooms are both smoking and non and that each suite is cleaned thoroughly. I have a daughter with asthma and the rest of us hate the smell of smoke so I don't know whether to chance it or not? Has anyone stayed there recently who can comment on the freshness of the rooms. Thanks!

We stayed there, though not recently.

I was concerned about this as well and also have a child with asthma, but let me tell you.....there was not a trace or even a hint of cigarette smoke in the villa. Not in the drapery, the bed linens, towels, furniture, etc.

The villa was immaculate upon check-in. If anyone smoked in our villa before us, we could not tell at all and I'm very picky about that.

I have never read a thread about this being an issue either, this resort only gets excellent reviews.

We were extremely pleased with this resort and would definitely recommend it
