We are heading to Orlando in June for a vball tourney that is held at ESPN and Orange County. Looking at these two resorts. We will not have a car and will need a resort with a restaurant. It looks like Vistana has more to choose from but Harbour Lake is closer to the convention center. We are only staying 3 nights. Thanks!

Both are great resorts. We love the Sheraton, but without a car, HL may well be the better option. It is right on the I-Ride Trolley red line which gives you access to a ton of restaurants and attractions during your down time. Can be a real bonus if you won't have a car; you can even take the trolley to the tournament if you like. Three day pass is $7pp. http://www.iridetrolley.com/index.html

ETA: Oops, sorry, looked at the map again, and HL is on the Green line, although a short walk to the Red stop too. The lines criss-cross right near there.

I've stayed at Harbour Lake multiple times, but only to visit WDW, and only when renting a car. The last time we were there, the resort hosted attendees of a conference at the convention center, and every morning about a hundred people in fancy clothes would walk out to the bus stop in front of the resort. I'm assuming they were taking the trolley or the Lynx 8 line to the convention center. You would probably have to take a taxi or Lyft to ESPN.

We love Harbour Lake. They do only have a grill at the bar by the pool though so food choice is a little limited. Everything we've had from there was good though. It also has the best hot tubs ever and a pool slide if you care about that. The resort is nice and compact.

Vistana has more food choices on property and you could probably even walk to a couple of places off property if you were up to a walk. It's a much bigger resort though so depending on what section you'd be staying in , you'd have a decent walk to get food.

I guess I wouldn't recommend staying at either place without a car if at all possible.
