Hi,

I was wondering if someone could post some pictures of the Fitness Centers at the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Lake Buena Vista? Which one is the best for weight lifting?

Thanks:)

There are a couple of pictures on the Sheraton site:

I have been in a couple of them and they are not setup for serious weight lifting; you won't find a Smith rack or cable station for instance. They all have benches with free weights, medicine balls, exercise balls, etc. if you want to do some regular resistance training. There is also some good quality cardio gear. I'm pretty sure that they have finished the updating of all of the exercise rooms now to the Sheraton fitness by Exos (Core) platform.
Although I exercise 3/week at home, I almost never do on vacation in Orlando. Walking several miles each day and carrying a pack with heavy camera gear, swimming on the down days; these are all enough to keep me fit so I don't really feel the need. Not to mention that giving my major muscles a week off the routine (they deserve a vacation too) often leads to some great gains when I return to the gym at home.

Awesome, thanks for the information. I was hoping they would at least have some strength training machines. I'm staying at the fountains part of the resort, so I was wondering if there were any differences between the gym there and the gyms on the other half of the resort (Spring, Falls, Cascades).

Maybe I'll give my muscles the week off as you mentioned. The gains will be calling my name though haha.

There are a few fitness centers in the area. Anytime Fitness is about a 10-15 min drive from Sheraton Vistana Resort. Gold's Gym is about 15-20 min drive. Contact them about signing up for however long you are in town. I do this whenever I travel for business. Hard to make gains in the hotel fitness centers. If not, you can stick with bodyweight (use the kids play area in for pull-ups) exercises to get a bit of a pump.
