Hi. My party of 6 is checking into the Vistana Resort on Monday May 7th - I got a deal off of ALLEARS so this not a timeshare exchange deal. Does anyone know what area they will place me in with a Mon. check in and will they try to give me the timeshare spiel while there?

BTW - I have stayed there 2x before once in the Fountains and then in the Cascades when my family went with my friend & her family.

On my reservation I requested Fountains or Cascades - my fingers are crossed but that is why I am here to see if anyone knows for sure.

My reservation says 1 king with 2 singles - but that could change at check-in right or is this wishful thinking?

TIA!
Michelle

With a Monday check-in, you could be placed anywhere Michelle. BUT, that "2 singles" on your reservation is telling and that would be the older Falls. You might want to call Vistana and see if they would offer any kind of upgrade rate so you get 2 doubles in the second bedroom.

As for the timeshare thing. Once you check-in, they usually direct you to another desk where they tell you that you can pick up discounts/coupons---like a "welcome packet". You want to avoid this as they will try and schedule you for a "breakfast", which is really a timeshare spiel. If you are lucky enough to skip the initial check-in attempt, they will probably start calling your villa the next day trying to convince you. I suggest you just unplug all the phones (there should be 3 in your villa) and just replug them back in when you want to check messages or make a call. But most people just use cell phones now anyway.
Good luck and hope this helps. Also, you might want to add the Lakes on to your request. They are next newest after the Cascades.

Thanks Maria!

I will call to see and add the lakes area and try to avoid the timeshare thing - UNLESS they offer free tickets to something - then I can give up 90 minutes of my morning I guess and be firm with my NO THANK YOU!

Again thanks!
Michelle

I think it was about 2 years ago we received a $100.00. It was worth it.
