Just booked this w/a promo for 4 nights and was just wondering how this area of I-Drive is since some parts are quite nice and others, well....just aren't. Also, how is this Vistana? We were going to try to book the one in LBV, but they said only this was avail. and that it was only 3 yrs old. Any info appreciated!
Thanks guys

We stayed there July 25-29th on a promotion. I thought the location was fine. It is a short drive down 536 to Disney. You'll get a good map at checkin.

The room construction at VV is finished (we stayed in a unit that was a few months old- building 27 first floor). The existing pool complex is very nice, no slide but a beautiful waterfall. There is also a heated quieter pool adjacent to the main one and two LARGE hot tubs.

They have done some very preliminary work on a new pool area close to the new units (our unit had a lovely view of the construction site).

There is newish strip shopping center closeby with a Publix and a Walgreens and a McDonalds as well.

There appears to be a number of new timeshare developments in the area still under construction.

It was very easy to get to from the airport.

We did not think the sales pitch was too high pressure but we own DVC and told them that up front. It did take a full 3 hours though, as you talk, then see a movie, then talk some more. Our sales lady says one in three buy. I sort of doubt that. Let me know if you have further questions.

I would stay here again, but I would not buy at developer's prices.

We actually don't have to do the presentation due to the fact that we're from Maine (don't know why, was just told that it varies due to what state you live in and the laws about time shares etc) so that's a plus. Hopefully they won't bug us too much to try and do it...We also own DVC and pretty much have no intention of buying here, but do want to check it out-we have thought about it as a possibility if we felt we needed more time as DVC is so expensive, but even if we did, we would prob buy second hand-not direct. Pretty much just want to stay a few nights, relax and check the place out. We would definetly stay again if the price and location are good and if it's comfortable and clean of course.

do you happen to remember what some of the resort activities at Vistana Villages?

We did not participate in any. On Thursday night I think there was a Jimmy Buffett style pool side party with live music.

I know there was other stuff but it escapes me, sorry.
