Sheraton Safari or Hotel Royal Plaza?

Here's the choice:

Regular room at Sheraton Safari for $49

or

Deluxe Tower room at Hotel Royal Plaza for $69

There'll be four of us, 2 adults and 2 teens. Its only for one night--what would you pick?

Hi, take the Sheraton Safari, it's a nice hotel (I visited both in April) - the $20 goes towards your evening meal and there is a brilliant Orlando Alehouse right across the road (have the chicken zingers - Mount St Helen sauce, mmmm!).
Nothing the matter with the Royal Plaza (in fact it's a better hotel), but you'll have to take the car to go out for a meal.
One night, no contest.....

Another question for you kindly bunch!

Is the Sheraton Safari within walking distance of Downtown Disney? That's what is ultimately going to decide my choice of acccomodation in that area as I won't be driving!

I suppose it depends on how far you like to walk!

For me personally, it is within walking distance.

It takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes to walk there and it is actually a very pleasant walk (IMO)......
