Sheraton Safari and Universal Studios.

Does anyone know how far the hotel is from Universal?

We plan on staying there over a weekend, go to Universal, then move to onsite at WDW? Trying to use my Starwood pts for this, but having a hard time figuring out how far, timewise, the resort is. We will have a car.

Any thoughts?

We've stayed at the Sheraton Safari. I just want to add-- it is really a nice little resort. We found the drive the the Universal parks to be about 20-30 minutes. A lot depended on traffic.

We have stayed there in the past too, and we found the drive to be about 15-20 with no real traffic. . . but longer if there was some.

its right by the downtown disney entrance to wdw so its not too close to universal but its not a long drive either

It is VERY easy to get to Universal from this hotel as it is located right on the corner of Palm Parkway. You don't even have to get on I-4. Just head north on Palm Parkway, which then becomes Turkey Lake Road. From Turkey Lake Road you make a right onto Hollywood Dr. which brings you directly into the Universal parking garage. It takes no more than 10-12 minutes.

I-4 still has a fair amount of construction going on. I would second the use of Turkey Lake Rd.
