Hey!

I have had this hotel booked for a while and due to go in a couple of weeks time , I haven't seen any recent reviews of it at all , just wondered if anyone on here had recently stayed?
I'm aware there is lots of renovation work going on.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Jade,
I just looked at the Yelp page for Sheraton Park Hotel and i'm afraid the Yelp reviews are bad. From what I read only three floors are open and the restaurant and gift shop are closed and there are several reports of rooms with a load of problems that can't be fixed. I did find another hotel you might call named Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and that hotel is fantastic and has a free shuttle to Disneyland and if you like Japanese food they have a brand new Japanese restaurant and it's a great hotel for the value. So you should try to give Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel a call and ask them what deals they have on their rooms
Hope I helped you a lot Jade

I've stayed at this hotel and I do not recommend it. While I appreciated the check in desk calling me to let me know when my room was ready, the room was dated and old. Food and the executive lounge were also unimpressive. It's potentially worth giving a second chance once the renovation is done but that's not yet.

If you are loyal to Marriott and looking for a similar level of hotel with an executive lounge, I recommend the Marriott at the convention center. I even prefer the Four Points to this Sheraton even though Sheraton is supposed to be a nicer brand. The Four Points does have some freeway noise though so you could also consider the Convention Center Courtyard if you don't mind a slightly longer walk. The two Springhill Suites both include breakfast, are usually priced similarly to the Sheraton and have larger rooms. I have not yet stayed at the Element but it is also a Marriott property that includes free breakfast.

If you're not looking for a Marriott property, I also like the Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hampton Inn and Hilton more than this Sheraton. Other people could probably provide more insight on the budget properties closer to the entrance.

Thank you for your replies and for the yelp recommendation , nice to see some up to date reviews.
I'm only looking for a base I'm going to be on the go all day so the amenities and renovation doesn't bother me at all hence why I booked knowing this. There isn't much left available in my budget so think I'll just have to risk it , wish me luck lol 🤞

The staybridge suites are available though so I could switch over to that - £300 more than my current booking though. Is the location of this hotel any good? Doesn't look too bad but doesn't look like much is around it.
Thanks again!

It recently sold and the new owners are doing a significant room and property update, which it need, but many of the recent reviews are not good, most concerning was the AC is still not cutting it. For the price you should be able to find other locations without the construction mess. Seemed very odd to be doing all this work, gutting the lobby, etc and charging full rates. The new ownership group also owns the Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites which is next door. I hope you have a good stay, please share your thoughts.

I have not stayed at the Staybridge Suites but it's significantly further to walk. If you don't have Marriott Platinum status or above, the Sheraton will not include breakfasts so the Staybridge Suites's included breakfast could help your food budget a bit. Given what I know about Staybridge Suites as a brand, I would expect room quality that's higher than this particular Sheraton. I personally would not pay that much more for the Staybridge Suites though.

Staybridge Suites at 1855 S Manchester Av is also now known as Sonesta ES Suites, but it is a wonderful hotel. My wife and I often stayed there, pre-pandemic.

They also include a snack event most evenings too, so that helps the budget go a bit further.
