Day 3
Another wake up call from the Mouse and we are all awake. We all slept much better last night, although we did wake up
a few times but we fell back off straight away. I'm feeling much more refreshed and ready for a day at Typhoon Lagoon. We make our
way down to the food court to get Lucy some breakfast and meet up with Rob and Sheila. Even though we are in the next room,
they always get up earlier than us, so we always rendez-vous there. Lucy chooses Fruit loops which look horrible but she
assures me they are lovely. She also has a Minute Maid apple juice and a banana. Rob and Sheila show up and join us and we sit
around waiting for Lucy to finish her breakfast. Eventually, we make our way back to the rooms to get changed and pack the bags
for the day ahead. While we are getting ready Lucy decides it would be a great idea to throw a strop and kicks off shouting and
screaming at me. She will not listen to anything i'm asking her to do and now the Mouse Keeper is here
I take her outside to try
and calm her down and eventually she stops crying - 10 minutes too late because now lots of people are looking! We are both a bit upset and i put it down to be tired and over excited.
I put my costume on and decide to put Lucys on at the park as its an all-in-1 swimsafe suit and i desperately want to avoid another scene. (i hope i'm
not the only one with a foot stamping DD!)
Now i only brought one towel with us from home and its a Tweenies one. The idea was to get us all Disneys ones, however we forgot
we would need them for the water parks. Rob, Sheila and Lucy go straight to the bus stop and myself and Martyn go into the
resort shop to buy 2 towels. We got a Mickey All Stars one and a pink one with the Princesses on. We assumed Lucy would be ok
with the Tweenies until we did some more shopping. Needless to say she threw a strop when she saw the Princess towel was not for her. This was going to be one of those days! Anyway we didn't wait long for the bus and we hop on. Whilst on the bus we have a discussion on how the "7 Day Hopper Plus + DQ" actually works, and to settle it we decide to ask a Cast Member when we get to TL.
We found a cast member and asked her how the ticket worked. On looking at them she then informed us that the tickets we had didn't actually have the water parks on them
just the 4 main parks and DQ. Well you can imagine how upset we were knowing that we had paid for tickets including 4 entrys into
the water parks. She advises us to go over to Downtown disney and speak to a Virgin rep. We get back on an All stars bus and it
takes us straight to DTD. We get off at the Marketplace and now have to walk back over to the Virgin Megastore.(its very hot
now and we are stressed, heat and stress don't mix)
The store isn't yet open but a rep is there to let us in, it seems we were lucky as Virgin were holding a welcome meeting there. We wait our turn and then explain to the rep what has happened. We are told there is
nothing they can do for us today as it sunday and all the virgin offices are closed. It is now nearly 11 am and have wasted half a day messing around.
We take the reps number and she tells us to give her a call after midday on the Monday. (midday!)
We are very confused now and we think a Haagen Daaz is called for. Martyn has a chocolate cone with 2 scoops of triple choc
chip (probably 20,000 calories), Rob had a chocolate cone with 1 scoop of ice cream, Lucy has a kids cup with strawberry Sheila had a cup with 2 scoops and
i had a nutty cone with 1 scoop of mint choc chip. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm lovely. We now decide that we won't enjoy the day till we have
gone back to the rooms and checked the invoice from Virgin to make sure we have purchased the correct Hopper plus tickets.
We get back to the rooms and pull out all the stuff in the safe, find the invoice and yes we have got the right tickets. Feeling
slightly relieved we decide to spend the day by one of the pools at the hotel, and will now ring Virgin tomorrow morning and speak to another
Rep to get this sorted asap.
We decide on the Phantasia pool, get the towels down on some loungers and jump in the pool. Now this is when i became the proud
owner of the Tweenies towel. Lucy see's the new princess towel and thinks it would be a good idea if i shared the towel with her.
When i say yes she then says "well you can have the Tweenies one Mummy and i could have this one". How could i refuse! ( did i
mention the Tweenies towel is less than half the size of the princess towel).
ASMO Fantasia Pool
The pool was very busy but Martyn, Rob and Sheila
manage to have a few races to see who can go under water the furthest. I think Martyn won. Lucy loves the the water shooting from Mickey and spends most of time having the water land on her head. Lunch is just a snack in the food court. Rob takes Lucy to
the play park and i have a walk around the resort to see what the other buildings are like.

I pass the MD's pool and its smaller
than the Phantasia one and not as busy. We spend another few hours or so down by the pool and then back up to the room for a afternoon
nap. The plan for the evening is K-mart for a few bits and I-drive for dinner.
Well the evening brought rain and plenty of it. (Whenever we get on i-drive it starts to rain?) We follow Rob and Sheila to K-mart
and manage to lose them the heavy traffic. Sheila rings to tell us the way. Just going from the car park to the shop we get soaked. We get toiletries, Lays, and a few other essentials.
After the hassle of driving in heavy rain and us getting lost we make our way back to Asmo and eat in the food court.
Lucy decides she needs to spend some of her money now and buys herself a flashing Tiara from the shop. She takes great pride
in wearing it and lots of people comment on how pretty she is. Feeling very tired now we head back to the rooms with the evening
hot chocolate.
Another big day awaits tomorrow... Epcot and the continuing of the ticket drama.
We catch up with the days news and lights off.
