I thought my luck had changed when I saw Host Phinny in the entrance to Tiki Tiki Island. I said hi! and she said HI! I let out a woot! and she asked if "do you want anything special?" I could not get out "room" fast enough and poof she was gone. I waited a few minutes thinking perhaps dc got her and she would return. I sent a message to the black hole and got this response.

That was the first thing I had thought of. I looked several times, no Pink Tiki, no Dreams Hat, no room added. The others in the room checked also.

I think the response was inappropriate. I would think Fin would be pretty
appalled by the way this was handled. There has to be chat logs that show
she asked the question, and since you weren't awarded any dreams, that's
just sloppy.

I saw a few hosts through out the week and each time they were looking for something specific. Thats probably what happen, but keep at it. It will pay off

I also think that was an inappropriate response just when I was really liking the responses I have been receiving in game for reports.

I've seen Hosts pop in and out of rooms very quickly on at least three occasions. I'm not surprised, however, I'm sorry it happened to you like it did.

I too have seen hosts pop in and pop out. I know they are looking for something specific but it the thrill to see a host and then leave. ARG!!!! painful. Keep your chin up there is still time.

While that is a surprising response, I know other people that have got personalized responses or messages in the past. I am sure it would depend on the report we don't see here that was sent that would illicide such a response. We know for sure and they have told us a hundred times not to use Help to get a host to visit rooms, the other thing is they are definatly not asking what we want. I sense a little of that in the response.

I too was in a room Fin entered and said "Hi, Hi. Looking for something specific" and she was gone before any of even saw that scroll up. Now I can tell you, you were looking at a room full of disappointed people. Some people moved on, others stayed. Fin did return in about 15 minutes and gifted us Dream Ears. Unfortunately we made my dd8 log off to go to bed after the first visit, so nothing for her.

This is not the hosts fault, because that is how they are supposedly implementing the event - Like it or not that is how it is opperating. I am sure we would all like the grand prize as well but it just isn't going to happen, some people will get it and the rest of us will just be out of luck.

Hopefully there will be other opportunities for those in that room.

Thanks to all for the support on this thread. I just don't understand why the response came back the way it did. "That is not the way it happened" Well just slap me silly and call me a liar why don't you. Bad enough that this actually happened, but then to say that I lied about what was apparent to others in the same room.
I think VMK staff needs to get an attitude check. If these folks were my direct reports I would being having one on one discussions concerning "guest relations" and the importance of maintaining a postive postion with the guest.
I guess it really does not matter much anyways as my thoughts are that VMK will just cease operations in the near future. Maybe staff will use the skills they learned at VMK in the nearest fast food drive thru. "Would you like fries with that?
