Sharks Underwater Grill @ SeaWorld - reservation needed?

I asked this question over on the SeaWorld board, but it is like a morgue over there. Perhaps you lovely folk can help instead.

I was looking to take the wife to the Sharks Underwater Grill @ SeaWorld for dinner on our anniversary next July, but was wondering if we would need a reservation in advance, or whether we could just get by with making one on the day?

Also, anybody eaten there before - any good?

We ate there about 5 years ago and it was nice. We were a large group (14) and our server seemed to be under pressure though. The food was nice and the restaurant was cool. We got a reservation that morning when we went to guest services or the equivilent on arrival but that was in late February and the park was not overly busy so I'm not sure how likely a reservation would be in peak season. Hopefully someone else has a better idea than me.

We were in Seaworld last february and wanted to eat there for lunch.

We tried to walk in at around noon, and the greeter told us that it would be at least 2 hours before we could get a table. Needless to say that we ate at another restaurant.

I would strongly suggest you made a reservation in advance (be it only for peace of mind) or at the very least make that reservation first thing in the morning when the park opens.

That restaurant is highly popular.
No review on the food though, we never had the chance to eat there (for lack of making a reservation soon enough ... sigh ...)

we ate there a few years back and we were able to walk in BUT we went in November and the park wasn't at all busy that day. But yes it is a popular place to eat and I also would say make a reservation. Can't remember what we ate but remember we did enjoy it but didn't rave about it.
