I hope this is the right place to post this thread.

Firstly, I great big huge enormous THANK YOU to all the DISigners who inspired me in this project and to those whose DISigns I have used.

I am pleased with the passport I made using mainly Otterpop's designs. The overall size is 5ins x 4.5ins and I think that is just a handy size. The binding was not inexpensive but worth it. Comb binding would have cost a little less but I thought it might be useful for the passport to be able to fold right back. The front and back have loose acetate sheets over them and I sprayed the printed pages with a protective coat of Spray & Seal. I have not included a photo of the mock passport identity page for privacy.

Just wanted to say you did a great job - it looks fantastic!

I made an Epcot passport for my DD on our last trip and it's a favourite keepsake. She got loads of attention because it was different and was a real talking point.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

Wow that's amazing, well done you must be really pleased the way it's turned out. Have you shown you're GS?

Love the album! Did you bring the files to Staples (or similar) to print, or did you print on home printer? I could not locate the cover pages (front and back) in otterpops files. Can you tell me where I might find them? Thanks! Nice job!

I cannot remember which kind DISigner made the couple of things that I used that were not Otterpops. However, here is a link by my Photobucket - I have put them in there. I hope I am not breaking any rules here and deeply apologise if I have.

I printed it on my home printer, which is a Lexmark. Staples just did the binding for me.

No, I have not shown the passport to GS. I am planning on doing a few more things between now and when we go in October. So there is plenty of time. To an almost 7 year old child, 6 months must feel like it is soooo far away.

Thank you to all posters. I am glad you like the passport and hope that it has given inspiration to some people.

The biggest thanks must go to the DISigners because, without them, I would not be able to do anything!

I only had textured card available at the time. I think it is around 210gsm. I used the textured side of the card for pics where there is no writing to be done and the plain side for where the cast members will write their messages.

I'm pretty sure the front and back page designs are Natalie's (Donatalie). Although that is the first time I have seen her images square. Her wonderful epcot passport images are rectangular.

Sue's Mum, where did you purchase your spray and seal and how do you like the product? I have been wanting to try something like that for my party printables.

I bought it from a shop in the UK called The Papermill Shop. The product is fine - does what it is supposed to. The first spray gives a very very slight sheen. More coats make the shine more intensive. I am coming to the end of my first tin and will certainly try and get some more.

Yep, definitely Natalie's. Very cute!

I LOVE your book and want to print the same pages for my cousin (7 too!)

Looks amazing

Another edit: Where did you find the stamp page and the page with the quote? Thanks

It looks great! I want to make 2 for my kids. Why did you spray the pages? Also where did you put the passport page in your book?
Thanks

I think I found some pages in Natalie's Photobucket. But I have put various other pages in my Photobucket - http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u296/Dibber1/

I sprayed the pages with Crafter's Companion Spray & Shine to give them protection. The printer ink will run if it gets wet, i.e. rain or sticky sweaty fingers. On the tin it says "Similar protective and preservational qualities to a layer of glass".

The passport ID page is the one after the front cover.

I used MS Word to make the passport. I inserted a picture and using "picture tools" I put it in the centre top of the page, then I resized the picture to 4" x 4". For the rectangular pages, I had to uncheck "Lock aspect ratio" and "Relevant to original picture size", to enable a square page to be formed.

Enjoy making them! I had a ball. In fact, someone has asked me to make two for her grandchildren.

I would really love to see photos of yours when they are done.
