We are DVC and had 2 rooms.
We paid $1395 for the DxDDP for my adult daughter and her boyfriend.
The food totals on our receipts plus an estimate of $6 per snack credit redeemed and 2 resort mugs totaled $ !,977.00.
So, nearly $600 in savings.
I will add the following:
We were left with 1 dining credit that we cashed in for snacks. Dumb, but the way it worked.
We used only 2 TS credits at ESPN, 3 @ Sci Fi, and 4 @ Skippers Canteen. ESPN was a light meal as we were attending a dessert party a few hours later. We were stuffed and had no problem at Sci Fi and Skippers Canteen. To give an idea, at Sci Fi, my D's bf ordered Chicken strips and onion rings (both apps) as his meal. Both D's and DH had an entree and I had the appetizer sampler as my meal. Drinks were 2 milkshakes and an alc bev, the rest water. 3 desserts were ordered by the ones not getting milkshakes but were kind of shared anyway. Lots of food left behind.
The other meals were fixed price and we had to use 5 or 10 credits per meal.
Additional observations: We used MANY of our snacks as meals. We spent very little on food OOP (about $200 for 6 days). We had granola and trail mix, bananas, a few single serve cereal cups with an almond milk and some juice along with cases of water bottles delivered. We didn't even use all that up either. I think that order was $120. We used Garden Grocer and felt it was pretty expensive, but we ran thru about 40 large sport bottle of water during our trip. So, that would have killed us paying Disney prices.
This was all a "win" in my opinion.
Cash and DVC discount next trip as there will be less TS meals planned. We'll see how we do with that.
