sharing on DDP

Quick question we have the DxDDP which is great for us. However my SIL is complaining about the amount of food. (we are all booked together so she is having the DxDDP)

So I was wondering if her boyfriend orders an appy, an entree, and a dessert can she just share or order something OOP light to add one or will everyone at the table be charged a credit?

She can* at menu service restaurants, but what's the point? What does she expect to do with the credits she doesn't use? The Deluxe Plan gives each participant three meal credits per night of the package. If all of you are using three credits per night for seven nights (for example), what's she planning to do with her 21 unused credits?

*There've been rare but existing reports of one location or another NOT allowing this - all diners were required to use a Dining Plan credit.
