Sharing food

Who are you willing to share food with? I mean eating using the same utensils and or swapping bites. What about drinking from your drink?

I will share with DH and my two kids, but that is about it.

I had a newish friend use my fork the other day and I couldn't bring myself to use it again, but I am not sure why. It is not like I thought I would catch something or anything, it just seems to cross my boundaries.

We don't tend to do much sharing of utensils and tasting etc. in our house. My son has a peanut allergy so we have to be carefu.
If I want to taste something that I am cooking for dinner I use a different spoon each time or I "refill" very carefully my spoon with the one the I am using to stir with.
So I don't think I would want to eat from somebody elses fork either.

I have a huge problem sharing w/ anybody! Sometimes I feel so terrible cause my kids will want a bite off my fork, or sip out of my drink and it's soooo hard for me to do it. I don't know why, but I've always been this way.

I'm not crazy about sharing with anyone although I have forced myself to accept a bite from DD and give her a bite in return (it's tough to teach sharing w/o doing this). However DH knows to just let me finish what I want and he'll get the rest. I think he'd share with anyone. When DD was a year old she offered him a piece of english muffin after she'd licked the butter and jam off and he just took it and popped it in his mouth .

I'm not big on sharing either. I will with DH but don't really like to. We are all grossed out by double dipping - YUCK. I'm the same with tasting as I cook as Crusin'Kroezes always use a seperate and new spoon.
