Our family of 4 (2A, 2C) are planning to get the DxDP for our trip in December. We are going to share our credits with another family of 4 (3A, 1C). I am hearing some say on the DxDP the adult and child credits are not separated but it is not a fact. So I figured up that we could all use 8 credits at 1900 PF (2 times), Akershus, Garden Grill (Candlelight so 2 credits), Crystal Palace, Tusker House (ROL package 1 credit), and Hollywood and Vine. We would have two adult credits left for our anniversary (Tutto Italia). We then would have 16 child credits left. Now if they are not interchangeable then our family of four could go to Liberty Tree tavern and my husband and I could split a meal OOp and use the credits for our children there. But my question is can we go to Be our Guest QS lunch with all 8 of us and use 8 child credits to pay for all of us since QS credits appear to not be separated into child and adult? Or could we also use the child credit at LTT for my husband and I? Just wondering if anyone had been able to do this at Be our Guest or if they are strict there? Thank you!

From what I've read, it seems like there isn't any real difference between adult/kid QS, so this might work (TS is a different animal, though). I think it likely just depends on the cast member and the restaurant.

All credits are pooled on the deluxe plan there is no differentiation between child and adult. Your adults can use all the credits if you want. There have been mixed reports of letting children using credits order from the adult menu as well. But if you don't want to use any of the credits on the kids, you can pay OOP for them and use your credits for the adults.

We did this in November. The credits are all pooled together and we used the kids credits for adult meals everywhere we went.

They even encouraged my 8 year old to pick adult appetizers and meals.

It worked out great!

caveat - this is how it is working now
who knows if Disney will close this loophole

When you view your receipt there is no breakdown of credit type, just how many dining and snack

Sounds like a great way to maximize the use out of the credits

I'm sorry. I really am not trying to stir the pot. Disney's dining brochure still states, "kid's MUST order from the kid's menu where available." So, even though, in practice, that's not what they do, why is this loophole sharing not violating the TOS?

The must is the issue. It says that, but the restaurants do not adhere to that

In regular DDP, the plan allots credits based on age - child credits and adult credits
that is typically enforced

If Disney chose, they could also do this with the other dining plans

If they don't, when they obviously can, implies they are fine w you using it as you want

Again, my personal thoughts and how I would choose to use it. Unless and until Disney chooses to enforce it

Okay, I got it. If Disney decides to close this loophole (as they did the other thing which has caused so much disturbance on the other forum), then we will no longer speak of it. I've been hesitant to encourage it even before the other thing, but will try to help others in the future with less hesitancy.

I can personally attest to servers encouraging our 8 year old to order three courses off of the adult menu when we were on the Deluxe plan instead of the kids menu, unbidden. This is definitely not something that the restaurants are enforcing with any regularity.

what other thing?
